Most important childhood memory: She remembers defending a boy against some bullies. He was walking home from school and they were beating up on him and calling him names, like, he wasn't a real man and stuff.
Why: That boy's name was Tonny Chai. He was a classmate of hers, but they never paid any attention to eachother. After that, they did and he protected her against bullies too who'd insult her, because since she was poor, she had to wear the same things over and over again. They became best friends.

She butts heads with him sometimes, since he's old-fashioned and not really patient. She made her do chores strange ways, like, she had to fetch water, while wearing a turtle shell.
