The Uchiha Compound is one of the few spots in Suna that actually has trees, and its own water source. The compound itself has a crap load of rooms, whether they need to be used for sleeping, for training, or for anything else. The grounds are large, and are surrounded by tall walls. There are guards here 24/7, as important meetings are held here, as well as Wartime meetings. The War Room is a large room full of maps, and profiles of every available ninja in the village. There is a large table, with plenty of chairs located about the area. Directly connected to the war room, there is a small infirmary. It can't hold a candle to a real hospital, but emergency procedures can be performed.

She was hooked up to a machine which was used to monitor health. Now, this wasn't the first time she had woken up on a hospital bed, and she had learned the immediately sitting up usually resulted in some sort of pain. Jade took a deep breath, and assessed the situation. Her eyes fluttered open, gazing about the area. First, she noticed the Uchiha symbol on the far wall, and it immediately hit her as to where they were. Secondly, it occurred to her that she wasn't wearing anything, and was on her stomach. Thirdly, Jade noticed there was not a single bottle of sake located anywhere near her. With a sigh, Jade closed her eyes, trying to move passed the block in her brain to think about what had actually happened. The scouting squads had been attacked by Iwagakure ninja. One of the squads had reported it, and then something odd had happened. The man was too calm, too collected. Jade's wariness had kept her alive. With a start, she thought about Aeden and Kay. What if she hadn't been fast enough? Jade caught the brunt of the blast, but did Kay make it? What about Aeden? A momentary bout of panic took away her comprehension and speech ability. Her hands got ready to push against the bed, when she felt a certain tightness in her muscles and skin. The blast HAD hurt her apparently. It looked like Aeden had dealt with it, but it wasn't completely healed. It was then that Jade realized she wasn't alone in the room. A familiar doctor was watching her, with a creepy smile on his face. When the good doctor saw Jade's awareness, he began to speak. "Ah Lady Uchiha, how pleasant it is to see you!" Jade grimaced, which was obviously mistaken by the good as a warm welcome. The doctor had a clearly german accent as he spoke. He started walking around, his boots clanking against the floor "I was wondering when you would awaken Madam! I heard the office exploded once more ah? Someone wanting to bathe in your blood again?" The doctor started cackling, doubling over and clutching his stomach in laughter. Jade's eye twitched once, as she momentarily wondered how on earth this man was even declared sane enough to be an actual doctor. "Ah, I remember my old days, taking down wave after wave with my good old friends Takeo, Nikolai, and that heinous american..." Jade raised an eyebrow, wondering what on earth he was talking about. She desperately wanted to rise, and go out to defend her village. The eagerness and aggression must have showed on her face, as the good doctor smiled. "Don't you worry my lady I shall have you up and running in a moment! Just let me assess the damage yes?" He moved to her, and Jade relaxed her body, knowing he was going to touch her back. When he did, minor discomfort flashed across her face. "Yes yes a very fine specimen...I wonder how those damn monkeys would fare against this one...hrmm..." He said, as he prodded her with chakra. Jade's face was indifferent at this time. "Oh the little creepy crawlers would love to get their nasty little hands on this one! I'd be willing to bet the american's life that they would all go pop!" Again, he cackled. "You are a very very fine lady, now go! Blow something up! Break necks! Dip your straw in their blood and-" He made a slurping noise at this time. "Drink it up!" He laughed once more, and left the room, cackling to himself. For a moment, Jade did nothing but lay, contemplating the meaning of life. That doctor sincerely needed help. Or a knife to the head. She brushed off those thoughts as she rose tentatively, not wanting to harm herself. Mostly, Jade was sore. Her clothing had been in tatters, but someone had been smart enough to fetch her battle outfit. Even so, they went as far as to get her a new Kazekage robe, and even her weapons. Jade suited up, stretching her body out as she did so. When she was just about to leave the room, the heaven's opened up. Or at least Jade felt as if they had. A bottle of unopened sake, straight from the rice country sat on a table. She smiled, and uncorked the thing. As Jade moved through the war room, she saw her task force already assembled. Immediately, Jade began giving orders. "If there haven't been additional guards posted at the gates, I want them in the next 10 seconds. I want a body count, as well as a list of the injured. No one gets in, or out of this village. I want scouting parties throughout the entire village! If there are any foreign Shinobi, detain them, use force if necessary. I want the genin rounded up and taken care for. Any Chuunin and Jonin shall report to me. We will find the enemy stupid enough to set foot in Suna, and attack us, and obliterate them." The ninja around her cheered once, and immediately set out to complete the tasks given. Jade sat at the table, looking at a map as she waited. ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

A random fellow Uchiha member waited for the opportune moment to approached the Kage in order to ask her a question he had been holding since the Kazekage attacked. When he found the moment and approached and bowed to Jade, the head of the clan. "Kazekage-sama, as a fellow Uchiha, I must purpose the question. Since you are the Clan head, why not call in our fellow clan-brethern whom we know we can trust, and ask them to help assist us. Surely they will answer the call of their leader."

He had never been here before, and reveled in all the sounds and smells he hadn't picked up in a while. Running water, flora, and of course the people who lived here. Before he got too deep in he was stopped by a guard. He respectfully bowed and spoke formally. "I have come here to see the kazekage. I am requesting further orders from her, seeing as how the others have been taken care of. I would appreciate an audience with her, even if only briefly." The guard pointed the way, and Kay jogged through the halls. Upon reaching a point where he could see her in his otosan, Kay sped up. Once there he saw Aeden, and a newly awakened Jade. The crazy doctor was still ranting about how "the theater" was a much less pleasent experience than "the ascension" but all mattered not. "KAzekage-dono, what are your orders ma'am?" he asked bowing formally. Now was a serious time and he would act accordingly.

Jade had just picked up her sake bottle, when her own clansmen spoke. She paused, having pondered that herself. Honestly, in an invasion bad enough to render her useless or one that racked her village, she would call on her fellow clansmen. At the moment, she knew nothing of the danger, only that it of course involved explosives. So far, no other area of the village had been damaged. "I'd fully expect them to heed my call, but at the moment I know nothing of the threat. It could be a a small rebel force, easily squashed under our might. If that is the case, I would not wish to call reinforcements when none our needed." She said, hoping that was enough to answer their questions.

When Kay arrived, Jade raised an eyebrow at the formality. Before answering, she gazed about the war room, taking a quick role call. Of course, David hadn't come, and Akura had disappeared. She momentarily hoped they were safe, then brushed the thought aside. Their was a goal to keep in mind. If she lost her head thinking of smaller things, nothing would get done. It was then that Jade noticed her lead Jonin was missing. With a deep breath and a yearning glance at her sake, Jade spoke. "Find Etsushi Motarasu, and find what the hell is taking her so long to get here. Before you go, was their anything you noticed." Jade nodded her head at him, attempting to convey her wishes for his safety. Then sh/e had an idea. Jade cut herself, and formed familiar hand seals. She stepped back away from the table, not wanting to destroy it. When she slapped her hands on the ground, a large puff of smoke emitted. A growl resonated throughout the room, and the smoke was blown away. The manticore stood before Kay and everyone in the room. It's teeth were showing, and its tail posed to shoot. Jade put a hand on it, and spoke in a low voice. The language she used was something unheard of, ancient, and teeming with power. The manticore's eyes flashed with knowledge, and it sauntered over to Kay. "Take this Manticore, he is a brilliant warrior, and deadly as all hell. The barbs on his tail are poisonous, acid like, and his saliva will stop the burning, but not heal the wound. He can fly as well. You'll learn to summon him one day, though for now, he will listen to you, just treat him with respect, as he could eat you in one bite." Jade nodded her head, and the Manticore fell in step with Kay.

"Ionly noticed that they were puppets, not organics." he nodded again and said: "I understand. Come then Manticore," he said rubbing the beast's mane and then hopping on it's back. It was warm, and it's low, unimposing growls made the hair on Kay's neck stand on end. It lurched forward, out the door, and then it's massive wings outstretched. It began to run, Kay holding on to one of the spines on it's back, and then jumped. One mighty flap, and a dominant roar that shook Kay's otosan, and they were gone with the wind. The flight would shorten the travel time by a large degree, and Kay steered it towards where he most expected her to be; the training grounds. It was the last place he'd seen her, and he would pick up the trail from there.

She landed, and Kay hopped off. "Be right back," he said as it shifted to help him get Sushi off his back. "Don't worry Sushi, Jade will take care of you. Dashing through the hallway to the wartime room, he carefully laid Etsushi on a cot in a room where other injured villagers were. "Just rest for now sensei. I'm going to take care of him... no one hurts my family and gets to hurt my family TWICE and get away with it." He had a certain air of determination to him, and though his words were true the emotion behind them was saturated in worry mixed with his anxiousness. He paced back and forth in front of her, awaiting a response from her, but when none came he sighed, lowered his head before her in a kind of prayer for her to get better, and then ran to tell Jade what he had found.
Now in the war room before the numerous clan members and higher ranks than himself, Kay was more nervous than before, and spoke accordingly. "The puppets in your office. The explosion... the mystery assailant. It all makes sense to me! The village is full of homicidals with puppets, but none stupid enough to attack you. Who would make a military faction to take you on? Nonono, ruled out of possibilities. But then it could always have been a vengeful group wanting revenge for Koi's death. Not plausible as her followers would have struck by now. But the one thing that sticks out makes more sense to me than anything, and I was blind to it the whole time!" He realized he was going in circles and got to the point. "I overheard a name, and it coincides with the entire situation. Zane Hajime. Former kazekage. He was a puppet master, and he was going crazy before he left. Not to mention that and him and sushi had a... thing If anyone knows, than it would be her. She engaged with him, and he tried to blow her up, or I gathered that from the crime scene. Aeden sensei managed to fix her but recommends rest. I'm going after him. Don't try to stop me!" He finished after sounding like a Salarian. The only mission he wanted was one of vengence. For the pain he'd inflicted on etsushi twice, her heart. For his abandoning them all. For hurting his mother. In the next second Kay was atop the manticore and on his way to the next logical location. The Marketplace...

..................................................................................................................................................✖✖✖✖✖ It was like Etsushi was staring at the end of a long dark tunnel. She was aware of Kay taking her to the Uchiha compound, setting her down, and talking to her. She didn't respond, making it best that she shut down her mind completely. It was like she was back in the abandoned cot giving birth to her child. Her father's sword swinging down destroying the life of a child who had never got to live.
Tears pooled into her eyes and she let out a scream of agony, statling the med nins around her. Her hands went up, palms pressing against her eyes as she cried, her screams ripping across her throat rubbing her raw. She cried, listening to the sounds of distant explosions. Her screams were louder than those whose limbs had been crushed, her screams filled with more pain than those who were dying. For a second, every person in the room seemed to stop and look at the Crimson haired girl, pity washing over their body for the assassin. Then all at once the tears stopped, the shaking over her body ceased, and her hands fell away from her face, eyes hallow, glassy, devoid of any emotion.
Etsushi felt it for the third time in her life; her mentality snap, her conciousness give away to her subconciousness. She didn't fear, didn't feel pain, didn't feel. Just a numbed sense of nothingness. If someone stabbed her repeatidly in the chest, she wouldn't blink in pain. The first time she had felt it was when her child had been killed by her father, thinking that the child would be born with red hair, shaming the Hyuuga name again; only for Etsushi to realize the child had been born with the standard dark brown hair. Even though she was still bleeding from the birthing process, that night Etushi had slaughtered the Hyuuga household earing her name in the Bingo book. The second time had been when she had gotten the news of her sister's death during the previous Chunnin exams. After she had cried, she had hunted down the people that had killed her sister. One of them had slashed her back with a katana dripping with poison to cause so much nerve damage, people would die from the pain alone. She had killed the entire group, and walked back to Suna before she had even registered the fact that she was in copious amounts of pain.
And now... now she was here, Zane having died and come back to life. Her Zane. The man she had loved. The childish, stupid man who had, one laugh at a time, changed her from the cold blooded killer to someone who actually thought twice before slaying someone. The man she had been closer to than her own sister. The phantom feeling of his lips against her flarred to life suddenly and she felt a swirling darkness twist into her brain and her heart. The more it swirled, the more lost and emotionless she became. Soon the feelings of the one fifth degree burns now first degree disappeared all together, the phantom feelings of his lips faded. If anybody had looked at her at that moment, they would have thought she had died; the only indication she was alive was the barely noticeable up and down motion of her chest. ✖✖✖✖✖ No pleasure

Jade, found the b*****d. marketplace. Jump in if you want in on the fun. Show him the power of Flash and Fury. Aeden's voice echoed in Jade's head. As a Yamanaka, he had the ability to telepathically speak with someone he had a strong bond with. Flash and Fury... that was their duo name back in the day, when she was untouchable and he was unstoppable.

The clone spoke as he stared at the guards, and they let him pass. Entering a room he saw Jade, along with Etsuchi. -" J-jade-dono... W-what happened in the village?" The clone asked the woman, looking over at Etsuchi. -" Who did this?" He then asked, with his fist closed, and his stone sword in hand, ready to chop some heads. ~ [Chakra: 19/25]

As soon as Kay entered carrying Etsushi, Jade's heart skipped a beat. She put down her papers, and was about to rush over, and made herself deliberately slow down. Acting panicked would only cause strife and chaos in her village. She waited for Kay to come to her, and as she thought he would, he did. As he spoke, Jade found herself thinking about space travel, impending obliteration from an alien race, and someone named Mordin. Then, Kay got to the juicy parts of his speech. Zane Hajime, former Kazekage. She nodded her head swiftly in response, and as much as she wanted to stop Kay, Jade didn't. Yes, he'd probably get hurt, but Jade had been that head strong and rash before. She'd go after him, but for now, Etsushi was who needed to be tended to. Aeden had taken care of her physically, but mentally, that was a different story.
Jade's robes billowed about her as she briskly walked to the next room, where Etsushi lay. The screaming had died down, and that was worrying Jade. From what she recalled, Zane and Etsushi had an emotional tie, at least that was what the reports had told her. For a moment, Jade did nothing but rest on the wall, watching the poor woman. Her heart went out to her, as she had been through something quite similar. Jade moved over to her bed, kneeling next to her. "Sushi-san, I will not preach to you about how it is easy to get over the pain of someone close to you harming you, for getting your heart ripped out. It is not." Jade paused for a moment, feeling as if she was talking to wood. "I cannot empathize fully with you, as it was not a single being who harmed me. My entire village cast me out on something that was no't my fault. I gave my entire life to them, and in the blink of an eye, they tore everything away from me.
" Again, she paused, hoping Etsushi was listening to her. Jade remembered how far she fell after the Leaf Village threw her away like trash. That was actually when she had picked up drinking, and the habit still stuck with her. "For awhile, I did nothing. I was nothing. Nothing but a former shell of myself. It wasn't until a rather large man practically beat a conscious thought into me." Jade smiled inwardly, forgetting her hard feelings for the Leaf Village once more. The man breathed life into her with one word. "Live, Sushi-san. Do not let anyone take your ability to live from you. Live for your village, live for your memories, live for those who love you, and live for yourself." Jade straightened out her back, and turned away from Etsushi, praying to Kami that she would take her advice.
Just as Jade closed the door to Etsushi's room, a high pitched note hit her ears. Her lips pursed as she waited for it to pass, but it didn't. Of course, it wouldn't go away, not until she focused on the fact that some other voice was in her head. When she let it in, Aeden's manly voice poured into her mind. Her eyebrows furrowed, and she immediately started heading in that direction. Once more, she was interrupted. This time, it was Akura, rushing in to speak with Jade. "Kay believes it was Zane Hajime, the former Kazekage. Apparently, he's been using puppets to destroy certain areas. As for wear he is, Aeden believes he is at the Marketplace. I have a hunch it may be yet another puppet, but there is only one way to find out. Come with me, and let us settle this nuisance, we have many things to take care of." She moved out of the building, heading for the marketplace.

For some reason the little demon inside of her stirred and brought back a memory from the hospital. Zane's lips pressed against hers. Etsushi's eyes closed, Jade had felt the same as her? No... she couldn't have. Jade had someone to love her, but Etsushi, Etsushi was all alone. The man who had made her a human had just stolen her soul. And she wanted that mans blood on her hands. She wanted to bathe in it. She wanted to feel it wash over her skin. And yet...
And yet she wanted to be so close to him, to move in the same way, that she would become him, and he her. Just for a moment. Etsushi opened her eyes, still hollow and glassy and sat up, the pain from her body not registering in her head. She hopped off the gurney, and made her way out of the hospital towards the sounds of screaming.
