Lesedi yawned, feeling somewhat lethargic. It was a warm afternoon and he was feeling the effect of the sudden temperature even from his comfortable spot in the shade. The spotted cub rolled on his back and offered his belly to the sky, lazily watched the sunlight peeking in the branches above. An annoying fly insisted on hovering over his head and landing on his face and pretty soon the exasperated cub was snapping and pedaling at the air, doing his best to keep the stubborn insect away… well, the best he could without getting up, that is.
“Go away.” Frustrated by the fly’s insistence, the young cub growled.

I'tidal peeked over from her hiding spot, seeing her brother fidgeting and flailing about. She didn't know if she should actually pounce onto her brother like she had planned earlier, before when he wasn't moving so much, or just bound over to him as casual as she could for a little cub. She wondered why he was moving around so much for such a hot day.
Deciding to go with her second idea, she skipped over to Lesedi, humming a small tune to herself the best she could, trying to act natural. "What're you doin', Sedi?" she asked innocently, trying to hold back her giggles.

Lesedi growled again, still fighting the annoying insect that insisted on making noise around his head almost as if trying to get him to move. The cub, however, wouldn’t budge. This was his spot, he had claimed it at least for now and he felt comfortable here. Lesedi wasn’t about to leave just because of one bold irritating bug. “I’m trying to nap but this stupid fly won’t leave me alone.” He said between his teeth, looking at the upside-down shape of his sister. “You look funny upside down.” Her markings looked funny this way. Like bubbles right under the water's surface.

I'tidal crouched down low, wanting to help her brother get this bothersome fly away. She pounced at the insect, landing on her brother in the process as she too starting to bat at the bug. "I'll help you get rid of it!" she said, seeing that it was staring to retreat away into the sky.
"You look funny too." she said, grinning at her brother, "You're all dusty." she wrinkled her nose at him.

The orange cub watched the fly disappear with a grin at first but huffed under the weight of his sister when I'tidal knocked the air out of his lungs. He groaned watching the crown of light behind his sister's head.
“You’re heavy! Get off!” he tried to push her off gently but didn’t move from his spot and his paws ended up stroking her face more than actually trying to forcefully kicking her away. “But thanks. That thing was really bugging me.” Well, it was a bug. It made sense that it would bug everyone around it. “What were you doing?”

The cub giggled, purring as her brother somewhat stroked her face. She rolled off him, not wanting to flatten him or anything with her weight. I'tidal laid by his side, and giggled again, "Maybe he wanted to be your friend. Maybe that's why he was bothering you." she said, nodding as much as one could when lying on the ground.
"...I...was hunting...?" she said, trying to be as secretive as she could, not wanting to tell Sedi that she was trying to hunt him.

“Pff! Bugs can’t be friends! They’re noisy and sometimes they sting.” The cub scowled as rolled into his belly and looked up, thinking that his sister had been hunting the annoying insect. “You missed it.”
Unaware of his mistake, the cub smirked and his tone became a tease. “I thought girls were supposed to be the better hunters. You’re gonna have to ask mom for a few lessons.”
He laughed and pawed a little harder at I’tidal. It was okay, she was tough (and a little too close to his spot so she deserved it).
