Walking along the ridge of a cliff the golden haired mare moved towards the place she had been instructed to travel to. There she would be meeting with Pirata to attend another lesson that the older mare had planned. There had been many such lessons in her life, the first one of which occurred as she had freed herself from her wicker basket and continued even to this point. Some lessons were repeated so to better drive home the point and others only needed to be taught once. One particular lesson had been ingrained into her mind from the beginning and that was to never question anything Pirata or her Master said. Questioning was for the weak, unless it was a valid question that helped to solidify that portion of the training.
Visits from her Master were rare yet when he did come to check on her progress She-Ra did everything that he asked of and looked upon his as her true mentor. One day she would be as strong and powerful as him, but for now she lived in his shadow and served as his loyal minion whenever needed. Master would not be along for some time now, days perhaps even weeks before his next visit, which left her in the company of her other mentor Pirata. There was much she had learned from the spider loving mare, and while Pirata had raised her She-Ra never considered her as a mother. It worked out well as Pirata did not look upon her as a daughter either, but more a project and at some times a pet.
A strong wind blew along the ridge as she made her way to the designated spot. It was from here that they had a vantage point of lands around them, where they could look down upon the unworthy. Due to this particular spot being the place of their meeting She-Ra knew what the lesson would reflect upon. Bringing her hooves to a stop the mare looked out across the lands from her cliff top position. Down there, in those meadows, forests and rivers were those whom she would one day help her master destroy and enslave.
Turning her eyes away from the home of the lesser beings She-Ra looked down the path that no doubt Pirata would be walking up any moment now. Her lesson would start very soon and she was ready to accept the 'words of wisdom' that the spider mare would impart upon her.

There she was, her mentor and the one who had ensured her survival as a foal. Those days were a somewhat distant memory, though there were a few memories that stuck with her. The main one was something that happened several times during her foalhood. She remembered the first day those spiders of Pirata had decided to try her out for a snack. At first it had just been one of the small ones that crawled upon the young foal and then after a few moments sunk it's fangs into her flesh. Though she had yelped in pain Pirata had done nothing to stop it. Then the spiders slowly began to gather upon She-Ra, biting her over and over. The pain back then had been intense and for a time She-Ra believed that Pirata would allow her spiders to feast upon the foal.
But no it wasn't meant to be, and through what seemed like extreme reluctance and disappointment the dark mare called off her spiders and even helped to clean the wounds. That was her first real lesson in how to deal with pain, not just to experience pain but how to ignore it and make it work for not against her. It was also then that she learned any disobedience would lead to her demise. Her loyalty to the spider mare was sealed that day and shortly after that so was her loyalty to her master. Of course it turned out that, several days later when Pirata explained it to her, the reason she did not pull the spiders off right away was to test to see how worthy of a disciple she would be. Apparently she had done well, for though she cried out in pain she had not kicked, rolled or done anything at all to rid herself of the arachnids and that had shown great discipline and courage.
Pirata's precious little pets were always placed higher on the priority than She-Ra, yet that never bothered the golden haired mare. Today was no such exception as the spider upon the mares shoulder pulled Pirata's attention away before any words could be exchanged the two. "Voracious little devil isn't it." She said in a neutral face, not particularly caring for or hating the creatures, if they needed food then she would of course fetch it for them. "Of course I will fetch him whatever he desires once we are through." She-Ra said with a slight nod of her head, but now it was on to business.
Turning her gaze to where Pirata's was the golden haired mare looked down upon today's subject. "Weak blood, those who think happiness and families is the best reason to live. They do not see the way that it should be." As her eyes turned back to Pirata a bit of a devious smile crossed her maw. "They would make excellent slaves for the Master...or perhaps a snack for your pets. Either way they are far more useful to us that way than prancing about in grassy fields." She could only hope that soon she would be able to round up several slaves and perhaps sacrifices for Pirata and Master, as that would please them both greatly. The sooner she could get those lazy Soquili into her Masters clutches the better.

Of course She-Ra could not fully understand the way of predators. Yes she would hunt food for Pirata's spiders when it was needed, however she herself did not hunt for sustenance and could only fathom the need to constantly be in search of food that moved and on several occasions fought back. Grass, which filled her belly and kept her alive, was so readily available that it did not require any effort to acquire other than lowering ones head. But predators, like Pirata's spiders and her Master as well, needed to actively search out and kill their food. She-Ra had yet to see her Master on a hunt but surely it would be a glorious thing to see him take down his victims.
As Pirata spoke She-Ra was brought out of her thoughts and back to the present. Partially true. Well isn't that why her lessons continued to this day, to ensure that she knew all the answers and would make her Master proud. Pirata had done an excellent job of molding her into the mare that she was today and with a bit more teaching she would be ready. Giving her head a nod She-Ra agreed that those below them we in fact wastes and extremely useless. And yes their prolific breeding had led to multiple generations of weak and like minded creatures that only further sullied the gene pools with their inferior blood. It was such a waste, and there was a longing in her blood to go down there and take care of as many of those weak blooded Soquili as she could. But not yet, not until her Master had told her to do so, as surely he wanted her in top physical and mental shape before setting about his goals.
"Their numbers can only protect them for so long." She-Ra told the dark mare with obvious hatred in her voice. ""Their continued breeding of weak lines will be their ultimate downfall. They will not be able to defend themselves once the Master makes his move. I too will make sure to destroy as many of them as I can. Strong blood is the only blood that should continue." And strong blood they had, especially her Master, surely he would see to bringing in plenty of new strong blood through his plans and rid this land of the weak useless wastes of space that currently occupied them.

"Of course." She-Ra said with a nod of her head. "It is foolish to rush into battle without knowing not only your enemy but one's purpose for battle as well." Even the strong blooded could run into troubles should they blindly thrust themselves into a fight. Some could success, yes it was true, but others would pay the ultimate price for their hasty actions. Clearly this is why Master and Pirata had not allowed her to go out there just yet, they wanted to ensure she was completely ready for any and every challenge before releasing her into the fray. So she concentrated on her training and lessons, memorizing everything that they taught her so that when her time did come she would prove herself to them - and the world.
Still, the golden haired mare was anxious to get out there and make her mark on the land. Hopefully at Master's next visit he would deem her worthy enough for such a task and then she could begin to fulfill his every wish. A strong gust of wind blew, tossing her golden locks about for a moment before falling back into place. "I understand." Turning her eyes from the lands before She-Ra looked towards Pirata. "Though we have been forced to live in these harsher lands they had also been a gift to us, hardening our bodies and minds, giving us the advantage over those meadow frolicking weaklings." Having life handed to you made one weak, but those who lived in the less inhabitable areas had to work hard for everything - food, shelter, followers. This would be the strong point of those who wish to wipe the lands of the peaceful mares and stallions that breed like rabbits. Soon these lands would be within her Master's control and all would be well.
As she looked back down upon the meadows below She-Ra contemplated something for a few moments before speaking again. "I have heard whispers lately. That even more are taking up Master's cause, or following similar causes, and that soon they will move upon the lands. Some say that the rumors have spread to those below and they are preparing to defend themselves...but that is a foolish notion. How can the weak defend themselves?" She wasn't worrying about the possibility of an army of peaceful Soquili standing up to her Master and the others, no even if that happened Master would be triumphant. However, in the back of her mind She-Ra wondered just how this would affect her. Would another take her place as her Master's favored disciple? Well she would not allow such a thing should it happen. All these years of devotion and training would not be for nothing.

She-Ra nodded her head, of course Master would make sure to set things as they should be once his plans began to unfold. Why else would he have devoted so much time to prepare them for that day to come. "I have no doubt that we shall be victorious in our bid to reclaim those lands." She watched the dark mare closely, but her arachnid pets closer. They seemed to be moving about more than normal, perhaps they were bit agitated, but why she wondered, what was bothering them today? "They seem more restless than normal." Pointing towards the spiders with her muzzle. Though the spiders weren't her true concern She-Ra had been raised around them and often saw to making sure they were fed or entertains.
The golden haired mare considered Pirata's words in regard to those outsiders who were shunned from this so-called 'society' and how they were stronger than the others. But how strong? Could they possibly be strong enough to properly serve her Master? No, she didn't think so. However She-Ra knew full well of the importance of such types, they could prove to be useful as minions for a time and should their usefulness end then they would be disposed of along with all the others. She remained hopeful should some of these potential new recruits prove themselves worthy that Master would trust her to take them under her command and led them. "They may be strong compared to those weak blooded fools, however I doubt they will be strong enough for Master. It will take months to break them in and teach them what is necessary." Shame they would need to waste such time, yet they would need minions to do their bidding so they must endure such things.
"I do not fret." She corrected the mare, not out of disrespect to her mentor, but to show she had no worry about these minor bumps in the path. "They will merely help in their own slaughter by clustering together in some vain attempt to save their lives and delay our advances." No, there was no need to worry, besides where was the challenge if they do not fight back. They were no different than the prey beasts Master and Pirata's spiders ate, they fought back for a short while however they eventually submit to death.
