Miss? She was a miss now? She grinned at his words, sitting down once more even though her nerves buzzed and crackled with electricity. Oh my, what was this feeling? It was like she was dreaming, or the minute right before you woke up from one. "I suppose that could be arranged," she smiled, then beamed. "I'm Anippe of the Dawnwalkers... You could call me Ani if you wanted?" Her head tipped to the side, a feminine touch. "You must be what my brother meant..." she murmured, looking certain: she adored Leto, even with his strange ways. He, who'd been so assured that he didn't need a girl...found a girl. Her heart sped a little in her chest, kicking like a racehorse. "What's your name?"

----------------------------------------

Oh that was a wonderful name to the lips, Anippe. Though Ani was just as pretty as the first. His face swelled with a red blush over the pink fur. ‘Hey body…you embarrassing me!’ He yelled to it with no luck. He just kept blushing. “Anippe is such a wonderful name.” He beamed feeling just as weird as she did. “My name is Kaume. It means warrior. Ironic since I don’t believe in battles unless my loved ones are in trouble.” And currently he was out of luck for loved ones they were back in his old pride- and he was here miles and miles away.
--------------------------------------

She noted his blush and laughed, bells on the wind. "Why thank you," she beamed. "It means "daughter of the nile". It sounds...royal, even if I'm not bred of royalty. I'm no princess...but Papa spoils me, so." She grinned. Kaume... She liked it. Without hesitation, she thought, Kaume and Ani... Has a ring to it. Then she blushed. My, wasn't she bold! "You have a home then? A family to return to when nights get too long?" She couldn't imagine life without her family, to be brutally honest. Even when she came out here, into the roguelands, she was never far away.

------------------------------------

“Your father is more then right to spoil you. Even if your not born from royal blood it still doesn’t mean your not a princess to somebody.” He caught himself before gurgling out ‘You could be my princess!’ The bead of sweat with obviously apparent on his head that he was embarrassing himself. He was glad she changed topic. “Well I don’t have any family to go back too…or a real place to go back to, aside from the rocks and sand about me.” He waved a paw over his ‘kingdom’. “And over there I was thinking of putting more sand. Rocks over there…And over there sand. Quite the fixer upper ain’t she?” But he was a man so he didn’t see anything wrong with the way he was living in his ‘cave’.

--------------------------------

She grinned and flicked her tail across her toes, drawing the sand around in a swirl while she watched him, teal eyes keen. The sun was still bright, still beaming...but suddenly it was too hot. "I'd love to be someone's princess," she admitted a little sheepishly. "I dream of being spoiled...a loving knight in shining armor to sweep me off my paws... And kids. I love kids...and would love my own family." She paused, adding, "Someday, of course. If the time was right... And..." Only if it was surrounded by family. She gazed around, at his kingdom, her jaw slack for a moment. "You...really live alone? All alone? Don't you get lonely, Kaume?" Her eyes widened.

--------------------------------

Kids…that struck a nerve. Oh that’s the end of his bachelor life there. Why did women always want kids? As far as he knew they were annoying and pesty. Though, he looked into her eyes. If she wanted them he would have them; maybe they would be completely different then what he knew. Oh lord only hope so or else so help him and his ear drums at 4 in the morning. “Someday. distantly.” He chuckled at her then took his tail tip and ‘swept’ off her feet from the sand that was blowing on it. “Is that what you meant?” He cocked his head. Women were sure strange.

------------------------------

She seemed to notice his pause, his hesitation. Ooh, maybe the big boy didn't want a family? "Are you the loner type, Kaume?" she teased gently. "No pride, no girlfriend...and no kids?" Though it didn't throw her off: it should've. She should've left--a bachelor wasn't in her agenda. She wanted a family man...but... She couldn't hide the way her heart kicked. She nearly laughed as his tail swept the sand off her paws, tickling their tops. "Kindof," she grinned. "More like...a boy to dote on me. To wake up beside me, every day, and be happy he has me. Someone I can...You know. Love?" She blushed a little. "But...I can't leave my family behind. I love them. So...my boyfriend would have to eventually be brave enough to join my pride." Her eyes gleamed ornerily.

----------------------------------

His mouth gave a lopsided frown at the thought of him being a loner. “Well I’m not the loner type…but you know being alone isn’t that bad from time to time- really cleans your mind out of all the bad stuff. Lets you think and figure out who you are. I’m sure you’ve asked yourself those tough questions from time to time; who you really were inside.” His smile came back. He didn’t want to seam boring. He mind often wandered from time to time. “Anyway- back to what you were saying. I can promise you and swear to Ra that I would make you the happiest lion of your life.” He took a graceful bow and puffed out his chest. “Though you might have to ease me into the family thing slowly. I’m still not used to crowds.”

------------------------------------------

She didn't think him boring; quite the opposite infact. Yeah, she was pretty smitten. What would Mother think, smitten with a boy she'd JUST met. She giggled at the thought of Val's concerned motherly ways. Maybe she'd have to work on her Mom...but Daddy... Daddy would love it. At Kaume's words, she gave a soft squeal and padded around him. "Aw... You mean that?" Her heart swelled at his uncertainty around her family. "Oh, no worries... You could move though, stay closer to the pride...and then maybe I can bring my family out to meet you before you join? Oh, please say you'll join!" She danced on her pawtips.

----------------------------------------

He nodded his head at her as more sand dropped from his mane. Was this love? He’d never given commitment to anyone in his life. “Why yes I do ma’am.” He tipped his maw to her much like he was wearing a hat. “I mean every word I say.” It felt nice to have a family once again. He last one he didn’t feel like he fit into…but this one seamed different. “I would much enjoy that meeting your family, and I’ve been looking for a pride for sometime now.” The smile curled about his lips.

-----------------------------------------

She grinned broadly, her sunny disposition shining from eyes-to-soul. "I'm no ma'am," she chided with a gentle swipe of her paw, playful. "Just Ani...and I'm glad," she smiled. "My Papa is gonna love you...or maybe he'll be all protective-Daddy on you." She offered a coy grin. "Just kiiiidding! And you'll love my siblings, I've got so many. And my big-sister, Shani, just had a litter of babies, and they are so cute," she gushed, prancing in place before boldly pushing her shoulder against his. "Hehe, I think I like you, Kaume."

-------------------------------------------

“And I you.” He grinned and blushed at her again this time redder then the first almost matching her coat. Oh my he was embarrassed. But content with it too. He really didn’t mind giving up his loner life for a love life. Just what the doctor ordered. A spoonful of love. “Lead on Missy Miss
