It hadn't been long since news came through about police activity in the crucial Rocket outpost located in Camphoreon. Things were bad. The outpost, being located in a port city, was one of HQ's biggest sources of supplies. The situation needed to be properly assessed.

Lucere'd taken little time assembling a team of capable Agents. No grab bag of random people from the cafeteria this time. Speaking of which, Lore was mysteriously absent from this mission. He hadn't really had any involvement in any official things since that mission. Nobody was really sure why, considering it went well.

In any case, today's mission found TRP, Nyx, Faleen, Claire, Aila and Aulus crammed into a helicopter heading east.

"I want everyone to remember, we're going to the outpost only to investigate the situation. We're not there to take action." TRP instructed as the 'copter neared the northern tip of the Sky Peak mountain range. Once out of the desert, the view of the towering rock faces was impressive.

"We're a small group with the simple goal of getting in and getting out. Is everyone clear?"

He felt... kind of outranked. He was the only grunt here; everyone else was Agent or better. He could only assume that he'd been brought along because of his combat skills. Excitement bubbled in the pit of his stomach, mingled with apprehension. He wasn't scared (much), but he was worried about making an arse of himself when he'd only just been promoted, and that went double given that Claire was on the mission too...

The views out of the helicopters were stunning. He wished he had his camera. It probably wasn't the time to be thinking of that, but so long as he didn't voice it he supposed it didn't matter.

As the elite agent clarified the mission objectives, Aulus nodded. "Clear," he said aloud, determined not to be seen and not heard just because he was a lowly grunt... He was the only man too. He really must be here to provide brute force if necessary. TRP had said they weren't going there in order to take action, but if the action came to them it would have to be dealt with. Pokemon would be the first line of defence of course, but there was certainly no harm in having somebody along who could flatten the enemy poekmon's trainers.

This was certainly the smallest team she had been a part of for a mission, the reasons made sense though, from what TRP just explained, they were not there to steal something, not there to catch a legendary, just to investigate.
"Yes ma'am" She The dark haired grunt confirmed when the Elite TRP asked if they understood

Faleen recognized everyone here, could name them by name even if she didn't know them very well,
The only one she could say she knew more personally, was Agent Nyx.

This was Faleen's first mission as an Agent, and she wore the uniform to match the other females in the helicopter, and the single male Grunt, Aulus, he had been promoted since she last spoke with him.
The team she had chose to come with her, her five most competent pokemon sat on the strap at her thigh.

"Clear." It sounded simple, of course, but that didn't mean it would be. Any number of things could happen while they were in there to complicate matters, but they'd cross those bridges if they came to them. She folded her arms over her chest with an inaudible sigh before her violet eyes slid down to inspect her new uniform. Her promotion roughly a week ago had been a (very) pleasant surprise, though recent personal matters had considerably dulled any excitement she might've had from the promotion and getting her own room and bathroom. None of that mattered for now, though, as she turned her gaze out the opposite window. Right now, the only thing that mattered was to investigate the status of the outpost - maybe they wanted to salvage it, or see if they could possibly move things to another part of the city for a new outpost or something - and get out. Nothing was ever that simple though.

Getting in and getting out, Aila would argue, was her specialty, especially when she was already familiar with the territory - and the outpost and surrounding city definitely fell under that adjective. The fact that the outpost had been discovered at all was slightly dismaying, though, and she would have been lying to say she felt no anxiety over the situation. Will's - or Lance's - betrayal had left a bitter taste, and she couldn't help the thought that current events were a precipitate of the turncoat's reveal.

These thoughts, of course, were inconsequential to the current objective. Get in, get out. Her specialty. "Yes, ma'am." Were Aila aware of Claire's musings, she would have concurred in a heartbeat. Simplicity was a myth.

"Yes, Ma'am." Nyx nodded from her seat in the helicopter, strapped in safely next to Faleen and another rocket. The white-haired scientist had neglected to notice, even as they were boarding the air-born vehicle, the familiar and scared face of Aulus--who, last she heard, was not even in Team Rocket. She was rather oblivious, focused more on how much she hated helicopter rides; They were even more potentially deadly than car rides.

Hopefully they'd get to where they were going soon.

As the helicopter proceeded through the scenic tip of the mountain range, turbulence started up, caused by the strong updrafts.

"Everybody hold on, it could be a little rough until we get on the other side of these mountains." the Rocket flying the 'copter instructed. Just then there was a loud noise on one side of the vehicle. It resulted in the 'coptor jolting violently.

"What the hell??" The Rocket yelped as he struggled to regain control.

"Did you hit something?"

"No! Something hit us!"

TRP frowned and abandoned her seat, taking hold of a handle mounted to the ceiling as she peered out a window. ".....s**t."

"What is it?"

"..a garchomp."

"Really?"

".....sort of." The annoyed tone in TRP's voice was fairly obvious. Outside, off to the right, tailing the helicopter was a giant metal garchomp-shaped jet with a large G on the star shape at its tip.

"..anyone with small pokémon that can fire long range attacks, get them out. Try to keep this thing steady.. we don't need anyone falling out. Everyone stay in here.. I don't want any Rockets or their flying pokémon getting shot out of the sky." With a loud click, she unlatched the door and jumped back as it slid open, offering a good view of their pursuers.

Claire nearly fell off her seat when the helicopter jolted - thankfully she spared herself that humiliation - and immediately sat up straight to try and get a better view of what the hell was going on.

A giant mechanical Garchomp. Perfect. And there was only one explanation she could think of for why it was after them.

Cursing under her breath, she pulled two pokeballs from her belt, releasing Zeus and Alexina. As the pair of eyes looked at her for instruction, she pointed to the giant metal Garchomp after them. "Shoot it out of the sky." She did not sound pleased in the slightest.

They immediately moved towards the door to get a good aim at their target, the Pikachu's cheeks sparking as the striped Glaceon loosed an Ice Beam right before Zeus added a Thunderbolt headed straight for the flying Garchomp.

As the helicopter jerked, Aulus grabbed at a handhold to steady himself. Galactic? Here? "Sod a dog," the grunt muttered under his breath, reaching to his belt to retrieve Char's pokeball and let the Charmeleon out; he wasn't tiny but he was still pretty small. "Hold on," he instructed as the fire type appeared, "and open fire with Dragon Rage on that thing over there, understood?"

As the Charmeleon nodded and loosed the first jet of twisting flame at the pokemon-shaped flying machine, Aulus cast around to see what everyone else was doing... And abruptly realised what had been nagging at him since they'd been gathered together. "Emma?" he blinked at Nyx; "Since when are you?... Nevermind. Later." For now, apparently, they had a gigantic flying metal Garchomp-plane to deal with. Well, he had kept telling himself life would get more interesting once he was promoted. Careful what you wished for when you were a very long way off the ground.

Turbulence wasn't a problem, it was actually quite fun in Faleen's opinion.
She leaned her head back, glancing over at Nyx after a moment, noticing now nervous the Agent looked, this didn't surprise her at all, the smaller women hated this kind of transportation.

She opened her mouth to say something to the Agent, when there was a sudden violent jerk against the helicopter that was NOT normal.
"Woh... okay." She frowned glancing around to look out of the nearest window to try and see what could have caused that.
She caught a glimpse of something else sharing the sky with them.
It didn't take more of a glimpse at the structure for Faleen to know just who that machine belongs to.

The exchange between TRP and the pilot summed up the situation.
And at the order, a dusk ball was grabbed up from her leg, and she called out her Absol.
"Ice beam" She told her pokemon, pointing out to the jet.
as Absol stepped away from her to face the opening, opening his mouth to ready and fire and ice beam, Faleen grabbed onto his tail to make sure he didn't fall out. right as a freezing white beam shot out, aimed for the jet.

There was a startled yelp from the seat containing Nyx when the helicopter jerked around suddenly and excessively. Potential aerial combat maneuvers were not going to help make her any less unhappy about being in a helicopter--in fact, it would probably result in the opposite.

Nyx was barely able to curb her unenthusiasm long enough to release one of the pokemon from her belt and issue a command for the resulting Mew to "Ice Beam that- other- oh my god, I'm going to die! Helicopter!" There was little chance that she'd consciously noticed Aulus say her fake name.

As if the situation weren't bothersome enough, now they were being attacked by a giant, metal, flying Garchomp. Aila's first thought in response to the situation was 'why?' Not why it was tailing them, now attacking them (the small agent stumbled from her seat but managed to right herself), but why in, a just world ruled by such things as logic and physics, such a monstrosity existed. There was little time to evaluate this question, though. She had orders, and she had a means to fulfill those orders. With a pair of flashes indicating her participation in the fray, a Mismagius and a Pidgeotto appeared at her side. Through the opened hatch, Aila gestured to the pursuers:

"Revenant, Psybeam. Gui, Ouragan." The foreign word requested a Twister in a language the flying-type could understand, and the two pokemon gave brief cries of acknowledgment before acting on their respective commands.

One by one the attacks hit. The first ice beam and thunderbolt connected. The thunderbolt discharged uselessly off the jet. The ice bream seemed to be mostly absorbed, only freezing a small patch of the metal. This frozen patch was melted a few moments later with a flame thrower. And then re-frozen with two more ice beams. The psybeam and twister did about as much damage, glancing uselessly off the plated hull.

As the jet drew closer the design was easier to make out. Unfortunately, it was designed quite well. Whatever plating was covering the exterior seemed to be responsible for the attacks glancing off, keeping the Galactics safely protected inside. Small windows that looked a bit like port holes lined the sides of the jet, allowing those within to fire pokémon attacks while protected.

Deimos could be seen at the controls, grinning malevolently at the rockets. Tethys and Orion stood nearby, directing attacks. Deimos waved and pressed a button. A comically massive loudspeaker lowered down where the landing gear should probably be and Deimos spoke. His voice exploded from the speaker with enough volume to be heard over the various engines, explosions and wind.

"Team Rocket! We meet again!!"

"...you've got to be kidding me..." TRP muttered.

"You look surprised to see me! You shouldn't be. Last we met you stole things that belong to me, and I'm afraid that just isn't going to fly." He turned a grin on Tethys, no doubt expecting praise for what he thought was a clever play on words.

Tethys stared out the window, temporarily deaf.

Deimos continued to stare at her a short while waiting for a response. When one didn't come he shrugged and turned his smirk back on the Rocket helicopter. "I'm afraid you seem to be outmatched this time. I suppose that's what happens when you sneak up on someone unprepared. I can thank you for the inspiration." He turned his attention to his gliscor, which was perched at one of the port holes, "Phillip. Stone Edge."

Moments later two sharpened chunks of rock flew from the jet. The unmistakable sound of punctured metal echoed through the 'copter.

Orion twitched slightly at the blaring loudspeaker, and glanced towards Tethys with a wry grin. "EH?! Whaddya say boss? Tethys' ain't wearin' a bra?!"

A swift backhand caught him across the chest.

"OW! Hey you're all better!" Still grinning like a maniac, Orion then leaned over to shout towards one of his Pokemon, a Milotic. "Hydro Pump 'em baby!" A powerful burst of water was then launched, intending to douse the Rockets that were trying to fight back.

"s**t! s**t!!" The Rocket at the controls shouted.

"What did he hit??"

"The gas tanks! I've got to put it down, we're going to crash!"

Tensing, TRP scanned the mountainous landscape ahead. It was a field of jagged peaks and steep valleys. "There!" She shouted, pointing at a dark spot amongst the rock, "Can you get us in that cave? He can't follow us in there."

"I'll do my best.." The Rocket winced. The helicopter pitched forward as it zoomed ahead of the Galactic jet, hurtling for the gaping cave entrance. Strong winds and more attacks made for a rough ride, tossing about anyone not strapped in or holding on to something.

"Brace yourselves!!" He shouted as the cave drew closer. They passed through moments before smashing into the ground. For a moment it felt like the 'copter might roll, but fortunately it managed to stay upright as it skidded across the cave floor. The sound of tearing metal and snapping propeller blades was deafening.

At last, after what seemed like too long, they came to a stop.

She wasn't sure how, but at some point in all the maddness TRP'd managed to latch onto a chair and keep from hitting her head on anything. "...is everyone alright?"

Aaand their attacks didn't do a damned thing. Claire scowled as two attacks hit the helicopter - thankfully she was holding onto the seat to keep from falling - and in the ensuing conversation about gas tanks and similarly negative things she sighed frustratedly before plopping back down in her seat. She quickly secured her seat belt - it wouldn't be pretty, after all - before recalling both Zeus and Alexina back into their pokeballs.

The sound of metal grinding into rock was horrible and made her ears ring loudly, thus she only managed to catch the tail-end of TRP's question. Well, she was in one piece, all her pokeballs were still there, and besides a massive headache and the slowly subsiding ringing in her ears, she seemed to be alright. Ugh, she knew it. Nothing was ever simple. Arceus-be-damned. Now what were they supposed to do? It didn't help that this was the smallest mission she'd gone on before. s**t.

Claire was not pleased at all.

...So that was Deimos? "What a posing poofter," Aulus growled as Galactic's leader crowed at them, "if I was over there I'd rip that speaker off the plane and shove it up his arse." There was no time for further mutterings of violence, however; the world around him jerked violently as Diemos' pokemon slammed into the helicopter. While he was sitting down and (relatively) safe, Char was standing in a very precarious position and Aulus grabbed at his pokeball to return the flame pokemon before he could be thrown out. Just as he clipped the ball back to his belt the second attack hit home and they started to plunge downward.

Turning to Claire, Aulus scowled. "Excitement she tells me," he muttered as he braced himself, "never a dull moment she says. Well, you certainly weren't lying." And then they hit the ground. The impact was hardly the most pleasant thing that had ever happened to him; as the scraped along the ground he suddenly found himself recalling a car crash he'd been in when he was about ten. A few terrifying moments of screaming metal, and then dead silence in which moments stretched into hours. As his perception of time snapped back into place the scarred man determined that now, as then, he was mildly scratched and rattled at worst.

"I'm fine," he replied to TRP's question, rolling his neck and shoulders and flexing his limbs to double check. Yes, everything seemed to work; he felt kind of disoriented but that would probably pass before long. He hoped so anyway, he really didn't want to look like an idiot in front of Cl... in front of the elite agent. Unbuckling his seatbelt and grabbing his staff from where it had been secured, the muscular young man got cautiously to his feet. "This thing's not going to blow up is it?" he asked after a moment, having perhaps seen one too many action movies over the course of his life.
