xxxxxIt was a lovely afternoon: the trees were lush, the sky was a lovely shade of blue, the ground felt soft under her hooves. Uhra moved quietly through the brush, going on one of her daily exploration trips. Her ears wiggled a bit, looking around, trying to find something to do. Soon enough, she'd try to find herself someplace quiet to lay down and eat, but right now, she was enjoying wondering aimlessly around. It was nice out, and the cool breeze felt great along her blue mane. She closed her eyes, letting out a soft sigh of relaxation.
xxxxx That was until she heard a loud noise from her left. Her eyes snapped open, and Uhra focused on the large grizzly that was bellowing toward her. Her ears pinned back, and she made a startled noise, backing up several feet. Her back hoof hit something, and when she turned to look, there was two small cubs, crying out for help. Uhra's eyes flashed back to the grizzly, who bellowed again, and started toward her quickly. The little horse let out another frightened noise, and tried to find a place to run, but her body was stiff, frozen from fear.
xxxxx"O-oh... God..."

"Always keep on your toes! Never know when someone could be in need of help."[/color[ Avenger spoke to himself since he was roaming around the area. He had always helped foals, familiars, or other creatures in the lands close by. His eyes watched as a little monarch butterfly fluttered by.. He smiled, he was always happy to see that spring was now and everyone was waking up from their long winter sleep.
A bellow rang out into the air, his ears perking up as he felt the time to help someone was now. He galloped to the spot where the mother grizzly and two cubs were. He never expected to find the mare of blue and white to be attacked by them. "Never fear! Avenger is here!" He called out as he headbutted the bear in the side. "This mare means you no harm! Leave with your cubs and everything will be better." He said calmly to the bear.
As if magic had happened, the bear nodded silently then moved along with her cubs. He looked back to the mare with a smile then a bow. "You alright there, miss?" Asking as his blue eyes looked over her.

Uhra had settled with laying down, trying to seem as harmless as she could. Her ears pinned, her eyes closed shut, waiting for the pain of the slashing claws, the ripping teeth. She could feel the cubs behind her crying out, and moving away from her. What she didn't expect was to hear a voice from the side. Her ears perked, and she opened her eyes slightly, to stare toward the stallion that seemed to have no fear. She let out a small gasp, worry taking over her form for the male, before she watched as the bear and her cubs seemed to flee the scene. Her eyes flickered back toward the stallion, before she absently nodded her head.
Standing slowly, her legs feeling wobbly as a foals, Uhra started to almost stumble toward him. She had to thank her savior, after all. She just felt so weak. The fear had sucked everything out of the small horse. She looked up toward him some before stopping her movement, and nodded her head, taking a shuddering breath, her body quivering. "Th... Thank you, Sir... I... I think I am okay... Just... shook up, is all..." She whispered, her eyes flickering, before locking on him once more.

Avenger smiled as he saw that the mare was unharmed. He noticed that she was really shaky from the bear attack. "It was nothin'. I'm here when ever someone is in need." He said with a grin as he moved close to her to make sure she wouldn't fall over. He motioned her towards the shady tree that was close by. "It's best if you lay down instead of walking around. What's your name?" He said with concern as he smiled at her lightly.

Uhra blinked, listening quietly to him, before her head nodded. She shifted carefully, her limbs still shaking, before she moved as best and carefully as she could to lay down in the shade. She stared after him, eying his features as carefully as she could, trying to find out what was going on. She remembered the bear, but wasn't sure too much about the stallion. Her eyes flickered to his bright blue eyes, all the way to the long yellow locks from his tail. She tilted her head for a second, before looking down.
"... Thank you... I... My name is Uhra..." She said, her ears flickering, long mane falling about her shoulders and legs. She looked up toward the stallion, watching him with bright golden eyes. "You said... your name was Avenger... right? If I heard right..." She whispered, ears flickering again.
