Seidh stretched as she flopped down on the fountain’s edge in the park. The teen was taking a break after delivering some of her baked delights to her Uncle Freyr, her newest past time and obsession, cupcakes! She actually had quite a few left over as she glanced down at the container next to her, where different flavors of blueberry, raspberry, blackberry and chocolate cupcakes sat, prettily decorated. Yep, it was an obsession.
The teen let out a pleased sigh as she closed her eyes, and slid her roller-bladed clad feet back and forth across the bricked ground beneath her.

So hungry.. so very hungry...
Vahn had left home a while ago. It was just supposed to be a short walk to the store, but upon arriving, realized he had not brought money with him. After an unsuccessful attempt to convince the cashier to just give him the food, Vahn left to find change. Surely people dropped change all the time?
This proved unsuccessful as well, an now he wandered the park, shoulders hunched, eyes bloodshot and feet dragging behind him.
Hungry.. so very hungry..
Suddenly, his nose caught a sweet scent. His ears twitched and tweaked, his nose sniffing the air. It smelled like cake! His stomach growled in desire. The lanky teen werewolf followed the scent to a girl by a fountain. Beside her, a container of the most delicious looking cupcakes. The girl looked ready to pass out, and those cupcakes were not being watched. Vahn saw an opportunity. He crept down onto all fours, slowly creeping up beside the cupcakes, keeping a watchful eye on the girl, as is hand slipped up to grab what could be his lunch.

She was exactly as tried as she looked, as her brow furrowed a bit. The compass within her twist did a spin, alerting her to the presence of someone nearby. Whether it seemed to be perfecting timing or dumb luck, Seidh’s hand shot out to pin down the hand that was coming towards her container of cupcakes as her eyes opened, her black gaze turning to the would be cupcake stealer.
The teen blinked as she took in the appearance of the hand’s owner. Oh dear! He didn’t look so good…
After staring at him for a moment longer, Seidh removed her hand from his and flipped the top off of the container. She reached in for one of the chocolate ones, chocolate was a pretty safe bet, and held it out to him.

No sooner did he take his eyes off of her, did Vahn's hand become prisoner all of the sudden. "GAH!!" He yelped suddenly, his head jerking to the side to stare back at the black eyed girl. His gold flecked eyes stared, with a look that was either saying let me go and you don't get hurt, or please don't steal my soul.
The moment she let him go, his hands retreated to his person, and he stood up, taking a step back. His hands now safely behind his back, his gaze narrowed down at the girl. What was she doing? Was she going to taunt him? Reveal they were fake and this was all a ploy to catch would be cake thieves?
Yet, she offered him a cupcake.
He looked from the cake, to her and back to the cake a few times. He bent down, narrowing his gaze at the confection, sniffing at it as if it might be a trap. Finally, he picked it up with his thumb and forefinger, inspecting it as he straightened back up. His stomach gave a loud growl, as if to hurry the boy up. At last, he popped the thing in his mouth whole, paper wrapping and all. Normally, he wasn't big on sweets. He didn't hate them, but they weren't his first choice of meal. Raw meat and potato chips were more his thing. But he was hungry, and the sweet scent of cake commanded him.
He chewed on his treat, staring down at the black eyed girl. He swallowed it with a loud gulp, licking his lips, a small bit of chocolate remained on his cheek. Such an animal. He stared some more, tilting his head to the side. "Your eyes are weird. Can I have another?"
Manners, he has them.

Seidh didn’t seem intimidated by the gold flecked stare if it happened to be trying to intimidate her, and she was a bit confused that he looked almost…fearful? Like she was going to steal his soul or something. That was just silly!
She had left-overs, she would definitely go home and make more, so Seidh didn’t have a problem with offering one to this teen wolf who looked very hungry. She continued to hold it out to him, watching him as he watched it curiously. When he took it at last, she smiled a bit before becoming a bit shocked at how he consumed the entire thing in one go. Even the paper! Surely that wasn’t good for your stomach!
The teen was actually alright with going to give him another, until his words caught her off guard. Her lips pulled into a deep frown as her other hand instinctively went up to shield them from sight. Yeah…they were still weird, weren’t they? While she may have gotten older and not quite as sensitive about them…the insecurity was still there. This was also the first person she had met who said something negative about them…it was a bit of a shock!
She turned away a bit from the teen wolf, frowning still as she then interlocked her fingers together over her lap. “…Y..yes…you can have the rest of them…” She replied back, trying to edge a cheerful tone into it, though it came out as more of a squeak.

Had he meant to hurt the girl's feelings? Quite honestly, he didn't intend to do anything but point out what seemed obvious to him. If she got hurt, it didn't matter much, especially since now he was offered the entire batch of cupcakes. "Frickin sweet." He smirked in a pleased manner as he picked up the container. All for him! No work needed!
He was in a good mood now, so he wasn't going to take off with her container. He would eat what was left, and then give back what was hers. Isn't he just the most thoughtful boy ever?
"Sho.." He started to ask, mid chew, "You like bladn?" He asked, nodding towards her roller blades.

The teen let out a sad sigh as she stared down at her covered feet. Why couldn’t she have normal eyes like almost everyone else, she still wondered. Even though Fremere’s eyes were almost neon orange, at least they were ‘normal.’
Seidh glanced over at Vahn briefly as he picked up the container of cupcakes and started to enjoy them. At least someone was in a good mood? Even if he did decide to make off with her container, he probably would have gotten away with it. It was very nice that he didn’t intend to, though.
She was mulling over her thoughts when his muffled voice broke her. The teen kept her stare down, taking a moment to try and register what he’d just asked her. “….Huh…?....O..oh….yes…I do.” No, she was just wearing them for decoration, duh! She glanced over at him once more, unsure about what to say, if she should say anything at all. He was still around so…did that mean he wanted to talk? She didn’t know what to say at the moment.

Being the brute he was, Vahn had no way to sense anyone's discomfort. The fact the poor hurt teenager in front of him was inner angsting and obviously brooding over his insult, went unnoticed. His empathy was astounding, no?
"Looks like a lot of work over nothing." He pointed out, stuffing another cupcake into his mouth. He stared down at the strange contraptions with a judgmental brow raised. "Is it really that fun?" Looks dumb. Like, super dumb, he thought to himself. Because a boy who spends 12 hours in front of a TV and the other 12 in bed really had the right to make judgement.

Seidh was in a bit of disbelief still when Vahn went on to say a few more…careless things. The teen looked a tiny bit dismayed when he ‘commented’ about her learning how to rollerblade, one hand coming up to run through a part of her hair awkwardly. “It’s…it’s not work…when you have fun doing it.” She replied quietly. “It’s…very fun.” Her brows furrowed more in confusion regarding the teen next to her.
“…Don’t…you…have any hobbies?”

"Huh.." He commented idly, staring at a cupcake in his hand. He supposed some people might find enjoyment in allowing shoes with wheels to careen themselves down hills. People on TV seemed to like it, but usually the geeky weirdos from those retro movies.
Vahn cast a downward look to Seidh, crinkling his nose at her question. "A kid asked me that once. The answer is still nothing." Vahn got tired of standing up, sitting himself on the ground cross legged with the container laying on his lap. "I like TV. I can watch people act like fools and they don't expect me to say anything back." He wolfed down another cupcake (see whut I did thar?), before thinking more about this 'hobby' business. "I don't get it. How can anything that takes effort be fun? ..Oh!" He stopped short, with a small gasp, snapping his fingers. "Except brushing my tail! That takes effort, and its fun." He nodded sagely before stuffing another cupcake in his mouth, looking proud. "So yeah, my hobby is brushing my fur, and watching TV. And sleeping." He would never admit this to the crazy red head.

The teen had just a bit more confidence to look at Vahn a bit more without wanting to turn her gaze away, so she waited curiously for the answer to her question.
When he mentioned something about a kid, Seidh took a moment to think about that. She recalled Fremere coming back from the mall with mother one day when they were children…he talked about a ‘friend’ he had made…a wolf boy…who was hanging out at the mall because his dad made him. Was this…? “Because…if you don’t put effort into it…then what you…get back from it is meaningless…like watching television all the time.” She tilted her head when he talked about brushing his tail as a hobby. Really?
The frown on her face deepened. “…That…sounds more like a chore…than a hobby.” She commented quietly.

"Think so?" He asked with a hum, licking the frosting from a cupcake, seeming to be getting full of the confections. "Caaause I feel fantastic watching television. You have really dumb ideas." He said callously, finishing off the cupcake he had just licked the frosting off of.
"Hobbies sound complicated." He huffed, tossing the empty container aside. He made an irritated face, leaning his elbow on his knee and cupping his chin with his hand. "TV isn't a hobby, Brushing my tail isn't a hobby!" He huffed again, cleaning in between his teeth with a claw. "Why so many rules?"
"So tell me, chiccy, what do you consider a hobby?"

Seidh’s lips twisted a bit, whether in slight agitation now or the fact she was being insulted for having ‘dumb ideas’, or maybe it was all of the above! She turned her gaze away from the teen as a few ill worded statements passed through her mind. It wasn’t good to be mean…
“…Do you really feel fantastic?” She questioned after a moment. “Because…when I watch too much television, I feel like I don’t have a mind.” The teen replied quietly, possibly starting to rebound from the small bout of angst she had earlier. “They’re not rules…you…just don’t…have any hobbies it seems.” The teen paused once more before listing off some. “Baking, reading…writing, drawing…crocheting…swimming, running, taking pictures…” She thought about Quint as she listed off that one.

"Yep." He answered flatly. "Or at least I would if people weren't nagging me all the time." He growled in a mutter, picking his teeth again. As far as he was concerned, he was perfect. It was everyone else that was annoying and flawed. Where did they get their dumb ideas about how to live ones life?
He stared at her intently, his judgmental glare staying firm for a long while. Finally he huffed and leaned back on his hands. "So! What you're saying is, if I do one of these.. hobby things, people'll leave me alone already? You, Donovan, the crazy redhead?" He stood up suddenly, seemingly focused on a goal. "Okay. Fine. I'll show you I can do whatever, easy! And i'll be exactly the same person I always am. Fantastic feeling person." He said defiantly.
He picked up the container he had so carelessly tossed to the side. If there was one moral he stuck to, it was keeping the environment clean. Go figure. "So, chiccy.. or uh, what's yer name?" He asked finally, "Take me to these so called places that have hobbies. A free one. I don't have money."

Right now, Seidh didn’t know whether she should be crying, angry, flustered or just…laugh. He was blunt, that was certain, but it wasn’t like a Quint kind of blunt. It was bad. Just bad.
As he stared at her intently, she actually stared back; her black eyes narrowed a bit as she looked incredulous. “Um…” She started softly. “Not trying to be rude…” Unlike him. “But…you are the one who approached me first.” How dare he insinuate that she was bothering him! As soon as he said crazy red head, that confirmed her suspicions. “He’s my brother.” She informed him quietly, but blinked in surprised when the wolf teen seemed suddenly determined to…challenge her?
“Whatever…?” Anything? Maybe she should challenge him to try learning to rollerblade then. She seemed thoughtful until he spoke up once more and she looked up at him. “It’s Seidh…” She answered and took another moment to think where he could learn…oh! The book store. Seidh took a moment to grab her nearby bag and took her boots out of them. She slipped the rollerblades off and tucked them away, then slipped into her boots. Couldn’t go into the book store with rollerblades on after all. She stood then, and held out a hand for the container that was hers. “Alright.” She agreed.
