Getting out of the house without Grayson there to escort her had become a trial. Contrary to popular belief, it didn't become easier to escape the house once your parents knew that you were a senshi. It became harder, because you now had someone wanting to know where you were going and when you would be home. In fact, it became near-impossible, because there was always that one more youma and then you were grounded.
Virgo, at least, with really really conscientious of groundings. She'd keep in touch with the Princess through the cell phone, but it wasn't the same--or even any good. It made sense she wouldn't know some things, like...
The fact that Eon had come back. Or someone like Eon, she edited in the back of her head; but she'd been turning a corner when she'd seen the lookalike, long enough to see the orange hair and the fancy, Princely clothes. Quite quickly she had turned back, abandoning her patrol route and her bedtime to yell after the tall figure: "Hey!" and give chase.
She ran fast, as she would tell just about anyone. But with a head start the length of about one and a half city blocks, she could be chasing this guy for quite a while. Still: It might be Eon. It might be the Prince! And if it was, she could make the Princess so happy...

Gianfar didn't have to worry about being grounded or anything like that, but apparently he did have to worry about being stalked. He didn't realize this though...and why would he? It wasn't like he had any specific enemies that would intentionally seek him out, and he didn't realize how vitally important it was that he looked like Chronos' lost prince. He still felt bad about that! He was still thinking of ways to make it up to her. Presents? Surprises? There had to be something. Girls liked flowers, right? Maybe he could get her flowers. Wait, would that seem like he was hitting on her? He didn't want to hit on her he just wanted to make it up to her for not being this prince she was saying he looked similar to. He sighed and rounded a corner to continue on with his patrol, a small frown on his face as he stared up at the sky and walked with a bit of a shuffle every now and then.
"Hey!"
What? Gianfar paused to look back over his shoulder, squinting his eyes to peer at who was calling for him...and running to him! He didn't sense the presence of the negaverse from her...she was a senshi? One he'd never seen, certainly! But if she was a senshi he'd stop for her, he wouldn't run. He seemed to be in a hurry to get to him though. "Ah...yes?" He asked the girl as she got within earshot of him, turning to face her fully. He was confused now, and curious as to why this girl was coming at him like this.

It was a good thing poor Gianfar turned around, otherwise his fall onto hard concrete would not have been cushioned by his magnificent hat. Virgo had tackled him, wrapped bracer-clad arms around his torso with one shoulder slamming right into his sternum. Luckily she hadn't thrown herself at full speed; that would kill a person. Instead, he was probably just winded, but it probably was not a big deal compared to having a small blonde senshi straddling his stomach and glaring at him. "Prince," she began, her tone... hopeful? Angry? Annoyed?
Then she got a good, closer look at his face and the expression crumbled into embarrassment, and was that... despair? "I'm sorry," she said, hanging her head; the translucent veil hid her face, but not the wet way her words were slipping out. Her hands came up and rubbed at her face, trying to hide the tears. Boys hated it when she cried, and she didn't want someone who liked like Eon to hate her. "You just... you looked like the Prince. Obviously you're not!! But I thought..."
Lamely, she finished, "I was wrong."

"GAH!" Gianfar grunted and hit the ground like a rock, glad the brim of his hat folded and added as a cushion against the ground. Smashing his head against cement would hurt. A lot. Wh-what was she doing?! She didn't look like a corrupt senshi! He stared wide-eyed at the girl straddling and glaring down at him. She called him Prince? Why di--oh..ohhhh he understood now. Gianfar groaned and wanted to hit his head against a wall or hard surface repeatedly, but a hand coming up to press the heel of his palm against his forehead would have to suffice for now. Craaaaap. Was she one of Chronos' Zodiacs? This girl was confusing though. Why had she looked angry? Er..angry and...well now sad and...this made a bit less sense than Chronos. Chronos had been clear, she had been heartbroken. This girl? She was confusing him.
Annnnd she was crying. Crap! Gianfar frowned and quickly sat up, supporting himself with one arm while his free hand came up to quickly try and wipe tears away. He was stopped by her rubbing at her own face. "I'm sorry. Please, don't cry.." He wasn't angry, he wasn't mad! He sounded more sympathetic and apologetic than anything else. He couldn't stand to see girls cry! Damnit! As she explained why she tackled him he sighed and gave her a very tiny smile, tapping his fingers under her chin to try and get her to actually look at him. "I'm sorry. That seems to be something I'm good at lately. Chronos' prince?" Greaaat..was this going to become a 'thing'? Every time one of Chronos' zodiacs saw him they'd think he was the prince? He wasn't exactly angry but it could get bothersome. He didn't want to upset anyone just because he happened to look like someone.
"It's fine...I...er, well.. He sighed. "Honest mistake." He held a hand out to shake with the girl sitting on him. "Name's Gianfar."

Embarrassment ruled just about everything right then. Of course this person wasn't Eon, Eon was dead--but could you blame her for hoping? Everyone else who had died that day had come back. To Hell, maybe, but they'd gotten out with civilians to spare and everyone since had been okay, obvious exceptions aside. And after that traitor-prince had been introduced to them all in Elysion...
She really, really wanted the Zodiac Prince back.
"No, I'm sorry," she said, dropping her hands and scooting off him once she had calmed enough to stop crying. The hand was shaken, solemnly, though she didn't meet his gaze. "I'm Soldier Virgo, Zodiac Captain and guardian senshi of Innocence." Her smile was a little shy, and she stood without letting go of his hand. The blonde senshi was quite petite, so he didn't get very far off the ground. She dearly hoped he didn't point that out, because... well... She was the more experienced senshi! Relative height didn't matter, did it? "I know he's dead. I just hope, a lot."
Once they were both on their feet, she dropped a little curtsey. "How has your patrol been, Sailor Gianfar?"

Way to make Gianfar feel bad. Seriously now! He tried not to let it show but he couldn't just let her cry, he needed to do something. As she apologized and got off him and introduced herself. Innocence? Cute, how fitting of a Virgo. That may have been the point. He allowed her to...uh...help him up, using most of his footing to get himself up while still doing his best to let her believe the work was mostly her. It mostly wasn't. Once he was standing he straightened his fuku and looked around for his hat, picking it up when he found it and perching it on his head again. As she curtsied he blinked and looked rather taken aback by the action. No one had ever done that for him before, it really wasn't helping the 'People are mistaking me for a prince' part of his brain right now. Don't do it! Don't do iiiit!
Gianfar grinned. "Well aside from being tackled to the ground by tiny Zodiac senshi it's been going fine. Nothing interesting as of yet, with the exception of normal civilians here and there you're the first I've seen." He plucked his hat off his head, curving that arm across his chest and bowing fully for Sailor Virgo. Shut up! He'd been practicing! "And it's a pleasure to meet you, Sailor Virgo. How has your patrol been?" He asked her as he stood straight again, returning his hat to its place atop his head.

Too late! She'd already curtseyed, and didn't regret it at all. If she knew he'd just pretended to let her help, she probably would have gotten offended; as it was, she was none the wiser and beamed at him. Virgo had a cute smile. She knew this and used it to her advantage when she thought she needed an ace in the hole. Since the senshi before her had recently been tackled to the ground, she thought it'd be good to pull out all the stops to show how sorry she was.
Her expression brightened at the bow and she clapped her hands with delight. He really was very princely, even if he wasn't Eon. Probably the best mistake she'd ever made, she decided.
"Quiet," she agreed. "I think all the youma are hiding. They're scared of us, right?" And she flexed. It was pathetic, because she was a five-foot-two little girl with big green eyes and built more than speed than sheer force. She dropped her hands to her sides and smiled, biting back the correction of it's Soldier Virgo because he didn't know better. "So, how long have you been a senshi, Sailor Gianfar?"

He grinned at how excited little Virgo got over a simple overly dramatic bow, putting a gloved hand against his lips to try and hide it. There was no hiding the chuckle though, but at least that only lasted a few moments. She was adorable! "Perhaps I should bow more often if it gets this kind of reaction." Shrugging, he looked around again. Constant vigilance!
..That sounded familiar. Didn't his sister yell that at him once in jest before trying to tackle him with a hug? Something from a book series.
"Well considering..the other night," He cleared his throat and tried not to let his mind wander back to those memories. Too unsettling, he couldn't let himself get that way in front of Virgo. Her flexing made him pause before he could say much else, bursting into laughter. She was so cute! Not in one of those 'Oh baby she's a cutie I would love to tap that' girls, more like...dude! She's adorable! So tiny and petite and tough! She reminded him a little of his own sister. "Th-they may just be...recovering. Or something." Gianfar breathed deeply to calm himself, a soft chuckle escaping him every now and then.
Hmm, how long had he been a senshi? Gianfar held his chin between his thumb and index finger, humming thoughtfully and actually giving it serious thought. Months? Yeah, months. "...Does awhile work? It hasn't been forever, but it's been a nice chunk of time. I can't exactly remember what day specifically it happened on off the top of my head." He shrugged. Details, who needs 'em? "So, Zodiac?" And she had called him Prince! So it was safe to assume she was one of Chronos' soldiers. "You thought I was Eon too, huh?" Dietrich frowned at that as he rubbed at the back of his head, one hand resting on his hip. He truly felt sorry for confusing two girls now about this, but it wasn't like he was going out of his way to go 'Hey look at me I look like a dead prince HAHAHAHAHA BUT I'M NOT!' So much trouble. He almost wished he could just say he was Eon! But that wouldn't be right. Gianfar was no prince. "I'm..really sorry about that...um..would you like to patrol together, then? Since we're both here anyway?" Company was always nice to have. And strength in numbers, right?

Good, he was laughing, which meant... he wasn't mad! Oh, good, definitely good. She didn't need anyone being scared of her--she only wanted to help. The senshi ought to stick together, especially if what she was hearing was true. Those Blood Moon Court toughs... She frowned, thinking of it.
But it wouldn't be good to share her information. Not with a new senshi, no matter how much he reminded her of the lost Prince. "A while is a pretty good answer," she said, smiling brightly, the corners of her eyes crinkled tightly. She started walking as soon as he offered to patrol with her, the smile quieting a bit. "Yes, let's do that." After she started moving? Nice move, Virgo.
"Yes! I am the Captain of the Zodiac Guard. Eon was close to all of us, and we miss him badly. Without him in our Court, we are not complete." They were not complete anyway. They would never be whole again--the best thing to do was to go on. Muscle through it, and find out what they could do to restore the Surrounding here on Earth. Something to keep all the enemies away.
Of course, that was a pipe dream. Virgo knew it, even if she didn't think about it.
She shrugged a tiny bit. "Do you have a team, Sailor Gianfar? It's not safe for a senshi at the first stage to patrol alone. You could get hurt."

Annnnd there she went just walking away. Well! Alright then! He took that as her answer before she even gave him one, following after her with a small hum. If she didn't want him following her she'd let him know, he was sure of it, but thankfully she agreed to join his patrol. It was almost eerie how quiet it was. He was fully expecting someone to come out from around the corner, or an alley, or down from the rooftops of the buildings around them screaming a challenge in the name of the Negaverse.
But no. There was nothing. Not a thing. Just civilians, nothing more. He sighed and folded his arms behind his head, relaxing as much as he could allow himself without completely dropping his guard. Captain, huh? She looked quite dainty for a captain! Then again, Perseus looked like a dainty young lady herself and she was anything but! Looks could be very deceiving in this world. He frowned a bit at the talk of Eon, not out of disapproval but because he felt..bad. He wasn't Eon, he would never be Eon, and yet he kept meeting Zodiac senshi who believed him to be Eon. It was both a boost to his ego to be confused for a lost prince and a painful blow as well; he was no prince. "I'm very sorry to hear that. Maybe one day...?" He gave Virgo a hopeful smile. Maybe one day their prince would return! From how they spoke of him it didn't seem likely, but they could still hope, right? At least they had their princess though. A princess was better than no one, right? And she was such a lovely and kind princess as well.
"Me? Oh, yes. Team Vogue, captained by Sailor Perseus and Sailor Rosalind. They were the first I encountered upon awakening and they took me into their team. Perseus is a great captain, though Rosalind does occasionally get on my nerves." He chuckled. "But it's alright. She's fun to mess with. Thank you for your concern though! I've done alright so far. I've gotten lucky in that I haven't encountered many Negaverse..only stray youma..." Excluding his ventures into Elysion and the night of the Black Phoenix Youma, he hadn't had much trouble when it came to the Negaverse.

"No," she said, glancing at him over her shoulder and then slowing down to walk more alongside Gianfar, as opposed to ahead of him. She had to remember to do that more often, she decided, but she was just so impatient! She had to go places, and do things, and... Okay, well, right now the thing she was doing was walking with Gianfar.
Ugh, so confusing. "No, Eon is gone and he will never return." Utter certainty, because all Zodiacs knew the terms of the deal. They knew the fate of their Prince.
She smiled, though. "But I'm so glad you found a good team! That's so lucky, to find good comrades right off. The Negaverse is very dangerous, and it's good to have people who you may call for backup. I think our greatest strength is in the variety of powers and skills we have, you know? The senshi are very flexible. You have found this to be true, too, right?"
Hopefully he agreed.
