Mirie walked into their den. Lee was curled up, sleeping heavily. He smiled at her. It was weird for him to imagine himself befriending a cheetah, but here is proof that it could happen. As he went to lie next to her she started to mutter in her sleep. He listened to see if he could understand what she was saying.

There was a small grey and black pup. She was calling to her. "Come on!" Lee looked at her confused. Why was this pup talking to her? Had they met before? She stepped forward, only to have a purple pup run past her. The pup looked just like a mini Mirie. She smiled and walked after him.

“Little Mirie where are you going?” She asked. The pup stopped and looked at her. He looked at her with confusion.

“How do you know my name? Do I know you?” He watched her defensively. Lee laughed.

“Well you look just like my friend Mirie, just a lot smaller. You even act like him.” She explained. “So where are you and the other pup going? Isn’t it dangerous for two young pups to travel alone?”

“My sissy wanted to go out on an adventure. I am going to protect her.” His legs were shaking as he said this. “I should hurry before she gets too far.” As he went to run after her, Lee stuck a paw in front of him. It almost made her laugh, seeing her paw the size of his head.

“You are so silly little Mirie! If your little sister got hurt you couldn’t do anything to help her. What can a scrawny little pup like you do? I bet you couldn’t even get past me.” She said batting her paw at him. “Why don’t I go with you and protect you both?”

Mirie hesitated. It was true that he probably couldn’t protect his sister if they were attacked, plus the cheetah looked strong. “Alright, I’ll let you help me out. What is your name? You know mine so it is only fair that I know yours.”

‘This Mirie is far more trusting than Mirie.’ Lee noted. “My name is Leenah-Sesi, but big Mirie usually calls me Lee. So lets go!” She bolted after the grey pup, leaving Mirie in the dust. It wasn’t until she reached the watering hole that she noticed something was up. “Little Mirie where are you?”

Mirie’s eyes grew big as the cheetah ran toward the watering hole. He had never seen anyone run as fast as her before. He trailed far behind her. Once he caught up he saw Lee looking around for him. “I’m right here. You ran way too fast!”

“Sorry little Mirie! Big you is faster and I am used to him. Now where is your sister?” As she said this the world started to get a bit blurry. “What is going on?” When she said this Mirie disappeared, along with everything else. Than everything went black.

“Lee wake up! Wake up!” Mirie shouted at the sleeping cheetah. She started crying about the darkness and about Mirie disappearing. “It is only a dream.”

She opened her purple eyes and looked at Mirie. It was normal Mirie. “What happened? Is little Mirie okay?” She asked as she looked around the den. “How about little Mirie’s sister? Did she make it to the watering hole okay?”

“Lee you had a dream. Little Mirie and his sister do not exists.” Mirie explained. He thought it odd that little Mirie had a sister just like that. “What happened in your dream?”

Lee looked around to make sure it was a dream. “I saw little Mirie chasing after his sister-“

“What color was her fur?”

“Grey. It was grey and black.” Lee remembered. “She wanted to go on an adventure. Little Mirie followed her because he was scared that she would get hurt. I told him I would protect him and his sister, but I ran too fast. Than when he caught up everything started to get blurry. Than everything went black and you woke me up.”

Mirie stared at her, unsure what to do. It was obvious that she wasn’t lying, but how would she know about his childhood. Unless she was a seer, Mirie thought. He had heard tails about creatures able to see the past, presents and future. They were extremely rare though. “Lee, I think you might be a seer.”

Lee tilted her head in confusion. “What are you talking about Mirie? What is a seer?”

“A seer can see things like the past or future. They are really rare. I think you saw part of my childhood. That was my little sister you saw.” He said. “You have to keep it a secret though. If others knew what you were they would try and use your ability for their own good.”

“I’ve had other dreams like this. Does that mean what I see is actually happening or happened?” She asked.

“Yes. Did you see anything bad?”

She nodded her head. “I- I saw my older brother, I think. He was fighting another cheetah. I couldn’t see the other cheetah very well. I could see my brother very well though. He looked just like me. Except a little different.”

“Was he a cheetah?” Lee nodded again. “Well now maybe we can find him. That would make things a lot easier huh?”

“His name is Kyros. That is what he called himself.” She said. “Mirie I might actually meet him. I knew I had a brother! I can’t wait to meet him again. He can tell me everything that has happened over the last few years. Maybe he can even show me where my mommy and daddy are!”

Mirie smiled at Lee. He was glad to see how excited she was over this, but it worried him that she had no memory of them. “Lee, do you not remember your family?”

Lee looked down, a bit a shamed of her self. “I forgot. I tried not to, but over time I forgot everything about them. I couldn’t’ even remember their names or how we got separated. I know that we cared about each other though. I just know that. I think that if I see them again that maybe I can remember everything.”

Mirie looked at her sympathetically. He would hate to have no memories of his family. It was odd, he thought, that she had no memory of them. Was it the cause of an accident or was she just born forgetful? “We will start looking for him. Don’t worry; I am sure that together we can find him. For all we know he could also be looking for you.”

Lee smiled. Yea her brother was probably looking for her just as hard as she was for him.
