The news had hit the family like a ton of bricks. Bradley Reese, cousin to the children of the Calloway family, had passed away about one week ago. His funeral was coming up and everyone was preparing their Sunday best. Christa did not have such a thing as her Sunday best, so she was sent to the mall to do some shopping. She wanted something nice to wear just for Bradley's honor. She wasn't sure on the color, but she knew she didn't want to wear black. Last she heard, any color was alright. Bradley wouldn't have minded, and Melinda would probably prefer something that wasn't so dreary. While cousin Mel was working on her flute piece, it was Christa's mission to find a suitable dress and flower arrangement for Bradley.
The gray-haired teen was standing in front of a dress shop's window, looking at the display in a half-hearted manner. It kept her focused on the task at hand for a little while, but she was tired. She was out shopping in her Meadowview uniform, not having the gumption to go home and change before heading out to the mall. Her heart wasn't in it. But through her shopping, she decided maybe something in red would be nice. Mel would no doubt wear something green. Green suited her.
The Meadowview student turned to walk to another store and, without looking, ran right into someone else. She didn't lose any possessions of her own, but she may have knocked the boy down. Sputtering, Christa apologized profusely and offered to help him up. "Sorry about that... I just wasn't watching where I was going. Are you okay?"

Andrea stumbled as well, but fortunately had nothing to drop - he was here just window shopping. Recent work at his dance school, coupled with his senshi duties, had left the boy pretty tired, and so he had taken today to just wander around the mall and look around.
He recovered quickly, though, and, perhaps confusingly to the girl who had run into him, started to laugh.
"Oh, no, it's fine, I'm sorry, too," the boy told her, rubbing his fingers through his bleached fringe as he tried to suppress the laughter. "Sorry, not laughing at you, honest," Andrea then tried to assure her. "I just-- I seem to be running into people literally way too often lately.
"You're fine, though, right?" Another chuckle slipped out. "I must be totally lost in space these days."

The laughing confused Christa slightly at first, but she was weary so it probably didn't register as much as it should have. She looked down for a moment in embarrassment before looking the boy in the eye. He looked exhausted too. Maybe term finals were getting everyone down. "Sorry again. Maybe we're all just really tired. School, work, life... you know how it goes." It was short and simple, but it was the truth.
Christa carried a few bags from here and there around the mall. One bag was from an engraving gift shop, one was from a flower shop, and still another from a shop known to carry women's accessories. She looked utterly frayed, but tried to keep it together as best she could. "You sure you're not hurt or anything? I ran into you kind of hard. I certainly didn't mean to."
The boy didn't look to be carrying any bags, so nothing could have been broken (she hoped). Shaking her head, she almost forgot her manners. "Sorry, I'm... my name is Christa. Sorry to make your acquaintance like this."
