Name: Abigail Lee Doyle

Nickname: Abby, Gail, Abbylee

Age: 19

Birthday: June 3rd

Sign: Gemini

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral (Senshi)

School: DCU

Blood Type: O+

Fav. Food: Corn dogs & funnel cake with -lots- of powdered sugar and strawberries.

Hated Food: Green bean casserole.

Hobbies:

Yoga - Often split between ideas and torn between this and that, Abigail tried to find the best way to ground herself during high school and, of all things, this seemed to work. For all that her mind runs a mile a minute, Abby finds that her thoughts come a lot clearer when she's holding one of her favorite positions. This has head to awkwardness during 'ah ha!' moments which have, depending on the pose, lead her to topple over onto a heap on the floor.

Dance - Abigail loves to move; moving to music is just an added incentive and has been for as long as she could remember. While her mother would have preferred she stick to the classics, her father and her step-mother both encouraged her to press on and keep active in any way she wanted so jazz hands and modern dance it was! Abby really enjoys the feeling of burning off energy to music she loves. It's also an added bonus that she picks up some kickass moves in the process...

Reading - Take a look, it's in a book... Abby's appreciation of literature came from watching Reading Rainbow as a child. For all that you generally have to sit in one place and be rather still to read them (or have them read to you), books can take you on adventures that you just can't take on your own and this has always interested her... Although she doesn't always make as much time for the actual book as often as she'd like. Every now and then she'll just go see the movie... Or download a recording onto her iPod. The world stops for no one!

Virtues:

"Let's roll with it!" Adaptable – From her parent's divorce to her father's remarriage and even through her first meeting with her new sister, Abby has a talent for just rolling with things. Nothing seems to phase her outwardly and she's more than willing to make the most of what she's got, adapting to situations as they're thrown at her, even if she has little to work with. Life gives lemons? Time for some lemonade!

"Wait.. Hold on... I see it!" Imaginative – Abby dreams big. She sees pictures of a bigger, brighter tomorrow that's so real she can taste it, touch it, feel it... Well, you get the picture? Wait, you don't? That's okay! Her imagination is so vast that she will share it with you, painting a picture of something so wonderful that you'll be drawn right into her world with her. Great for gaming!

"It goes on and on, my friend..." Energetic – While she might not be much for early mornings, once she's up she's up and she just keeps going until everything is done. Packed with enough energy to fuel five cups of coffee, Abby throws a good bit of this energy into enthusiasm and support, putting her best foot forward as she throws herself into everything with great leaps and bounds.

Flaws:

"There's something beneath the surface?" Superficial – Abigail judges books by their covers. If what's on the front isn't interesting she expresses little, if any, interest in it and, sadly, the same goes for people. She has a horrible habit of taking things for face value, making snap judgments about people and things without giving them much of a chance at redemption. Better act fast to impress because if you don't, that's it.

"And on and on and on..." Restless – For all that it's nice to enjoy a quiet day at home every now and then, it's just not something that Abby is interested in all the time. There's a spot deep in her soul that yearns for something more, leading to endless hours spent awake wandering, and sometimes pondering. How can she settle down and sleep when there's something out there just waiting?

"This way... Or that way?" Indecisive – Abby is nearly incapable of making up her mind when decisions are put before her. The more complicated the decision the harder it is and she just... Can't choose. It isn't that she doesn't want to, or that she wants someone to make all of her decisions for her she just can't pick, much to the general frustration of others. Note: This is generally during moments of great stress. While Abigail usually has great practice and patience when it comes to dealing with things, she does have her limits and once she cracks she just can't do it anymore. How can she tell you what to do when she doesn't know what to do anymore herself?

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Sea green; bright, wide and curious.

Hair: White blonde; short and choppy, no longer than chin-length at the longest. Pixie-esque.

Face: Slender; young, cherubic. She looks a good bit younger than she is; most are pretty sure she can’t be over 16, at the most.

Clothes: Creative type of look; usually spontaneous and fun.

Senshi: Sailor Thisbe; Senshi of Woe

Challenge: Let me blind you to all but Woe!

Fuku Colors: Palette # 1 & 2.

Fuku:

The below references are for inspiration. I greatly enjoy giving the colorist range of freedom to play around with things; Sailor Thisbe and her fuku are no different. <3

Bodice: One & Two <- I am looking for the hooded corset look for Thisbe, although I like the appearance of the first corset as well. Please feel free to play with the bodice design & colors. <3
Boots: One
Skirt: One, Two & Three
Gloves: Lace gloves of some sort, preferably fingerless, lace could be torn in some places. Likely white, but colorist may choose to compliment above.

Bow, collar, brooch and accessories are all up to the colorist as to appearance and coloration. I TRUST YOU GUYS.

Attacks:

Sailor Scout Attack:

Attack #1 - Veil of Woe! - Woe lands a successful touch attack after removing one of her gloves, lowering her hood to gaze at her opponent.

  • Effects: For a brief moment Woe's opponent (singular) views her as someone close to them in grievous distress, be it a situation from one of their memories or the situation they are currently in (about to be attacked). This is meant to be a disorienting attack. It can also work without her hood, but the effect always seems more powerful when they don't see her face first.
  • Duration: Instantaneous; wearing off after one post.
  • Avoidable: If her touch is avoided, yes. If her touch lands, no.
  • Downside: Woe must get close to her enemy to use this attack, leaving herself wide open to being hurt if she can't move quickly enough to daze them.

Super Sailor Scout Attack:

Attack #1a - Veil of Woe, Anguish! Woe lands a successful touch attack after removing one of her gloves, lowering her hood to gaze at her opponent.

  • Effects: For a brief moment Woe's opponent (singular) views her as someone close to them in grievous distress, be it a situation from one of their memories or the situation they are currently in (about to be attacked). In addition, should Woe land a second touch attack while this is still in effect they also feel the physical pain of what they are imagining. This is meant to be a disorienting attack; mind of matter, in the case of the pain as no true damage is being inflicted. It can also work without her hood, but the effect always seems more powerful when they don't see her face first.
  • Duration: Instantaneous; wearing off after one post, possibly lingering into a second depending on the nature of the anguish inflicted.
  • Avoidable: If her touch is avoided, yes. If her touch lands, no.
  • Downside: Woe must get close to her enemy to use this attack, leaving herself wide open to being hurt if she can't move quickly enough to daze them.

Eternal Sailor Attack:

Attack #2 - Woe's Lament! In the instant that Woe lands a successful touch attack the feeling of a cold, dark wind brushes quickly past, the feeling lingering with those it touches.

  • Effects: Main Target: The one touched by Woe becomes suddenly overcome with the feeling that they must atone for what they have done as memories, even those vague, flood to the forefront of their mind in an attempt to wear them down (mentally and emotionally) and disarm them.
Additional Targets: Up to two additional enemies touched by the wind will feel the same as above, but to a lesser extent. Their effects will begin to wear off after the first round of posts.
  • Duration: Instantaneous; wearing off after the second round of posts so that those effected can either shake the feeling off and move on, or linger in regret.
  • Avoidable: Yes, if you're able to avoid the touch attack or in the event that you move faster than the wind itself.
  • Downside: Woe must get close to her enemy to use this attack, leaving herself wide open to being hurt if she can't move quickly enough to daze them.

Quest is open for constructive critting on the civi side. Still working on the senshi aspect, but didn't want to hold back people from commenting while she's a wip.

Abby and Thisbe are both good to go for critting! CRIT AWAY.

There's one thing I do see as a bit odd in her physical description. Slender and cherubic are completely different in my mind. Cherubic is someone who is a bit chubbier and cheery, while slender is... thin. Thus it seems to me that she can't be both. She could be slender with a cherubic face.

The flaws/virtures look really good minus two that are directly opposing each other. Adaptable means she has no problem making choices, because she chooses to go along with things and roll with the punches. She can make swift choices and adapt to the situation. Thus she wouldn't have problems being indecisive. Being indecisive would make you unadaptable because you wouldn't be able to figure out what to do.

Also, with the character so physically active and restless, while I am a big book reader myself, I have problems seeing her sitting still to read a book for very long. However a good way around this is book-on-tape. Maybe she could enjoy listening to tales while she does yoga, or is restless, instead of typically listening to music all the time. I do see you meantion this, but you talk about her sitting still for this when everything else I see is about her being such a physical person and restless that it doesn't flow as well with the rest of the persona. At least from what I can see. Maybe it'd be better to drop it as a hobby, and make it a once in a blue moon sort of thing when she gets in the mood for it.

Good luck with your questing~ <3

I'm going to disagree on the adaptable vs. being indecisive bit, although I do certainly see where you're coming, just as I also understood the apparent contradiction when a friend brought it up in the first comb-over of the quest.

She could very well be indecisive because it doesn't matter to her which of things, A or B, that she winds up doing. She could easily adapt to doing either, and both sound fun, so instead of making up the decision on her own it would be much easier to leave it to whichever member of the party not doing A or B is going to matter the most to.

In the end, it comes down to serious under pressure; when you get to the point that there's only so much adapting that you can do before you just want to plop down and go "I can't do it anymore. I can't." which I did try to point out in my explanation of that flaw.

I do get where you're coming from with the book reading as well, but as someone who generally likes to be on the move or be doing -something- as opposed to nothing myself, I can also say that there are times, whether they be few and far between or not, that I -still- enjoy sitting down to read a book, even if it's just after I've done all of my running around or while I'm trying to wind down for the day. I do still consider it a hobby of mine, even if it isn't something I do every moment that I have free time, which is why I considered it for her as well.

I -will- consider the books on tape, though, because I -can- see her as being someone who'd probably retain things a bit better that way.

Thank you for the input!
