If one thing could be said about having eight siblings (eight!) was that Mheetu was never really alone. That wasn’t a problem for the playful cub but Mheetu liked following his brothers around and today that was proving to be a somewhat difficult thing. Half of them were sleeping, Zikamil had run off with Musabari to do what could only be exciting and adventurous things and Mheetu didn’t really feel like bugging his sisters right now.
He didn’t have enough initiative to run off on his own nor the heart to wake one of his brothers for play. He turned around and looked for their mother. Maybe Mzuza would think of something fun for him to do. She might even let him play with her pretty pebble if he promised not to ruin the necklace.

Mzutu had been dozing for a while now but the nearby sound of pawsteps had drawn the cub from his slumber. He yawned widely and stretched, not quite sure he wanted to get up just yet, while his sleepy eyes sought out the source of the noise that had woken him.
"Mmm...thought you were asleep, Mheetu..."
He glanced at the forms of his sleeping siblings. It seemed, for now at least, that he and his pale coated brother were the only ones awake.

“Mzutu!” the pale cub half-whispered, half-shouted. Someone was awake! Wait, had he been the one to wake his brother? “Sorry, did I wake you?”
He moved closer to his green-eyed brother whose eyes reminded the cream-colored cub of Kamil’s bright violet ones. Not the hue of course but both his brothers had the lightest and prettiest – from Mheetu’s perspective – eyes and the cub loved to see them shining in the sun.
“Do you want to do something?” Because he sure did! Mheetu might not know what but he definitely could use a game or a simple distraction.

"Yeah..s'okay." The red maned cub was awake now there was no changing that.
Mheetu's seemingly endless fount of energy astounded Mzutu at times. His brother seemed to have more energy sometimes than all his siblings combined!
"Yeah, has to be something fun we can do around here." His red tipped tail swished back and forth, hopefully not bumping into anyone often enough to wake them.

“Sorry…” the pale cub said somewhat abashedly but his little grin ruined the effect.
“We can’t run off alone because Kamil and Mu already did that…” and it would be pretty obvious that something wasn’t quite right if four out of nine cubs suddenly went missing. Anyone would notice that. “The girls are over there and I don’t know where mom is.”
He looked around, trying to figure out what they could do before the other cubs woke up or returned.
“What can we do?” Mheetu wondered out loud. A game? Exploring? Climbing…? Maybe prepare a prank for one of their brothers…?

"Hn..." Mzutu's gaze flicked around the cave. "...we could go explore and see if something interesting comes along?" You never know what could happen with two cubs wandering around by themselves. They would just have to be careful not to go too far, lest they get lost.

“Okay!” Mheetu said full of excitement, more than a little eager to accept his brother’s idea. He ran to the mouth of the den and looked around. There was some low clouds moving quickly in the sky but the day was warm and pleasant allbeit a little windy. They could try and track down Kamil and Mu!
“Where do you think the others went?” he turned his head to look at his bright yellow brother again. “Do you think we can find them?”
Mheetu had no tracking abilities whatsoever so it would only be through sheer dumb luck that they'd be able to find the missing brothers.
