The rain was falling heavily that night, a crimson-clad girl running for her life through the back alleys of Destiny City. She clutched at her shoulder while looking above and around her, running from some cackling, evil thing. Kallichore knew she found a rival in the spear-wielding Nega, but the attack was unprovoked, just like last time. It was like the captain was stalking the newbie senshi, and didn't give the girl a chance to fire off her attack this time. She pierced the senshi's shoulder with the blade of her spear and the senshi took off running down the street to get away. The rain bogged her down, as did her heels, but that did not stop her. She had to run. She had to survive.
The library was not too far from here, but how could Kallichore escape without putting others in danger? She had to do something about the wound she was given, though. She needed more training and kicked herself for having been caught by her nemesis again. She had no other choice. She did sense someone else out there, but couldn't spare the time to really get a good look at them. Turning a sharp corner, Kallichore burst through the doors and ran behind the nearest desk, slamming her back into it. Her breathing was heavy and sweat dripped on her brow, but the biggest concern was the gash in her shoulder. Her first thought was to power down and hide somewhere so the captain couldn't find her.
A few moments of blissful silence greeted her as her ears were glued to the door for the sound of entry, one hand holding her shoulder in pain.

Tony had no idea that someone was nearby the library, running for their life. He didn't know of anyone named Painite, though he had met her before and knew her well enough, or Kallichore. Once again, he was spending his night oblivious to the perils all around him.
The library was closed up, for the most part, save the front doors. He was still inside, but the 'closed' sign on the door often kept people out until he was ready to go. He had a little computer work left to do, catching up on some account checks. Nothing strenuous, though not quite mind numbing enough that he could just space out while doing it.
He nearly jumped out of his skin when the doors were suddenly thrown open. He might not have succeeded in that, but he certainly fell out of his chair. He slammed his back into the floor, groaning loudly, but scrambling to his feet. Dogby had already taken the liberty of skittering into the back room, as far away from what scared her as possible. The librarian, though, had the opposite instinct.
He moved toward the figure that had burst into the silence of the library, stumbling as he went since he left his cane at the desk. He saw it was a senshi immediately and his gears began to grind. Now he knew it was someone he needed to help, wanted to help, and he reacted without fear or hesitance. Just concern.
Okay, maybe a little bit of fear.
"A-are you okay?" he asked, seeing that she was soaked to the bone and gripping her arm. He saw the blood running down it. "Oh! You're hurt! Are you running? Q-quickly, into the back room," he said. It was the best place he could think to hide her.
He didn't quite realize that Nega's could hunt by sensing power signatures. Fortunately, outside, the Nega Captain was finding herself distracted in her own right.

Kallichore was startled to see someone else in the library at this hour but... oh yes, she recognized this man! Anthony? Something like that, if she remembered the name on the desk correctly. But she couldn't seem like she knew him, not when he had just met Sailor Kallichore. She wasn't Krista anymore. She tried to block all familiarity from her interaction with him, but the number one priority shifted from her injury to a civilian's safety. Indeed, that was most important right now. When he made a move towards her, she lifted one red-gloved hand.
"I'll be fine, but we need to hide you. If she comes barging in here... I would do my best to defend you." she explained sternly, gingerly rising to a standing position while keeping an eye on the door. She knew she could be hunted through her power signature, but if the spear wielding Nega was anywhere nearby, why wasn't she coming in? Why wasn't she cackling all around the building?
Did she leave?
Kallichore shook her head. It didn't matter - what needed to happen was to keep this civilian safe. Her shoulder ached and some blood dripped onto the floor. Her fuku was the same color, so whether or not it too was soaked in blood was anyone's guess. Sighing, her hand returned to her shoulder. "You're right though... I can't very well defend someone if I can't lift my arm very well... Where is this back room of yours?" The senshi was ready, willing and able to follow Tony wherever he happened to direct her.

Tony shook his head, moving to her and supporting her just in case she needed it as she got up. He looked toward the doors again, imagining some evil doer bursting through them at any moment, but it didn't come. Whatever the cause of that he didn't care, he was too focused on the bleeding Senshi at the moment.
"Come on, to the back room," he said carefully, fear and tension in his tone. He was already switched from 'welcome to the library' to 'I'll defend you' mode. Instincts, despite the fact that, of any of the possible fighters shoulder the Negaverse soldier arrive, he was the least useful.
He helped her into the back room, walking with her as he led the way. He helped her to one of the chairs at the table, where the workers of the library, at least the first and second floors, took their breaks. He hurried to the cabinet then, grabbing the first aid kit, then slipped out of the room hurriedly, like a spy thinking he was going to be fired on the moment he stepped out from behind the door, and darted to another office. There was a blanket on the sofa in there and he grabbed if before darting back to the back room.
No sign of any attackers, though.
Shutting and locking the door, like that would keep them safe, he moved to the senshi and wrapped the blanket around her rain soaked shoulders. Taking a breath, he looked at her, worried as he carefully examined her arm. He was no doctor, and only knew very simple, basic things about caring for injuries. Mostly picked up from his own trips to the hospital.
"Are you okay?" he asked quietly, "what happened? Is someone chasing you?" Mostly the same questions from before, but his mind was doing flips.

She was truly grateful for the opportunity to be helped, that much was for certain. But Kallichore's priorities were not the same as the librarian's. While she was concerned for his safety, he was concerned for hers, as evidenced by the fact that he found a blanket and first aid kit just to help her. She shivered a bit, but thankfully took the blanket and tried to dry herself off, especially her gray hair. It looked like Mister Darrow had some gray hair of his own! "Thank you, but please understand my number one priority is you, not my shoulder. I didn't want to bring any civilians into this. It's too dangerous..."
Peeling back the shoulder of her fuku, the rain mixed with the blood and made the wound look much worse than it probably was. Part of the blanket became soaked and Kallichore sighed when she saw it. She nodded to him when he started to examine her arm, listening to his questions. He obviously knew who the senshi were, or at least, what they were supposed to be doing. If he wasn't, he probably wouldn't be acting so concerned for her safety. He would be more concerned with his own.
"I can still defend us if she comes by," the senshi explained, wincing a bit at the soreness in her shoulder. "I haven't fired off my attack yet and she sure hated it the last time it landed..." Trailing off, Kallichore ran a hand through her hair and sighed. "But yes, someone is chasing me. Or was. I'm surprised she hasn't barged in here yet, but she has a spear and some sort of super villain act going on. She's dangerous and she ambushed me. Sorry about your library, sir."

"Believe me," Tony said distractedly, grimacing while she made a better view of the injury, "I'm very used to being dragged in to things. Or, I guess, dragging myself into them."
The way he spoke was almost flippant. Like he was talking about the diner he always went to for lunch. A routine: a normal part of life. How he could possibly be considering the strange things that happened to him normal was beyond him, but more and more he had been finding that was the case. He almost felt strange, a case of distant withdrawal, when he didn't have a senshi saving him, talking to him, or a youma or Nega attacking him.
He took a towel and carefully tried to clean the wound a bit, at least to get the excess blood away from the injury so he could properly look at it. He would recommend her going to a hospital for better care, but at the moment he didn't think that was a viable option. As far as he knew, whoever had done it to her was waiting outside.
"Oh, don't worry about the library," he said, looking up at her and offering a reassuring smile. "You're more than welcome to hide here. I hope she doesn't come in... maybe she got lost. Or can't find you? You can stay here as long as you need to. Uhm. I'm going to use a bit of alcohol to clean the... uh... this might sting."
He fumbled for a cotton ball and the disinfectant alcohol, getting a little on the swab before moving to dab at the wound. He was careful, but certainly not professional, and winced as he worked as if he was feeling the pain he himself. Or at least feeling the guilt of each sting.
He heard his heart thundering in his chest, and he worried the Nega was just biding her time. And would do something very dangerous if she saw the senshi again. Maybe the best option was to try and sneak out... but with her injured and the rain pouring down, Tony wasn't sure.

When Mister Darrow said not to worry about the library, and that he was very used to dragging himself into things, Kallichore allowed herself to relax a little. Even the sting of the alcohol was dulled when she heard his admitting to knowledge about what was happening, even if it was basic. She could tell he was worried about the Nega officer she mentioned, but somehow the senshi found that it was unlikely the spear-wielder was around anymore. If she was still around, then she was taking her sweet time watching the library.
She shifted when Mister Darrow examined the wound. She was watching where he was watching - the door. "I'm Sailor Kallichore, by the way." she said absently. She felt it would be better to introduce herself so Mister Darrow would have something to call her other than 'hey you' or the like. He was a good man, and she'd hate for anything to happen to him.
"If she comes in here," Kallichore started again after a moment of silence. "the library will funnel her right to us. Then my attack will have a better chance to land and we can escape." She didn't want to explain the specifics, but either way, the attack was effective as a distraction. She was suddenly thankful for that. "My first and foremost duty is to protect civilians, though I'm sure the news makes us out to be the bad guys despite our best efforts."

Tony was fairly focused on the wound, doing what he could to clean it up. The blood was worrying him, and he hoped she hadn't lost too much, though the wound itself looked less deep than he had anticipated. She must have been hit in a particularly easy to bleed spot, though Tony knew nothing about anatomy.
Another thing he would have to start looking into. The list was very long.
"Ah, Anthony Darrow," he said distractedly, offering her his hand to shake on impulse, but then realizing she wasn't really capable of that right now, and his fingers had her blood on them anyway. He looked embarrassed with himself, fumbled with the cotton swab as he tried to put it to the side, then clattered in the first aid kit for a bandage.
Nerves.
"Then it will be safer to stay here, if that's the case. Good. I didn't... want to get soaked in the rain," he tried to make a joke, to laugh, but he sounded shakey. He had to bend a gauze and tape it to her shoulder, none of the bandages big enough to cover the wound properly. When that was done, though, he sat back and sighed.
"I don't listen to the news," he said, looking at her.
It was true. He watched the news, for the stories, but not for the commentary. The delivery. The way it was colored that any damage in the city, any death, any trouble at all, was the work of a nefarious group of warring terrorists. Gangs. Whatever the explanations, Tony ignored them and focused on the facts. If anyone was killed or injured. Where the damage happened. The what's and who's. Why was just not something the media could fathom, let alone report on properly.
"Your duty might be to protect me, and people like me, but I'll help you in any way I can. Consider this library your bunker, until things are safe."

Even though she already knew his name and frequented the library as a student (hell, he might have recognized her if the senshi glamor wasn't up), she nodded as he introduced himself. His bandaging of the wound was careful and concise, if a bit messy. Kallichore didn't mind in the slightest. To be honest, she didn't know the librarian very well, but was quite pleased to see that he was a man of action. If it was appropriate, she would have given him a grateful hug, but she refrained. That would seem too personal and given the circumstances, her identity needed to remain a secret.
"You don't watch the news? Well, I'm glad." They're liars and thieves, essentially. she thought to herself with a frown. The news painted them as a bunch of thugs, hooligans. She refused to watch the news after that, and the paper was no better. She'd felt the need to defend the senshi whenever one of her family members said something against them. It wasn't their fault.
Once the wound was bandaged, Kallichore stood and inspected the work. Moving her shoulder in a circular motion, it was sore, but still workable. She could defend herself if worse came to worse, and she would be expecting another ambush once she left. "I appreciate your offer, Mister Darrow. Feel free to call on me whenever you need. I'll be there as fast as I can." She could patrol the areas nearby for a while in case anything came up, and perhaps could track down that Nega captain while she was at it. "The world needs more people like you, sir."
Giving him a respectful half-bow, the senshi made her way towards the front doors of the library. If that Nega was out there, she was ready.
