I'm not sure but I think Saiyuki has this secret yaoi thing going on.....I mean I've seen the charecters laying or leaning against each other and I found a picture of Gojyo and Hakkai and Hakkai's hand was down his pants!!!! and the picture didn't look like fan art that looked like a picture the actual artist made!! so who else on this guild thinks there's SOMETHING going on

i do...course i hate the show had to force myself to watch the two discs that my friend let me borrow cause we both thought it sucked...but from what i saw there is gayness in it

Erm...I don't think it's canon, but there's certainly a lot of suspicion. The author has hinted herself that Gojyo might be gay or bi, but so far, I haven't found any concrete proof.

I don't know haven't seen it yet but I have seen many pictures so I thought....maybe not. Well I was going to rent the first volume at the video store. I didn't notice it before ^^; or maybe they just added it. I thought I would check it out biggrin

There's absolutely no concrete proof, but I think the creators intentionally left the hints there for yaoi fangirls. After all, the entire show is aimed at fangirls. Which is why none of my guy friends seem to like it. The typical reaction I get from all of my male anime friends about Saiyuki is "Oh, it's just a bunch of Bishies for girls to drool over." I even forced a couple of them to watch them, and in the end only one of them even got close to liking it -- and that's just because he sounds and looks like Hakkai. Which is why we now CALL him Hakkai... xd

There's not much proof but I sorta get the feeling Gojyo and Hakkai could be a little more than friends or maybe all the fanfiction is is messing with my mind.

It's not canon but it intentionally allows you to think of them as more than friends. That's because most of us are perverts and can't admit that they can just be very close friends.. blaugh Anyway, yeah.....I'm very fond of the SanzouxGoku pairing myself... 3nodding

Kazuya Minekura (the creator of Saiyuki) WAS a yaoi mangaka before she did Saiyuki... she often does artbook pics with the guys in compromising positions. She hints alot.
Before Saiyuki she did Wild Adapter that IS a yaoi story. So while none of the Saiyuki pairings are canon, she does nothing to discourage the speculation, and in fact seems to encourage it.

i have to agree that any hints (or really big dashes xd ) of yaoi in saiyuki are mainly fanservice... but i must see that picture of hakkai shoving his hand down gojyo's pants!!!! heeheheee. big supporter of 58, in case no one noticed. feel free to pm me with the pretty pic!!
