Melan was investigating something that he found to be interesting, there were signs that a bird was starting to get closer and closer to where Vampy was hiding out. He didn't think that the birdy knew exactly where it was at but he got a feeling that the bird knew at least where the general vicinity was which he found amusing. He wondered... would the little bird find his way there? Would he cause trouble? Or was it just a random coincidence that he was so close? Hard to tell since the bird didn't seem at all normal from the traces left behind, in fact if he had to hazard a guess he would say he was traveling with another that wasn't nearly as reputable as the bird himself was.

"Interesting." It really was something, seeing their kind cross paths with each other, to see how they would react. Would they fight or would they find interest in each other, finds uses for each other. It was hard to tell. Given the bird was already claimed though he would cease hunting it down and see about finding another to claim for himself, to make up for the one he'd lost so long ago. One day maybe, for now he wanted to find something else to do... maybe... maybe he could go to the Labs? Bother Vampy perhaps? Or play with more of the spawn? They were always to much fun! He gave a clap of his hands, whirling around on his heel and abandoned what he'd been doing and started in that direction, whistling to himself.

As he walked along he got a few looks here and there, some concerned, after all how often did one see a child walking down the street on their own? As though he cared what they thought though he did give them smiles when he saw them looking his way, waving here and there, then continued on his way. Silly people, as though he needed them to save him... Though he wouldn't refuse it they offered openly since it might get him a free meal. He just had to be careful of those with ill intentions... not that it was hard to sense their darkness from miles away for him.

Melan jerked his head up as he heard a voice calling out his name, a familiar sort of voice, and much to his delight he saw someone that he would consider a friend instead of an enemy. Mischa... what a nice surprise! He gave a smile as his friend got closer, lifting a hand to wave at him, "Hello there, Mischa!" He said in a friendly manner, seeming ever the part of the happy child. He took a couple steps forward when he got closer, lifting his hands up to him so that he could give him a hug, "Its been so long, Mischa! I never thought that I would see you again!" In fact it was a danger when he knew that he rarely paid attention to how time passed, he missed things, lots of things, when it came to his various friends.

"How have you been since we last played? Good I hope! I hope your not still upset with me for having to leave early." He said, looking up at his friend in a manner that said he was worried that his friend might be upset with him about that. He sure hoped not since he wanted to play with him again, now in fact, since nothing else fun was going on.

Melan happily returned the snuggles that he was getting from his friend, a completely delighted look on his face, and if he were a cat he would likely be purring in this moment, "Yes, its so much nicer to meet in warmer weather." He said, he felt far more comfortable when it was warm out himself, not sure if Mischa felt the same but surely flying much be far easier for him when he wasn't being pushed around by harsh, cold breezes?

The happiness glittering in the young boy's eyes seemed to fade a bit when his friend told him that he wasn't happy where he was, wasn't happy at home, and he gave a soft sound in his throat, "I am sorry, Mischa. I didn't know you were so sad, I'd of visited sooner." He murmured, reaching up to he could pat his friends cheeks in what he hoped was a soothing manner.

"Play? Sure!" He said then motioned, "I had been about to visit a fun place if you want to go. Its fully of all sorts of monsters, birds, and funny people that are far to much to tease." He had a lot of fun at the Labs and he had free reign of the place after he'd made a deal with the Boss that ran the facility. Given that Mischa came from there he surely was allowed to visit as well, no reason why he couldn't, not as though someone his size could start a rebellion.

Melan seemed quite pleased with the fact that he was able to guess right what the boy might like when it came to the weather. He gave a little clap of his hands, quite happy, before he grinned when the boy nuzzled against his hand. He really was a cute one, it just made Melan want to steal him away... and given the fact that there wasn't anyone around today it was quite tempting to do just that. Not as though there would be anyone to stop him, the only one who might try was Vampy and surely that man wanted to pick his battles were Melan was concerned.

"I am glad to hear that you missed me so much, I find that a lot of my friends don't when I come to visit again." He said, giving a little mock pout before the expression passed and he was smiling once more. He didn't actually care one way or the other what people thought, he marched to the beat of his own drum and the rest of the world be damned. Not as though there were many that wanted to get in his way though since he was nothing more then a cute little child, more were willing to play with him in fact for at least a little while.

Melan lifted a hand up, offering it to Mischa so that they could hold hands as they walked, "I like holding hands, you should have seen the look on Cody's face when I held Edes's hand. It was priceless." He said, recalling that his even being close to Edes was enough to make Cody's hackles rise. So much fun! He started forward, leading the way, "I think you will enjoy the place, it seems boring at first but there is so much going on there under the surface and so many strange creatures that live there. Its really worth a visit at least once. Somewhat like an otherworldly zoo." He explained to his friend.

He ran away...? How exciting, his Father must be beside himself with worry he thought to himself, lips turning up into a happy sort of smile which he was only because he was so happy to see his friend and to be complimented in such a way of course! Not like he was thinking about causing any sort of trouble. Melan? Never! He stepped in closer to his friend to whisper, "I am doing the same, the one that keeps me in line wasn't looking so I bolted." He told Mischa in a manner that made it seem as though it were the biggest secret ever before he chuckled, "Looks like we are both playing prison break today!"

He looked at him for a long moment, thoughtfully, then shook his head, "Replacement? Naw! Your much different. Edes was fun to play with, yes, just as Cody was fun to tease, but your the one that I keep seeming to find. It seems that Fate wants me to find you and that means your special." He told him, giving a grin. Yes, this spawn was special and hearing that he had no close friends his age, that he was sneaking away from home, it made it all that much more tempting to do with things he liked... that being keep them for his own. He would behaving himself though, for now.

"Your my friend, Mischa, your the one I want to play with. If I wanted to play with Edes I would be with him after all but I am not." He snuggled closer to his friend, ever sweet and innocent on the outside, "Though I can't say that I would skip another chance to tease Cody. hehe."
