Since I'm still drowsy I'll just do this in bullet form:
-We can have a non-instance area of G-corp that has a lot of spawns that spawns back real fast, and unlike other areas, may not need to be cleared to enter the deeper instanced level of G-corp since the spawns are too fast -To avoid the non-instanced part being farmable, the spawns may only give only a few drops of gold, or/and include high-level brutes that can 1-hit even fully buffed players -New zOMG spawns such as grunnies, and g-virus fully mutates zombies for the area -The instance would contain traps that can separate us from our crewmates (ei Some test tubes that suddenly pop out and transfer us to the other side) and some of these "traps" may be mandatory, such as keeping the power up for the elevator since mobs will arrive there and be able to turn down the power so you and someone else may need to stay there to guard the switches until the elevator can have enough power to elevate, although, it doesn't go back to you so you'll need to find the alternative route that can only be accessed once the elevator is used. -After beating the boss, we may suddenly then hear a familiar voice, a message from Johnny K. Gambino
Thoughts?

Consider this a vote of approval. I'd like to see some of these things in action.
For the non-instanced parts, perhaps your roaming brute could function in the style of a Spirit Vase. The brute will come through the area periodically and anyone it sees is mercilessly attacked. Fight it if you think you can, though the rewards won't be worth the time (other than the "WE DID IT!" factor). Or run. Or die. Obviously, to prevent the abuse of Reflection, the brute has some "armor-break" attack which will clear the target of one or more armor buffs.
Grunny Hall Monitor - A giant, machine gun toting mech, piloted by a Grunny. "Zombie guards! Seize him!" (Could not resist quoting that line) Labtech 69 - Sexy female boss labtech. Male avatars are extremely vulnerable to her CC attacks.
Elevator trap sounds fun. Buff up, hit the power switch, and half your team enters the elevator. They get to sit and wait (or fend off monsters dropping in from the roof hatch) until the elevator gets to the top. The other half of the team stays below and fights off monsters trying to deactivate the elevator. If the switch turns off, you get a message like "Elevator power disabled, returning to ground level." -- New thought: Elevator goes DOWN. Monsters will go for both the power switch AND the doors. Anything that gets through the doors will jump onto the elevator below and attack the elevator team. The switch team has to prioritize protecting the power switch.
Aaanyway... Once the elevator reaches its destination, another switch can be hit, either returning the elevator to the rest of your team (And forcing the same procedure), or possibly open the doors to a monster-infested stairwell. I definitely like the potential of your idea.
Hm... give the place a double-instance, perhaps? Go to the top floor on a quest and recover some secret key. Finishing this quest will make the basement labs accessible. The ground floor may be the non-instanced area. A lobby, if you will, allowing access to both the upper and lower levels.

That sounds nice! O: Labtech 69, eh? x3 Oh yeah, I forgot to add(or have I?) that maybe certain types of zombies can infect us as well, with these infections acting as debuffs, and when they're gone(uncured gone) or if we're dazed maybe they'd make things spawn from us too. Too avoid this we may actually need some sort of cure as well, including the power-up cure, or cures that are found in the Laboratory.

Thard_Verad Labtech 69 - Sexy female boss labtech. Male avatars are extremely vulnerable to her CC attacks. That hardly seems fair. Well, unless you remember to include studly Labtech 96. The ladies just can't resist him. sweatdrop
The game could select between the two based on the number of males/females in your Crew, either strictly targetting the larger group, or having the number of a given gender increase the likelihood (4/6 male crew members means a 66% chance of getting Labtech 69, and a 33% chance of Labtech 96). Either way, it encourages players to play together, and it factors in gender in an interesting new way... 3nodding

It could also be a tag-team fight? (Perhaps on Easy or Normal, you fight one of them, on Hard or Extreme you fight both) - Edit: Maybe like this? - Easy: Fight the one that targets the minority (or the randomizer favors the minority) Normal: Fight the one that targets the majority (or blah blah blah...) Hard: Fight both as a tag-team Extreme: Fight both simultaneously And of course, if you have enough willpower, you can better resist the Labtechs' advances. It won't be any guarantee, but at least you won't be completely locked down. Just beware of mid-battle Willpower debuffs!

Quint gave me a new idea. What if there were a Boss-Rush type of area in the basement? Some G-Corp system that throws various powered-up incarnations of Ch.1 bosses at the players, with the possible exception of Sealab X (Or just the body and arms if it does appear).

O: Okay... how about these? - General - Shovel Slash - An attack with both AoE and DoT Portobello Powder - Does random things to affected players - OMGWTF - Transform! - Becomes the zOMG! when near-death. - Kat's Doll - Porcelain Glaze - From my "Extreme" thread, grants her armor. Could provide much stronger armor here. - She Wolf - Chilling Howl - Also from the other thread, inflicts Fear on players. Devour - Eats one player. They're out of commission for a few seconds, losing HP and restoring hers. - Papa Saw - Splinter Shot - Sprays wood fragments to Debuff and/or DoT players - Duneslam - Siege Mode - Temporarily transforms into an imobile form, gaining greatly improved defense (Armor). Also uses anti-siege attacks if you get close. - Stone Coatl - Spirit Pyres - Minions in the fight will attempt to light the flames. Each one lit grants Coatl more armor. (Limit 2?) - Sealab X Body/Arms - Grip - Arms will pick up players, imobilizing them. A missile shot soon follows. Body Blast v2 - Sleep and multiple debuffs. (Dodge and Will, perhaps)

An additional idea:
Labtechs that actually help us this time around, and needs around assistance.
These are G-corp labtechs though who are still loyal to Gambino, or something.
They are NPCs that need our helping, and when helped would help us through some of the security locks of the instance(yep locked doors we can't open ourselves) and some would need assistance for just helping them get out of the building.
Opinions?

*Smacks forehead* It's so obvious, why didn't we think of it sooner?! Of course there are still Gambino loyalists. Not all of his employees defected to X's side, right?

Yep. rofl The only one labtech we know that did defect to X's side is Labtech 123. :3 We don't even know if the other Nexus Labtechs ever worked for Gambino. Of course, some traitor labtechs won't be a bad idea. ;3

In his own words, X admits to gathering loyal subordinates from G-Corp prior to the Fission Event. When he began NeXuS, he collected his followers, including 123.
