This is Zone 5. Zone 5 connects to the ZOMBIE PLAY AREA and to ZONE 4.

DEFENDERS:
YOU AREN'T HERE YET!

ZOMBIES:
Sand and plants. Graaagh. These are not brains! WTF MAN!
To be revealed once route have been chosen.

Moving on the Field:
Before you may enter the field, you must pick a route: A, B, C, D, or E. As a defender, you MAY change routes mid-field as long as it's next to you. That is, if you pick Route B you may only switch over to route A or C. D and E are too far away. This can be done ONCE every 12 hours. Otherwise, you may only attack those in the same route as you.

Ie, I am in Route D and there's a zombie in Route E. I had just switched to Route D from C. Even though the zombie is technically next to me, I cannot attack it.

Because of this, when you enter a route thread please post which route you're in at the top of your post in bold. Example: Omega 17 is on Route E.

To move further up the field, you need to enter and exit by means of ROUTES. The Routes will open up every GM turn.

[Entering from Zombie Play Area]

ZombE-1 shambled up to the field and regarded that paths with dull hope. When she was certain that none of the paths here contained braaaaaaiins, she grumbled a disappointed Graaaaaaah, and tried to decide which path to take. At which point, she looked down and discovered she'd already stepped onto a path.

Great! Now she didn't have to think about it anymore!

ZombE-1 began to lurch down her path.

{Entering from Zombie Play Area}

Zeta 12 shuffled down Route A at a steady pace, not too fast, as his limbs were not as elastic and spry as they once were. Not that he knew that. Or cared. His body was a means to get to sweet delicious brains, and nothing more.

yII entering from play area
Route C

There were a few different lanes from what Z-yII could see. It didn't really seem to matter all that much which one he took since there only seemed to be sand and plants here. Neither of those things had brains so he could care less about them. Giving a low groan, he just shuffled on towards the middle path as it was the closest to him at the time.

The base seemed so far away and he was really hungry. Why couldn't this body be in a little better condition?

(( yVII entering from Zombie base, going to Route C ))

The Zombied Gamma didn't feel like moving too much. It was way too much work to shuffle towards one of the further routes; too much moving, not enough moving towards the brains. So he shuffled after Zombie-Gamma Two towards Route C, his glowing olive goggles focused on (or at the very least staring in the direction of) the base with the brains in it.

"Raaaahg..." He groaned low, shuffling his way towards his lazily chosen route.

[Stigma 2 entering from Zombie Base]

What? Sand and plants and dirt. What was this? No brains yet? Stigma 2 got the vague feeling they ought to be angry, but that took too much energy, and energy required delicious, delicious brains in the gaping hole that was their tummy. They stumbled onto a lane, not paying much attention to which one it was (Route D, as it happened), and started a slow shuffle forwards.

They paused only briefly to peer myopically back towards the starting area. If there had been the capacity for concern left in their decaying mind, they would have been concerned about their fellow Stigmas; as it was, they idly wondered where the other skeletal ones were, then decided that they'd follow along soon enough.

((Eta Three is entering from the Zombie Play Area.))

His zombie form seemed to be lacking a great deal of muscles he'd usually use to walk and the frustration erupted from his disjointed mouth in a loud 'Grrrrrahg.' He had to swing his leaded arms about simply to get momentum to get him moving as one leg just seemed dead, well he certainly couldn't raise it. He shuffled along, his head swaying to try and figure out which path hadn't yet been taken and then started swinging his arms about vigorously, though not enough to lose them for they seemed to be hanging on simply by a small bunch of sinew, to get his hopeless form to move quicker down the path and to his goal; BRIANS.

((Eta Three has started upon path D.))

[Entering from Zombie Play Area via Route D]

Delta 6 made her way forward slowly, limbs feeling heavy. The sandy ground made it even harder to move, her feet sinking in with each trudging step. Her whole body felt different, in fact, but her thoughts felt thick and clumsy and she gave up on trying to figure out what had happened. But somewhere out there were brains, which, her new body was telling her, were delicious. And she was hungry.

[ Beta Five is entering from the Zombie Play Area and taking Route B ]

Somewhere out there were brains. Beta Five could tell. Somewhere out there....there were delicious, wholesome, nutritious brains.

They really were quite good for you. He knew that much, at least. And he would have to get there sooner or later. Preferably sooner. He liked sooner. Sooner meant eating and eating meant brains and brains meant delicious sustenance.

Vaguely, somewhere, Beta Five was acutely aware of the fact that he didn't exactly look the way he was supposed to; that his arms felt quite heavier than normal, and that he was splotched with a sickening red, but that was so far in the back of his mind that he just shrugged it off.

Besides, brains were much more important. Yes. Yes they were.

And so, tilting his head, Beta Five began to amble down a path.

[ Zeta Six is entering from Zombie Play Area and taking Route E]

Allowing his arm to drop he felt it shift his entire body towards a direction. Never had he realized just how heavy a rotting body could be and how muscle mass - once his great ally (though he didn't have much in his previous body) - was now part of what was dragging him down. Taking a step forward he began to move much like a sumo wrestler, taking small steps and shuffling towards the sweet aroma of brains.

Had they no scent, zombie Bones didn't really care, he wasn't even sure if he could smell anymore. With bright orange lights locked to the distant brain storage he focused solely on it, looking back only to tilt his head forward towards an old friend to draw him on with him.

Surely after dining he'd get rid of the cravings and his stomach would stop growling, though at that point he wasn't sure if it was him or his stomach moaning hungrily. Continuing slowly he held his body closely and the march was on.

[E-12 ENTERING from Zombie Play Area and taking Route E]

E-12 merrily marched towards the House of Brains. She dutifully fell into step behind another rotten body and looked ahead towards their meal. Her body was not as responsive as it had once been, that much she knew. She remembered flashes of a frightening knife fight, but the blood quickly turned her thoughts towards the task at hand.

“Graaagah,” she chattered away as they walked forward. E-12 liked to make friends!

[Stigma Five entering from Zombie Play Area; taking route E!]

The n00bs were so n00bish that half of them weren't even here. They'd probably lost various limbs and were staring at them in confusion, instead of just sticking the ******** things back into the socket and moving forward like a proper zombie. If Stigma Five still had an upper lip to curl disdainfully, he would have done so. As it was, he emitted a haughty "grrrrrrrrargh" as he stomped through the sand.

Showing them how it was done, aw yeah.

[A7 is entering from Zombie Play Area, and taking Route C.]

The routes were open, and the shuffle of zombie steps passed by him as they headed up the paths. There was no choice but to follow, though there was something wrong with the way he moved. It was as if he didn't want the dance to end, even as he hobbled down the middle route. His hips still gyrated, and his shoulders still twitched. Zombie A7 was fully intending on dancing his way to the end - whether that end be tasty brains, or his own demise.

His only regret was an automatic crotch grab. You don't want to do that as a zombie. Seriously.

<< Stigma One is entering from Zombie Play Area and stalking down Path C. >>

The zombie in front of Stigma One appeared to be gesticulating wildly. If he wasn't standing right in front of her, she might have ignored him. As it stood, that zombie was blocking her beeline to the Brains Bonanza, and she was having none of it. What if a brain fell carelessly from someone's skull and he beat her to it?

Despite her best waddling, Stigma One was moving at the exact same pace as the monster in front of her. Her helmet dipped forward, as if to give her more speed. She barely had any flesh on her! Why couldn't she be faster?

And that was the story of how Stigma One was forced to watched Zombie Alpha Seven's rotting a** gyrate in front of her for the long walk to Braintown, Terrifying Island, Possibly USA.

[Zeta Seven is entering from Zombie play area and taking Route B for Brainz]

There were brains ahead, Zombie Kirk could feel it deep within his squishy parts. Just keep stumbling, just keep stumbling~

One step at a time, one groan closer he kept telling himself. There was no stopping his trek to the haven of grey matter. He didn't care about anything else; not about how funky he might have smelled, the loss of cognitive speech or even that his left arm was barely connected to his body. Just brains.

It was like the groans he was emitting wasn't coming from his vocal chords, but his empty cavity he called a stomach. But it would be solved soon.

Just one shoddy step at a time.
