[This RP is subject to change if necessary] There isn't much to see here that hasn't already been seen before. Unforgiving snow. Brutal winters. Starvation. Slaughter. Those are only a couple of the harsh details of these notorious mountains. They expand to about 28,000 miles in total area, with a height of about 24,000 ft. Everything here reeks of despair.
But there are those who can survive.
The wolves, strong and proud, reign over the territory. They fight constantly to survive. The other packs are pitted against each other, and tear the other enemies' flesh apart for scraps. Their fur is thick, but not enough to survive the nights on the mountain. They consistently struggle to seek shelter from the silent killer's freezing grasp. Their hearts are filled with sorrow, and bent into a way of mercilessness. Perhaps from seeing their cubs dead before their eyes, perhaps fallen by the other packs, or suffering through the night with terrible sickness, and gone in the morning. Their families wiped away, their lovers stricken down into the frozen grave and themselves tarnished and abused.
But there was one pack that was different.
The Hanaugh clan was different. It's members consisted of the strongest, well-fit and kindest individuals. They were blessed with the mountain God's gifts of shelter, water, food and safety. They gave to the other clans as a form of charity after watching them get beaten down countless times by the destructive factors on the mountain.
But the other clans grew greedy.
They ambushed them in the night, and sank their claws into their bodies without giving them chance to defend. They tried to fight them off, but the other clans also attacked along side of them.
Their cries pierced into the night while their last remaining offspring was carted off.
Lady Hanaugh, the creator of the clan gathered some of the remaining children and pushed them away from the massacre without having them look back. The children were still young, but they knew what was going on. They heard their fathers' and mothers' cries while they pushed forward into the night.
They stopped about five miles away from the camp, and Lady Hanaugh dropped them in a small cave. The cubs, scarred, poured tears from their small, tired eyes.
Lady Hanaugh whispered in their ears, "I promise I will keep you safe. But you must heed my words. Do not leave this cave until I come back, and don't make sounds. Lay still here and be safe." She wrapped them in a warm bear skin pelt one of the hunters had left behind. She whispered again, "I will be back soon. I promise."
She licked each of their ears and began to walk away slowly. Then she started to sing to them a sweet lullaby. Near the end when they had fallen asleep, her voice started to choke as she, too, began to cry.
In the morning the morning, the sun beamed into the cave and lifted the children's eye lids open. They waited quietly as they were told to do for a couple of hours. After three hours of anticipation, a dark shadow, Lady Hanaugh, rose from the icy desert. The children perked their ears and smiled, trying to get her attention. She didn't smile. The cubs saw why in seconds.
Lady Hanaugh's fur was littered with dried blood, her body pierced with bite marks and her legs wobbly and limp.
She stopped at the cave and collapsed with a large thud. Her breathing heavy, and moans escaped her chest. The children began to cry over her, tears of sorrow and thankfulness for not having to endure such hardships. She spoke softly to them, "Wait here again another day, then you must leave. You are still in danger. I promised I would keep you safe, now promise me you will do just that." She paused as the tear overflow began, "You've been taught by the strongest men on this mountain, use everything you know. I know that you can do it as well as any other alpha wolf." The cries in her throat began to let loose. "I. Love. All of you."
They cried immensely until she passed away in the stillness of the night. The children licked her face and nuzzled her cheeks to get her to wake up again, but to no avail. The children buried themselves in the bear pelt, and curled together. They would need each other more than ever.
This was fifteen years ago. The history has been erased. Many of the Hanaugh clan members still walk the mountains, some deceased, many surviving. They have grown into adults. Some still might know each other, some might be with other clans and some might live elsewhere. But one thing is for certain.
It's a lost history about to be continued..Quote: Character Sheet (Feral) - Name: Description: Age (Human Years): Specialties/Detriments (Budget!): Location: Other:

Name: Raven Description: Dark gray, and bigger than most wolves, he has a claw mark on his neck and right shoulder (Which he never explained) and has green eyes. He tries to look smaller than he actually is by keeping his head down. Age: 18 (That's a older age for a wolf right?) Specialties: Good hunter, tracker, and fighter, but still friendly. Other: Has an inescapable fear of heights, despite his name. He also hates his past, which he never told anyone.Caring, fierce and loyal. He doesn't take no for an answer and always tries to defend what means something to him, even if it costs him his life. He likes being with others, he is slightly talkative.

Name: Fields Desription: He looks like a large black wolf, but this is actually only because he has a lot of fur. He has a small white patch on his underside (OOC: It's a ticklish spot, but he doesn't tell anyone this) and small white tips on his ears. Under his fur he's got an average build, but his legs are a bit more muscular than the rest of him. His eyes are blue and always try to ee the best in someone, even when they themselves don't see it. Age: 18 Specialties/Detriments: Is a great scout/messenger and is extra resiliant against the cold, but doesn't have much in the way of fighting skills. Is also a fast runner, another reason he's a great scout. Has a little bit of knowledge of the local flora, and likes to nurse other wolves back to health. Other: He loves to be outside despite the harsh cold. He's friendly and couteous to everyone, but if you get on his badside, he ignores you and doesn't acknowledge your existance. He's currently a lone wolf, but his front door is open to any members of any clans in need of medical care, he considers his cave to be neutral ground. He barely remembers the Hanaugh clan Massacre, and makes sure to take special care of any of his clan members...

The white fog enveloped Raj as he walked back towards his clan. It was lighter than usual, but it was still semi-thick. Some of the snow made a small pile on his back, which he shook off and sprayed in the air. Three rabbits dripping with blood were clenched between his teeth by their ears as he trotted back to the clan. He could taste the sweet liquids in his mouth as his stomach began to growl. But he knew that he had to feed the alphas first.
He had trailed farther away from the clan to go hunting than he should have, but did managed to find good game. Overall, it might have paid off if the fog didn't start picking up again.
The wind pushed past him. He started to pick up his pace and sniff out the clan's scent again for insurance. It was faint, but it was still there. He rushed passed some of the trees and swam through the deep, bitter snow.
There was a situation. A huge chasm blocked his path. Go left? Go right? He didn't really know. He decided to stick around for a couple of minutes and see if the weather would change.

Raven was lying in a den, he was cold, alone, and waiting for the fog to thin, he could easily track his way to food, but he decided hunger was better than cold. He sighed, "Need a pack..."

Fields slowly woke up, there was no hurry, there were no other wolves in his cave today. Nor had there been one the day before, or the day before that. In fact, there hadn't been another wolf in his cave for almost a week now. If it kept up, he'd have a new record on his hands in no time. Jon quietly slipped out of his cave and caught a rabbit for breakfast. he couldn't be going hungry now. As he trotted back to the cave along the chasm, he saw a sitting figure throught the light fog. 'Now who could this be?' he thought to himself 'Most wolves don't sit around like pups out here.' He trotted up to the wolf and sat next to him "You aren't going to jump are you?"

Raven stood up an hour later, and shook himself off, "Well, better get out of here, it probably is someone else's den..." he trotted out and ran into the fog, and kept going until he too, was at the edge of the chasm, "Oh no..." he said, he took a couple steps back, and took a deep breath, "Okay." he started running along the chasm and ducked behind some trees when he saw two figures talking.

Raj looked to see the large black wolf coming towards him and heard the wolf call to him, saying something about jumping off the chasm. The wind blew into his ears and disrupted the sounds coming from the black wolf's maw. He walked towards the new wolf cautiously, "I need to get back to my clan," he said, "It's about two miles away from here. I will give you a rabbit if you can help me get back." He dangled the fresh meats in his mouth.

"Um, I'll help you, but you don't have to give me any of your food. I've got my meal," he shook his own rabbit to emphasize "and I know how rowdy Alphas get when they don't get their food. Just tell me what clan you're with and I'll lead you back." Jon sniffed the air and caught the scent of yet another wolf. Fields sighed, looked around, and caught sight of a grey wolf running towards them. He only caught a glimpse of him, as the fog was obscuring him pretty well, but he could tell that the big guy was coming straight for them.

Raven knew he was spotted, and decided to let them know he didn't mean harm,he walked up to them cautiously, saying, "I'm just passing through. I don't want a fight." he explained. He looked at the rabbits, they looked good, but he wasn't about to take them. He just waited to see whether they are going to try to hurt him.

Raj welcomed the newcomer and nodded to him to let him know he was safe. He turned to look to his right and left which showed the exact same picture just without two wolves. Walls of white. "Hey, you two," he said, "I need to find the Melisa Clan, do you know where they are?" He was probably far, and he hoped that they knew how to return to them. "The clan will allow you in if you are with me, and then you can stay the night. Just keep your head lower than the alphas to show submissiveness to them," he warned.

Raven lowered his head, he was a lot bigger than most wolves and he already tried looking smaller, "Uh... I'll take you there..." he said, "But I doubt they would like me there..." he looked at the walls of white, and the sniffed the air, there was a trace of scent in the air, it was a wolf. He already had the Melisa Clan's territory's direction so it would be a bit too easy to find.
"Follow me." he said, not harshly, but he was tense about going into other wolves' clan territory.

"I sense that your just a tad nervous," Raj said. "The only thing you need to worry about is showing respect and you'll be fine." Raj trotted behind the new wolf. He didn't want to be rude, so he asked, "so what are your names? My name is Raj." He continued to trot behind and started to think whether or not the other hunters found game or came back at all. He could care less. His clan wasn't very nice to him anyway, and for what? Because he wasn't born into the clan? Sometimes, that place is a damned cult. he thought. He quickly glanced at his recently bitten leg, then tried to ignore it.

Raven looked back at him, "Er... I'm Raven." he said, keeping his head lowered, he would just stay silent when he got there. He hoped they wouldn't deem him as a threat due to his size. He never liked being big, everyone always thought he was a monster or something.
