I have this cat who sheds profusely, and there is hair everywhere all the time because of it. Anything I can do to stop this horrible shedding? She's not even long haired she's a standard American short hair. If you pet her hair flies everywhere.

I brush mine everyday *all short hair*, have Omega 3 fatty acids in their diet *like tuna, sardines, or salmon*, and have them on grain-free diet. Since I started to do this they shed less, dont/less have dry skin, and they have shinier coat. You might have to change their diet for it to get better.

i gave my cat a bath with some fancy kind of cat shampoo and he stopped shedding so much. or you could start investing in lint rollers

I actually find my standard short hair sheds a whole lot more than my long hair. I suggest a good brushing at least once a week, if you can daily (I try but never end up doing it that often). Also a good diet like xXGabriella-ShadowfireXx suggested can help. I too have noticed since I switched to grain free that my cats all shed less often, also as an added bonus my long hair doesn't have hairballs quite as much either.

My cats hate to be brushed. But brushing is the only option I can think off.
