A mountain range that surrounds the outskirts has sister volcanoes that erupt together all the time. Between the two is a small path that will take you out of Invictus territory, however should you be caught between the two when they erupt be prepared to escape or die.

His pack was heavy as he strolled down the path. His muscular build easily held it up though. Wrapping a small cloth around his face to filter out the ash and gas of the twin volcanoes they were passing between Isaac looked over to his partner, "I wander if Invictus has changed any since I left forty years ago?" He had met Desmond as he traveled preaching his word of good hope and peaceful resolve though many thought him a loon for believing anything like that could exist.
His tan arms were glistening with sweat and he listened to the earth's rumble as if it were speaking to him. He knew they were in no immediate danger of an eruption from the giant sisters around them but sometimes even the earth could be full of deceit. "In any regard I believe we should make haste Desmond, before the sisters get angry with our voyage between them."

Desmond had his armor off. It was far too hot in this area to be walking around wearing heavy armor. He'd have cooked himself like a potato. He still kept his sword on his left side, hooked on his waist, but his shield was a bit more difficult to get at, as it was on the back of his pack that held his armor in it. His tunic was soaked through with his own sweat. He didn't much care for the heat, but this had seemed the closest and easiest way into the city. "If it's anything like you said it was before, then it probably hasn't changed. Such a pit of sin rarely changes without a heavy force to turn it." he said with vehemence in his voice, but somehow still making it sound eloquent. He trusted Isaac well enough to know when the man told him to jump off a cliff to live, it might be a good idea to leap. "True enough, my friend. I don't trust these sisters not to lose their temper at us coming between them." He looked ahead of them. The path was still a good distance, but they should be able to make it before the sisters went off.

Isaac gave his comrade a smile and turned to look at the massive city off in the distance. He picked his pace up ever so lightly his bare feet patting the ground as he walked as the earth did not bother him no matter how hot or cold it got. "We are that force Desmond, through us Invictus can behold it's salvation!" Isaac was a peppy little monk but he could be serious at any time he wanted but living a carefree and peaceful life is what made his so happy that it normally escaped in his tone when he spoke. He continued walking as the reached the end of the path, with a quick turn and a deep bow to the volcanoes he continued on as they reached cooler temperatures and greener pastures.-exit to Invictus Forest-

Desmond admired the monk's resolve and morale. It was contagious. "Yes, my friend. We will drag this city into being a good and model city. And we will drag it kicking and screaming if we have to." He followed his friend closely, his feet pounding on the hard rock and dirt. He wore heavy boots, and he could feel that they were full of sweat already. He reached the end of the path and was extremely grateful to the Creator that it was cooler. He sent up a silent prayer of thanks as he followed his comrade into the even cooler areas. Desmond-Invictus Forest.

S̄ds̄ı walked the path, a gnarled quarterstaff hanging loosely from his back. He had not known of the twin mountains that would be in his path and could not spare any part of his ratty robes. His breaths were ragged due to the unclean air of this place. His heart beat speeding up as he closed in on his destination. Where was he headed? He did not know, but he was aware of it being a thick shadow. He could feel the shadow over this place, and it was growing thicker as he walked this dirt path. His only goal was finding the center of this shadow. From the center of the shadow he would work towards relieving it.
He had not eaten in days, unable to bring himself to killing an innocent for food. The path and land around barren of foliage for him to scavenge. His feet sending shocks of pain up his leg with every step. The ground here, littered with volcanic discharge, ate at his bear feet. These factors caused his travels to be arduous, and make him look forward to leaving this path and entering fresher and easier to travel lands.

Killik arrived at the burning pass, there was alot of volcanic activity and for some reason he felt more at home with it despite his original element was that of the forest. The young Demi-god reduced his aura and sat down alone on a charcoal boulder thinking to himself about his anger and hatred at this moment towards his mother.

Dormir remained just outside of the burning pass sensing Killik's aura very close by. If he approached any closer then he would be putting himself at risk of Killik's wrath. In terms of power and skill Killik far outweighed Dormir's abilities.

Ash swirled at Dormir's feet in a light cloud. The rest needed to for any number of forms at the demon Losak's calling had been spread out behind him. It fought internally with itself not to go ahead and pull Dormir into Killik's range just for a chance at the boy.

Killik was thinking carefully after calming himself a little. He suddenly got the idea to go crush the Demons by himself. He was powerful and felt he should have enough strength and experience to take them on himself.
He remembered witnessing the abilities of Shadowscythe and the mesmeric powers of the succubus. He remembered a couple of others but did not get a chance to see what their abilities were.
Killik looked at his fist and smiled determined to take the Demon faction for Mercury. He then began to venture towards the Demons area. ((Exit to the Forest of Lost Souls))
