I made the mistake of posting a comment online on an article about Rob Patty. I stated that I must be missing something, because I don't find him attractive and don't understand what women see in this guy. Well, I forgot all about it with school work and all and going to the movies with friends to see Scream 4 and Insidious. (Scream was more laughable than scary, and I found Insidious to be frightening. Both were good movies). Just out of curiousity I visited the article again to see if the Twi-tards gave me a low rank. I found that a 51 year old woman replied to my comment stating that Robert Pattinson is attractive in his 'own dirty way.' That wasn't the part that got me, even though I disagree. The part that got me was the fact that she assumed that because I don't find him attractive I must be a guy. She stated that women are attracted to men like him and that men are not supposed to understand why. Well, I doubt that she will see my reply as the article is two days old, but I replied to her by stating, "I'm a girl, smart one."

I don't think that's as much of a Twilight-based 'herp derp' moment than it is a celebrity or "Star Struck" one. It seems like these days people cannot decide for themselves who is attractive and who isn't. They just look through magazines for the "Top Sexiest suchandsuch" and parrot that like there's no tomorrow or latch onto a bandwagon and ride it until it breaks down.
I get bitched at for not thinking that women like Megan Fox or Kim Kardashian are drop dead sexy all the tome. My advice would be to wait until the "OH you're saying that because you're gay/a lesbian' comments start. That's always lots of fun...

I agree completely, because I have relatives that do that exact thing. My neese, for example, will pull the 'everyone likes such and such, you're just weird' card. rolleyes Surprisingly, I've never been labeled a lesbian for not usually having a crush on who's 'hot' in Hollywood.

Purple with red eyes and- oh wait... sweatdrop
But seriously... fictional characters are perfect!
Even if someone does label me "les" I can just tell them "har har I'm bi, so it doesn't really matter what you think."

Demoness Crystallia I'm not really attracted much to any irl celebs. I like fictional characters better ^^; I'm the same way- I prefer fictional characters as well. (Unless, as recently happened to me- a book in a series compeletely butchers a character >.<) I've never had a crush on any irl celebrities, until I got into Japanese visual kei. xd )

Demoness Crystallia I'm not really attracted much to any irl celebs. I like fictional characters better ^^; Same here. Maybe because they aren't real, so fads don't affect them, and they don't have to degrade themselves for approval. :/ I'd rather fall in love with someone I know personally and is attractive, rather than be atttracted to a far away celeb that I'll never touch.

I once got a similar reaction when I announced I thought the movie "Red Eye" sucked balls. It was a poorly written film with some big name stars that I think was supposed to be a feminist film but slowly fell into the typical "all men are evil" story and then about an hour of beating the s**t out of some guy (by a female star of course). But the female audiences seemed to love it! So when I posted a negative opinion on the movie everyone immediately assumed I was a male.
