It was early morning, with the sun barely peeking up over the horizon, and Sukanya was still walking. Despite her habit of travelling only at night, the feline was often seen in the early hours of the morning, getting a few more hours of travel in before she finally bowed to her exhaustion and found a place to sleep the day away. It was a never-ending routine now, and Sukanya, while happier than she had been in the last few weeks after her son's departure, was still tired of this routine.

She wanted something new, something fun. She was tired of being lonely, but she was afraid of unfamiliar company, so things just didn't seem fair to her. How could she welcome company, when company might attack her?

Her lungs began to ache, as they usually did in the crisp morning air, and she slowed her pace to a lazy walk, head bowed low and breath coming out in light pants. Ooh, she hated her lungs sometimes, she mused, and finally drew to a stop so as to catch her breath completely. She no longer had her bird familiar to pester her to rest when she got sore, so she needed to start remembering to stop herself. She huffed, and hunched her shoulders, concentrating on simply breathing.

Berfortoto woke with a start, nearly rolling over onto his side quite glad that his dream was not real. It had seemed very real, but thankfully it wasn't or he'd still be running for his dear life right now. Wide awake after that horrific event in his life, he stretched out the best he could in his small temporary den before getting up with a small yawn.

It was extremely early. He would normally never wake up this early in the morning. He was a lazy guy; he'd probably wake up at noon, getting in all the sleep he could before setting off to wherever he would decide to go. The male stretched out once more before setting off into a light trot, deciding to get an early breakfast. Perhaps prey would be easier to catch because they were sleeping still, or probably just getting up.

He could help but smile, feeling incredibly refreshed for some unknown reason. It was probably because he was up at such an early hour.

Finally catching her breath, the leopardess stretched and took a few deep breaths, testing her lungs, before she began to walk - slowly, so as to not further tire herself. She would need to find a den to rest in for the day soon, she thought, glancing at the horizon where the sun was rising sluggishly. She gave a soft smile, pausing to watch it even though it was dangerous after the sun arose.

The colours were just beautiful though, and she was often captivated enough to stop and watch. The whisps of clouds on the horizon just made the colours even more pretty, lighting up the white and grey with different shades of the morning sun.

Entranced by the slowly appearing colours, she did not glance around her surroundings to check whether it was safe to stop or not.

Berfortoto trotted along, humming a small tune to himself, more than ready to start his day. He liked how the sky looked so early in the morning. The colors were wonderful to look at, slowing down to a small walk as his head was raised to look at the morning sky. The male liked how the night sky blended with the morning sun, enjoying all the different colors interacting with each other. It was a pity that the sky could only remain like this for so long.

"Wow. It's really nice." he said to no one in particular, not realizing there was another feline present. "Is every morning like this?"

Sukanya startled at the sound of another's voice, and she spun to located the source. Spotting the lion not far from where she was - though it seemed that he had not spoken directly to her, as he wasn't even looking at her. Instead he was looking at the morning sky as well.

She hesitated. She probably could have disappeared while he was still distracted, but he had asked a question, and a small conversation wouldn't hurt, would it?

"Not always," she said, her voice quiet but carrying the distance between them. "The clouds make the colours different, and the seasons change it sometimes - but it is always rather beautiful." She flicked her gaze back towards the sky, with a slight smile on her face.
