(Private RP for Sonja (Angelique DelaMort) & Akh (Twitchapter the 3rd) including lead in in-thread RP) Twitchapher the 3rd Thread is full of red mares! *tosses out Akh to balance out the colours* =BAkh: Come now. Not need to throw. D| Angelique DelaMort Sonja: *laughs at the poor tossed male* Just like the two leggers, right? *turns attention back to the group of mares* The name's Sonja, nice to meet you all. *Eyes the popping pony* Of course you're not scared. You were waiting to make a strategic entrance, right? Twitchapher the 3rd Akh: *sighs and ruffles his wings* Ya...It seems like I'm not getting my mask today either. =/ Angelique DelaMort Sonja: *She eyed her own beautiful feathers for a moment before eying the male again* It's a rough deal, huh? But why do you need a mask? We all already know what you look like. Twitchapher the 3rd Akh: *smiles to Sonja* It's a family thing...My mother, my father, my grandfather, my sister...We all have masks...I sometimes wear mine, sometimes don't...Today I did feel like wearing it but..*smiles and shakes his head slightly* Pardon my manners. My name is Akh. *bows to her* Angelique DelaMort Sonja: *grins in greeting* Hiya, Akh - I'm Sonja. So it's like a tradition, huh? Twitchapher the 3rd Akh: *nods* Both my mother and my grandfather have a..Certain mask. I believe it has something to do with my great grandfather but...Grandfather does not like to speak of him. I don't know much about my family beyond what I was born into. All I know is my great grandfather had a mask, and sings. Angelique DelaMort Sonja: Wow...that's still...well, fascinating *she flashed a quick almost embarrassed grin* Sorry, I don't really come from any family, so to speak, at least none that I can recall. I see all these soqs around here with generations of families around them and it's...amazing to me, simply amazing. Especially one like yours with that type of tradition and good way to recognize your kin. Twitchapher the 3rd Akh: Well, again I don't know most of my family. My mother has heard it's pretty big but not even she has met them. And as far as I know, both me and my sister are single....So the line pretty much ends with us until my aunt has her own kids. *laughs* Angelique DelaMort Sonja: *laughs along with him* What? You're going to tell me a handsome guy like you don't have someone waiting in the wings? Actually, I'm shocked they're not a little more forward *she grinned* Twitchapher the 3rd Akh: That's what I am tell you. No one has well..Come forward. I wouldn't mind company but I suppose I should enjoy being single for now. Angelique DelaMort Sonja: You should enjoy what you have, if you're not then what's the point? For example...my buddy Aydan drives me Crazy...he's always on about how I need to be safe and I need to not do this and not do that, blah, blah, blah *she grinned* But I don't worry too much, I see this as an opportunity to teach my pal how to loosen up...or...turn his mane completely gray - I'm flexible. Twitchapher the 3rd Akh: Well family is a big thing for me so well..I do want to start my own family..Sooner then later. *laughs* You are only young once after all...But having fun is important too. Sadly I don't know many others so I'm often alone. Angelique DelaMort Sonja: Alone is ok if you like it, but for me...well, I'm always looking for something new and fun to do but it's always more fun if I have a friend or two along for the ride. Twitchapher the 3rd Akh: I'd rather not be alone but again, I don't know many others. So as far as my life has been lonely... Which is sad... Angelique DelaMort Sonja: It is...so, *tilts her head curiously* what are you going to do about it? Twitchapher the 3rd Akh: umm well...I am talking to you...^^; Angelique DelaMort Sonja: *grins* Good start. Twitchapher the 3rd Akh: Haha..I suppose I'm a bit sheltered...I'm not too sure what to say now. Angelique DelaMort Sonja: *folded her wings back and smiled* Well, from what I've observed in polite society I guess I could ask you about some of your interests and after you've answered, you can ask me some of mine. Twitchapher the 3rd Akh: Well I would like that! It would be nice ot learn a little about you Sonja.*nods* Angelique DelaMort Sonja: All in due time, I asked you first *smirks* Twitchapher the 3rd Akh: Well then what is it you would like to know about me Sonja. I've already told you about my family. Angelique DelaMort Sonja: Well, I know you say you're lonely but I hope you don't sit around all the time dwelling on it. What do you like to do? Twitchapher the 3rd Akh: I like to travel. Taking in new sights and all. Though I also help out my mother and grandfather a lot too. So really when I'm not traveling I'm helping my family. Angelique DelaMort Sonja: Travel? *eyes brighten* Where have you gone, what have you seen? Twitchapher the 3rd Akh: I've been flying around mountains lately. They are beautiful around sunrise and sunset.

Sonja grinned, "I bet they're pretty pretty any time of day. Have you seen anything else? Anything fun or creepy in the mountains? Killer goats, snowwalkers..."

 The male laughed. "Not really besides the odd Kalona or Skinwalker. These lands are pretty calm. Those two breeds have to be the most dangerous and for good reason, I normally just stay away from them. If the snow is just ready in the winter time you may be able to cause an avalanche of some sort..Though that is dangerous. I really would just before to surf the waves of the ocean. It's much safer after all." Akh nodded slightly. "There are risks you can take for fun, and then there are risks that could kill you. It's best ot pick the safer of the two sometimes."

"Yeah...skinwalkers..." she thought back to her own all too recent encounter with fang face. "You're right, best to avoid those ones. But I'm not so sure about your theory on safety. All too often you don't quite realize just How dangerous something is until you're past the point of no return..."

The male smiled. "I guess I'm a bit over cautious since I do have to get home by the end of the night to help my mother and father. I have fun in my own ways but I do know my own limits. I suppose it is just trial and error. We all have to learn from our mistakes after all."

"My friends would say that's something I need to work on," Sonja admitted. "They think I don't recognize my own limits...but I'm really more interested in pushing them. But I do try to learn from my own mistakes...I just take a little while to learn somedays."

Akh chuckled lightly before moving over to Sonja and bumping her with his nose playfully. "I'm sure with such an intelligent mare as yourself it doesn't take that long." The stallion raised a brow. "Though i have seemed to have learned a lot about you despite you being the one asking the questions." Akh teasingly grinned to her. It had been awhile since Akh talked to anyone outside of his family. Might as well make it fun.

The stallion had to stop and think about this one. He could ask anything but what should he ask? He had learned quiet a bit from her last question to him so what should be said? "....Any boyfriends I should be worried about?"

Akh chuckled. "I'm sure he wouldn't be happy if he heard you say that first part.. .I haven't seen my sister much. I do hope she is ok. Tjhough she might be the same as my father..He's ummm...A flirt...I have yet to understand why he settled down though I suppose my mother was just that special to him. Didn't want to let her slip away."

"Until something happens...I can see where your friend is coming from, he just doesn't want to see you get hurt. I can see both sides of the view but she's a grown mare and I hope she can take care of herself. Though, I hope nothing ever happens. I don't know what I would do if she was hurt." "You spend all your time trying not to get hurt and you end up not living at all," she said softly. "It's good though," she added quickly. "That you trust her. Most days I wish Aydan would have a little more faith in me, it's not like I've given him any reason not to...aside from that time in the swamp with the skinwalker....and when I brought the lion cub home...and..." she stopped and grinned. "Um, never mind...maybe his worrying isn't completely unjustifiable, but it's not like I go Looking for trouble!"

Akh thought for a moment before smiling and giving Sonja a small nuzzle. "You have a good heart, I can see that. Sometimes trouble just follows us." The stallion stopped to think once again. "Here." Akh bent his head over and gently nudged the lotus flower off from behind his ear. "I have a secert place where I get these. They are important to my family line since we are mostly based on mythology. The lotus is a symbol of the sun, how issinks into the water at night then rises back up in the morning. They are offered to the gods and are viewed as sacred...Weither you believe in what I'm saying is not important but I think it would do yo some good...Think of it as a good luck charm sorta item. Just, keep it with you." Akh nosed the flower over to Sonja, hoping she'd get what he was saying.
