Bala blinked as she stepped outside of her tiny apartment complex. She didn't really expect to go outside today except that she was low on food. She didn't want to go out and get any food today. She didn't feel like roaming the narrow aisles of the local market and risking bumping into any humans (or pokehumans). There was the Reversed restaurant that was nearby but she wasn't really sure if she wanted to eat there today. She winced as she heard her stomach rumbled quietly. 'I guess I should get something to eat sometime today,' she thought to herself.
Sighing she shook her head as she hurried down the narrow walkway towards the Reversed shop. Hesitating slightly, she pulled her wallet out of her back pocket and then checked to see if she had enough money for a bowl of soup before entering the restaurant. She glanced around the shop for a few moments before choosing a table near the back of the room. Closing her eyes briefly, she leaned her chair back so that only two legs of it were on the ground and the other two were in the air. Pleased with her talent, she smirked to herself.

A well muscled young woman jumped over the connecting part of the bridge and the regular road to the city, stopping where she landed to catch her breath. It was a good workout, running the full length of the Skyarrow Bridge. She didn't always have time to do it, but when she did, she took full advantage of it. Always running the length of it once, taking a break in the city, and running the length of it back.
Shielding her reddish eyes with one arm, Rosie looked upwards. The sun blazed down on her, making her Pokemon ability flare up. Not being a Pokemon anymore, she found it just increased her pace. Even just walking was done at a quicker pace. It was really quite convinient for the impatient Bulbasaur.
Speaking of getting things done, it was about time to continue. Giving her head a shake that sent a spray of sweat showering around her, the teenager picked her pace back up. She wanted something cool for that long run. Her ability always tired herself out faster than on a cloudy day. Now, where should she go today?
A number of minutes later, Rosie walked through the doors to the ever familiar soup shop. It always brought back memories. Even if she couldn't remember the first time she was in here. She was only an egg, after all.
Getting what she wanted from the working employee at the counter, the Bulbasaur girl turned around with the drink to her lips. Pretty deserted today, it seemed. That suited her well. When her eyes landed on the only other person there, she lowered the pop can just enough to greet the stranger.
"Hello." May as well be friendly while she was here.

Bala ignored the jingling of the bell that hung over the shop's door. She knew that many people entered the shop during the daytime hours. She didn't bother to see who it was. If the person, or pokehuman, was in a hurry they will be in an out of the shop before she would even register that they had been there in the first place. She was still hungry, though she wanted to wait for the person, or pokehuman, to leave before she approached the front counter to get something to eat.
She winced slightly as she strained her ears to hear if the current customer had left. She hadn't heard the bell again so that must mean that whoever was in the shop with her wasn't in that big of a hurry to leave. She closed her eyes briefly only to open them up as she heard a voice say 'hello' to hear. She half-turned her body around to see another pokehuman, a half-grown woman from the looks of it. She eyed the soda that the bulbasaur femme held in her hand and winced. Soda was something that she hated to drink. It dehydrated her too quickly. She caught the eyes of the other woman, her bright red eyes, before she turned her gaze down at the ground.
"Hello," she said, her voice carrying only to the other woman. She suddenly felt very shy at that very moment. Shifting her body, she briefly waved her hand towards the empty chair beside her, wondering if the other woman would accept the invitation to sit beside her. A slight blush appeared on her cheeks and she shook her head. She mustn't fall in love...at least not yet.

It was to the Gengar's luck that Rosie hadn't any intentions of returning home right after getting something to drink. She needed to give her body time to rest after that long run. Even one as fit as her couldn't just keep going for hours.
So she did sit, casting the other woman as friendly a smile as she could manage. Living out in the woods with the troop, she didn't often get to meet with new people. At least, not if she could help it. Outgoing she may be, but Rosie wasn't exactly a huge people person. She had trouble getting to know others and letting her paranoia about how long they'll stay around go away long enough to get to know them.
Thus, the young Bulbasaur wasn't very good at coming up with conversation. When she met with people, she tended to leave that to Feuer.
Placing the can on the table in front of her, she held it with both hands, looking down at it in silence while she thought of something. Wait...Introductions were always a good start.
"I don't think we've met," she started, moving her reddish eyes upwards at the other. The blush went mostly unnoticed in Rosie's struggle for conversation. "At least, not enough for names. I'm Rosie."

Bala shifted her weight in the chair as she watched the Bulbasaur pokehuman take the offer she gave to sit down in front of her in the empty chair. She turned her gaze down at the table, her golden eyes glowing dimmer than usual.
She glanced up at the other woman and noticed a smile on the other's lips. She dared a small smile back before turning her gaze down at the table. 'What should I say?,' she thought to herself. She was never really good at keeping a conversation going (or starting one, either). It seemed like that was the case with the other woman because the silence between them grew slightly unbearable between them.
It was Rosie who broke the ice between them and Bala was happy for that. She wasn't good at conversation starters. The blush faded from her cheeks and she dared to look up at Rosie's face. She looked too young for her to date...at least for now. "I don't get out of my work or home that often," she admitted in an honest tone of voice. 'Alright, calm down. You can do this,' she told herself sternly. 'Just...attempt to keep the conversation going and you'll do fine.' She took a deep breath and released it slowly. "I'm Bala." She flashed Rosie a smile and hoped that the other woman would have something else to talk about or else this conversation would be over before it even started.

The Bulbasaur was feeling the uncomfortable silence just the same as the other. She continued looking down at her can of pop. The table. The few people at the tables and at the counter. The Persian didn't seem to be in today. Or if he was, he was in the back. Rosie didn't know what it took to keep a restaurant going. Or what the cooks did in the back besides prepare the food. Nor did she really care to know.
She tried to imagine what it would be like if Feuer had been around. What he would have said in this quiet situation. It wasn't helping her any to think of something to say.
The teenager thought she'd start with being honest.
"Sorry for the...Silence," she finally said, still looking down at the drink in her hand. Admitting it out loud made her feel uncomfortable. But what was she to say? "I don't talk to many outside my Papa." It never occurred to her at the time a Pokehuman making mention of family members was a bit...Strange. They shouldn't have been around long enough for new generations to be made. If they could reproduce normally, that is.
