So my psychology teach made a passing comment about how people on the spectrum may be odd, or weird or creepy or have strange thoughts and how people may not wanna work with them. ( before anyone jumps on him, please dont, he isnt a mean or bad teacher he's a bit on the old side and isnt really informed on this particular subject) At first I was incredibly upset, more than anything because all I could think about was how someone in that class may meet someone on the spectrum someday and think back to what he said and be influenced by that and how...well, that sucked. I wanted to say something to say that its not true and that those arent words to be used to describe anyone. But as usual when I got upset I couldn't talk. (i cant get words out when i get too upset, i dont know if its aspergers or just my own anxiety) After a couple of days I decided what to do, I picked one of my classmates, and after class I told her that what our teacher said wasn't really true. I needed at least one person to know that. Now I'm happy that someone's aware as well as the fact that my classmate was incredibly understanding about it, I can't really tell anyone since no one I know knows about my asperger's -or even what asperger's is- so I thought I'd share the anecdote with..anyone who may stumble on it. ( I hope thats not against the rules of the forum or anything) Also if anyone's ever had the chance to imform someone about asperger's you can post it here.

i have aspergers. in my old secondary school... i told some friends about it. some " friends" were not very nice. that made me frustrated for a while. but... Some were.'... so it was ok. I guess some people just despise people who have aspergers.
