o-o I think it's...sad. Why would someone use the innocence of children to portray a disaster?

Cherry Ki o-o I think it's...sad. Why would someone use the innocence of children to portray a disaster? well I believe it's to add weight to how horrific the disasters were..... or the importance of them.... though i will admit i laughed a little at the one portraying kim jung-il

We already realize that it was a terrible occurance, and the people jumping out just digusts me to no extent. Yet I will say one thing, It's captured our attention.

I'll admit myself that if i didn't visit hulu now and again or wasn't such a big fan of manga I most likely would have forgotten all about the earthquake a couple months ago.

I admit I don't think of 9/11 as much as I should since i had no personal loss to it's occurance. Yet this has remided me and brought back to my attention in such a way that I may think of it more often...I find it that disturbing.

I also think it brings attention to parents and how they tell children about what these events mean. There are some parents who don't tell the children and so the children are not as emotionally attach to the weight of such things. I feel that we need to educate children so they understand that history can happen again.

But educating our children at that age makes them immune to the feeling of it. At that time all they can comprehend is, "A big disaster against our country." And I know because i was a young child when this occured. I couldn't understand why such mean people existed. I beleive that if I was taught the finer details I wouldn't get it or i would be forced to understand much too early. That was time to be a kid, and a kid doesn't belong in stuff like this.

True there is that thought. At the same time children are rather smart and they'll ask questions to understand the impact. It's better than trying to sweep it under the rug.
Though us unlike young children lived through the event and watched as it played out right before our eyes. We knew what was happening when we saw it. I'm sure your parents took time to talk to you about it that evening.

Brings to mind my quote for today. "History repeats itself because no one listened the first time."

Truth be told I can't remember...I'm sure my father talked to me about it at some point...but I was six, and at the time I wanted to know why my cartoons weren't on. @delv: good quote.

Most definately a creep. Who does that? It's just a bit freaky to take a picture like that. While I think genius can be in many different forms, and sometimes misunderstood, there is a limit.
