Mao watched the droplets of water cascade down from the tree that he was under intently, focusing on that small sound, annoyed. Why the hell did it have to rain today of all days? He hated the wet stuff! It always got his thick coat so wet that it was incredibly difficult to dry off, and he couldn’t sleep when he was wet!
The young lone shook his head as a few of those pesky droplets crashed onto his muzzle. Damn it, if he knew that it was going to rain on this very night, he wouldn’t have left the cave that he was temporarily staying in earlier! Crap, and it was already too late to go back from where he came. So instead, he decided to stay under the large pine that shaded him from most of the miniscule drops of precipitation. It would let up soon anyways, or at least that’s what he thought.
Grumbling, the male laid down, curling up into a tight ball as he stared out into the rest of the forest, willing the downpour to cease and for it to become just a regular cloudy midnight once more.
