Another day, another minor adventure. Oloneric was starting to become a bit more confident about wandering outside his family herds territory and today was no exception to that. His brother Syrrin had already run off and it was anyone's guess where the grey colt had went to, which left Oloneric on his own - for the most part at least. After spending a bit of time with his grandfather, mother and aunt he decided to let his hooves wander a bit...but not too far. His goal today was someplace he had been before and a spot that was close enough to home for him to still feel comfortable yet far enough away that he felt alone. The stream was probably one of his favorite places to go to right now. Not only could he find plenty of interesting things there, shiny rocks, frogs, the occasional small fish and plenty of insects, but he could also swim if he wished or just take a drink.
Trotting along the well worn path that led to the stream Oloneric took a deep breath and enjoyed the moment. Soon he found himself standing at the edge of the stream peering into the crystal water. What would he find there today? A fish, a new rock to add to his collection, the tadpoles his grandfather told him about? The chirp of song birds could be heard as they flew about, and crickets and grasshoppers added to the spring time melody. He loved the spring, it was warm, there was plenty to see and do and lots of delicious new grass to eat.
