This morning in Spanish class, I was visited by a most adorable little furry friend... a baby possom! whee
Possoms have been one of my favourite animals for years, and every time I see one, I have always wanted to just pick it up and cuddle it. Unfortunately, my dad wouldn't let me pet the one we found in the dumpster because he said it might have rabies, and the guy at the zoo wouldn't let me pet his possoms because they were too young to be handled by a bunch of visitors, and my weird friend's pet possom died before I got the chance to meet it...
But this possom was perfect! Her name is Zara (means "possom" in Spanish) and she is the only survivor of the car-running-over-possoms incident that killed her mother and all her siblings, so she is both lucky and poor at the same time. emo
So yeah... I heart Zara the possom! 3nodding

I'm glad to zoologist wouldn't let you pet his possoms wink
I love possums. I think they're adorable when everyone else thinks they are ugly rats rolleyes They're just jealous

lol I can't stand people who think possoms are rats. Intelligent people know that they are marsupials, and therefore related to the koala bear! whee

I thought possums were nocturnal lucky break you met it in the day. My neighbor has possums on her porch at night and they are very shy and tend to run when they are noticed. One time I walked right over them and didn't notice it until my neighbor opened her door and the light shined on them.

Now the being related to koala's I didn't know, but I probably would have figured out sooner or later XP But koala's are nasty! Possums aren't really nasty. They'd rather run than fight, hence why they play dead razz

I have seen many baby squirrels. Never held them though. Squirrels have to many fleas... I hate fleas.

Awww, I would've loved to see a baby possom. I've only seen adult ones. My mom thinks they're absolutely hideous but I think they're adorable. :3

My hubby's ex-girlfriend has a pet opossum right now and i guess it hisses at everyone but her and it thinks of her shoulder as its mama it's pretty young.
