Mezame stopped running and skidded to a stop, she looked behind her and saw Amie catch up. The pokémon she were carrying seemed to be struggling and causing her grief. After the initial surprise of being picked up, the bulbasaur seemed to notice the danger of the waves and luckily for Mezame, was cooperating. The petitlil chose that moment to shot another bright orb into the sky, Mezame looked away and closed her eyes, since the brightness was unbearable to look at. "Hey!" Mezame yelled at the petilil "If you don't cut it out we're all gonna be washed out to sea!" Mezame wasn't sure the pokémon was even listening or could even hear her. "Bulba! Bulbasaur saur!" The bulbasaur yelled as well. Mezame wasn't sure if it was agreeing with her or trying to instruct an escape plan or something. "You're right." Mezame called back to Amie. It wasn't safe and they couldn't stay there much longer. Route thirteen wasn't far now. "We're almost there, c'mon we can get onto route thirteen in no time if we hurry!" Mezame started running again and quickly came up to the last stretch of wooden bridge. Skidding round the corner Mezame could finally see grass. Although being on solid ground was better than being on that wooden bridge where water was all around, they were still too close to the sea. Mezame looked around wildly wondering if she should run as far in land as she could and risk still being hit by the waves, or carry on until they got off this route as well. But she was tired, cold and wet from the rain and sea spray. Mezame stopped and gave Amie a chance to catch up. She looked out to sea and could see yet another huge wave forming, it was coming in slow, but it was building to bigger heights than any others she'd seen so far. Mezame was about to start running again, but they would have to run along the sea shore before they would be able to get a safe distance in land. And next to her was a cluster of dense forest that looked impossible to get through. Looking back out into the sea, Mezame could see the wave was picking up speed and she was beginning to panic. Out of ideas she looked over at Amie and yelled "What're we gonna do!?" "Wait!" Mezame yelled, as she spotted a gap in the thick trees, just big enough for them to fit through. "Follow me!" She yelled with a final look back at the wave. Mezame gulped as she ran for the trees and dived through the hole, hoping with all her might that Amie would make it through with the other pokémon before the wave crashed down on the shore. Mezame crashed into a grassy clearing and sent a small flock of pidgey fluttering away and back into the trees. Bulbasaur flew out of her arms as she hit the ground but the pokémon rolled to a safe and somewhat more comfortable stop.

Amie continued to run while still trying to hold the two pokemon in her arms. The Petilil still was struggling around in her grip, but she had a good enough hold on the pokemon to keep it from being let go. She tried her best to keep up with Mezame, who said they were close to route thirteen. Amie felt relieved as she saw grass and a trees ahead of them, thankful that they could get away from the sea soon. She watched as Mezame rounded a corner and told Amie to follow her as she dived into a space between a cluster of trees. Not wanting to be left behind or get hit by the giant wave forming behind her, Amie dove into the trees, the wave crashing right behind her as she barely made it. She knocked into Mezame's back who was stopped in a clearing. " Ouch..." Amie muttered to herself taking a moment to recover. " Everyone ok?" She then asked looking around at the pokemon and her friend. It didn't look like anyone was injured on the outside at least, so that was a good thing. The Petilil was still wiggling around in her arm, so now that they were on land it would be ok to let them go. " Fine, fine." Amie said a little annoyed as she let the Petilil jump out of her arm and set down the calmer Cherubi. Petilil dusted herself off after she had a firm footing on the ground. ' Pet, petilil petil.' She said calling over the other grass pokemon over to her. Once the others were around them, a small conversation started among the grass type pokemon. Amie wasn't really sure what they were talking about so instead she took a moment to catch her breath. There was too much running today and she was feeling exhausted. Taking a look up to the sky, Amie saw the the sky was clear hear mostly. Not raining and not the intensity of heat that sun had before. It felt nice, or at least nicer compared to what was on route twelve. She also noticed as she looked up at the sky that the sun had moved a lot since that morning, maybe it was almost noon. " How about lunch?" Amie asked Mezame. She was getting a hungry and that run before had added to that hunger. Plus just having some time to rest would be good enough for her. The clearing seemed like a good place to rest too since it was pretty quiet there. Besides a few small wild pokemon, including the group they had rescued, the two would have the place to themselves.

Mezame pulled herself up to her knees and dusted herself off a bit. "That was close." She moaned rubbing her forehead and sighing in relief. The grass pokémon had gathered for another discussion it seemed and Mezame was surprised they hadn't run off. Mezame took the opportunity to check her own pokédex for information since she couldn't hear a word that Amie's had said when she checked hers. "Petilil, Cherubi and Bulbasaur." Mezame repeated as she closed her pokédex and put it away. "Bulba?" Bulbasaur asked, looking over at Mezame as it heard it's name. Mezame giggled a bit. "Nice to meet you Bulbasaur." Mezame smiled. "Saur!" Bulbasaur responded with a closed eyes smile before turning it's attention back to it's group. Amie's mention of lunch sent Mezame's stomach growling. "Good idea." She agreed. "This clearing seems like a good place to get a fire going. Might help us dry off again too." Mezame said taking off her soggy jacket and hanging it on a tree branch. Reaching to her belt Mezame retrieved Starly's pokéball. "Come on out Starly." Mezame requested throwing the ball up in the air. "Sta-Starly?!" Starly asked questioningly, probably wondering why it's trainer was soaked and they were in a forest clearing when last it knew they were on a route with a little rain. "We ran into a little trouble." Mezame told her pokémon. "Could you help me find some dry wood while I find some stones for the camp fire?" "Starly~" Starly agreed flew off into the tree's. "Thank you!" Mezame called as Starly disappeared. Mezame set about collecting stones and rocks that she assembled in a circle safely in the middle of the clearing, and of course a safe distance away from the grass pokémon. The grass pokémon group stopped talking and watched as Starly flew into the forest but quickly went back to their discussion. At least they didn't seem threatened by the humans at all. Maybe they understood that Amie and Mezame had saved them? Starly came back with a bunch of twigs covered in some dry foliage in it's beak that Mezame was soon able to get a fire going with. She pulled out her cooking pots and water container and got some water boiling. Mezame sat back and watched the water simmer, pack of instant noodles ready to be added and cooked up once the water was heated. "Staaaarly." Starly sang to get Mezame's attention. "Whats wrong Starly?" Mezame asked, wondering why Starly's voice sounded muffled. Starly perched on Mezame's knee and dropped something in her lap, Mezame picked it up and looked it over. "Is this...? A pecha berry?" "Lee, Starly!" Starly replied happily. "Can you show me where you found this?" Mezame asked standing up with Starly in her arms and let it go so she could follow it. Starly lead her to a near by bush that was covered with the juicy sweet fruits. "Well done Starly!" Mezame praised and hugged her pokémon. She picked a few handfuls of berries and brought them back to the others. Sitting back down by the fire Mezame added the noodles to the now boiling water and while they cooked, reached into her bag for her pokémon food bowls. Mezame opened up the normal type food and added some to both bowls, putting less in one and then topping it up with the flying type food. "Here Starly. This is yours." Mezame smiled, placing the bowl on the ground and putting a few berries on the side. "Starly! Starly! Leee~" Starly called happily and got stuck in. Mezame separated some berries for herself and Amie, and of course some for her Abra and some for Skitty. The rest she took to the little group of grass pokémon and placed them down in the middle of their group. "In case you guys are hungry too." Mezame smiled and went to serve up the noodles. Mezame handed Amie a bowl and before finishing up her own, unclipped Skitty's pokéball. She hoped the hyperactive pokémon wouldn't disturb the other pokémon too much. "You come on out too Skitty!" Mezame called rolling the pokéball along the ground. Skitty popped out with a happy "Nyaaah!" and was instantly distracted with chasing its own tail before falling onto it's own face. Mezame giggled and placed the bowl of normal type food in front of Skitty. "Here, try some of this!" Mezame told it, and Skitty didn't need telling twice. The food was devoured by the little Skitty who promptly fell asleep as soon as it was all gone. "Well that turned out okay." Mezame smiled settling down to finally eat her own food.

While Mezame went to set up lunch and a fire, Amie decided it would be a good idea to sit and keep an eye on the group of pokemon huddled together. She also let out her Abra, who went to go sleep under a nearby tree. They were definitely calmer than before. She didn't have any idea what they could be talking about. Maybe it was how they were going to thank the two trainers for rescuing them. She had only received a very grateful look from the Cherubi, but nothing from the Petilil, who ignored her after getting on the ground. Didn't she at least deserve a thank you, Amie thought to herself. Looking around the clearing again, Amie wondered if there was anything she could do besides watching the pokemon. It looked like Mezame had already begun boiling some water and the noodles she was just putting in it smelled good. Lunch would be good today, Amie thought to herself with a smile. Shuffling through her relatively dry bag, Amie pulled out a small clear zip-locked packet. Inside could be seen pieces of a baguette pulled apart that Amie had taken earlier today from the pokemon center after she saw how much Abra had liked them. She got up and walked over to her seemly asleep pokemon. Once she pulled out a small piece of the bread, his head followed the piece until she handed it to him. " A snack before lunch." Amie told him as he munched on it. Turning back around to check on Mezame's progress, Amie was surprised to see the group of grass pokemon behind her staring up at her. While the other two were quietly waiting for something, the Petlitil was more yelling at higher pitch 'Pet Pet Pet'. It took her a moment to realized that they weren't really looking at her, but at her bread that she was going to put away soon. " Oh, you three can share this." Amie broke up a piece up into threes hoping that that the pokemon could share like this. They each took their given piece, happily moving back to a distance they were at before. She was still kind of annoyed at the Petilil's attitude, but hearing that Mezame had finished lunch put her mind at other places. Amie walked over to the fire pit, her Abra following behind her at the mention of food. She saw the Pecha berries divided up and picked up a few to have later. Before she went to go get a bowl, Amie pulled out some psychic type food packets she had bought back in Celadon. It had been a few days since she bought it, since she mostly let Abra share her meals, but since they weren't close to any places where she could make sure he didn't get sick or anything else on people food, generic pokemon food would have to do for him now, along with what ever bread he wanted. She opened up a packet for Abra and gave it to him, happy that the bags were portioned sized depending on the weight of the pokemon. The grass group seemed to enjoy the pecha berries given to them. The small group split the berries between them, saying they must get along pretty well. Amie also noted that whenever they talked amongst themselves they never seem to be angry at the others, expect for the Petilil who seemed to lead the others and yell now and then at the other two and towards the two trainers. Taking a bowl from Mezame, Amie thanked her before going back to sit next to her Abra, who had taken a seat near the fire. Seeing Mezame's pokemon she felt lucky, Amie probably wouldn't be able to handle two very active pokemon. She was happy to have a quiet mellow pokemon like her Abra. Slurping some of the noodles down, they were pretty ok for instant noodles, not tasting bad like cheap stuff like that normally did. But she wasn't really sure if this was the cheap stuff or if Mezame just was good at cooking.

Mezame finished up her food and leaned back against a tree feeling full, content and a bit drier for setting next to the fire. Skitty was still sleeping soundly and Starly was once again curled up in her lap relaxing and seemingly listening in on the grass pokémon chatter. Mezame wondered what they were talking about, but even if she asked Starly she wouldn't be able to understand what was going on. "Neeeyaaaah~" Skitty yawned and sat up sleepily, looking around curiously. "You have a nice nap Skitty?" Mezame asked smiling sweetly. Skitty tilted it's head to the side. "Nyaah!" Skitty agreed and entertained itself playing with a leaf. "Aww cutie!" Mezame squealed. Skitty flipped it's leaf toy into the air and it landed on Mezame's lap, Skitty, without hesitation, leapt right into Mezame's lap and into Starly. "Staaaa!" Starly squawked in surprise and fluttered up on to Mezame's shoulder. Skitty tried to leap after Starly but Mezame managed to catch it. "No Skitty, Starly is your friend, not your play thing, understand? Be nice!" Mezame scolded. "Nyaaah!" Skitty replied waving it's stubby arms towards Starly, trying to reach the bird pokémon. Starly was not happy about Skitty's antics and as Skitty reached out to Starly, Starly decided it was time to show Skitty who was boss. Starly flicked it's wing out and whoosh swung out an air cutter attack. Skitty was blown out of Mezame's hands and hit the floor with a thud. "Nyah-ah-ah." Skitty moaned. "Starly." Starly said, folding it's wing away and turning it's head away to look up at the sky, in a huff. "Starly, you shouldn't attack Skitty like that, just because it's annoying you!"Mezame exclaimed. "Skitty! Are you okay?" Mezame asked learning forward to get a closer look. Skitty sat up and shook it's head to clear the dizziness of the surprise attack. Then, tilting it's head, one of Skitty's already squinty eyes shut tight in a wink and a smoky pink heart appeared and floated towards Mezame. "Whoa!" Mezame cried and leaned sideways to avoid it. However, the heart hit Starly head on and Starly's stroppy demeanour changed completely, it's eyes grew big and watery, and without warning Starly fluttered off into some bushes, quickly returning with another pecha berry that it placed in front of Skitty. "Nyaah!" Skitty cried happily and munched on it's extra fruits. Starly sat by and watched happily. "What on earth has gotten into you!?" Mezame wondered. She reached around for her pokédex. Attract. If the target is the opposite gender of the Pokémon who launched the move, the target becomes infatuated. Pokémon of the same gender are not affected, along with genderless ones."Whoa..." Mezame responded to the information given by the pokédex. "I guess that's pretty cool." Mezame said, not really sure what she thought of the situation. "Hey, does that mean?" Mezame stopped to think. "Starly, you're not a girl are you?!" Mezame exclaimed surprised. Starly ignored her and continued to watch Skitty eat it's berry gift. "No..." Mezame decided for herself. "Only a girl would pull such a trick to get what she wants..." Skitty looked up at Mezame with an innocent smile. "Nyaaah~" she cried cutely with a sideways glance at Starly before she finished up her berry. "Nyah! Nyah!" She said to Starly, who instantly took flight to find more berries. "Hey! Starly return!" Mezame yelled holding out Starly's pokéball. Starly faded to red and went inside it's pokéball. Mezame sighed with relief and turned to Skitty. "You better not make a habit of that." Mezame said sternly. "I'm sure Starly has learned his lesson now, so if you use an attack on him again I won't let you out of your pokéball, do you hear me?" "Nyah!" Skitty complained. "I know, I know he started it and the same will go for him too! So you better get along from now on!" Mezame told Skitty, she looked at the pokéball in her hand and spoké to it. "You hear that Starly?" She asked. "You can come out now." Starly reappeared and landed on Mezame's head, as far away from Skitty as possible. Now it was Skitty's turn to look away in a huff. Mezame picked up her batch of berries and gave another to Skitty and another to Starly. "Now lets all get along." Mezame smiled and ate her own pecha berry. Mezame's pokémon seemed to behave after that, it was clear they weren't fond of each other but at least they weren't fighting any more. Mezame knew she would have to try her best to keep Skitty under control, she knew Starly wouldn't dare do anything mean for fear of that attract attack. But that didn't mean Mezame could just let Skitty chase Starly whenever she felt like, when Starly was obviously not happy about that. "Whew. It sure isn't easy getting some pokémon to get along." Mezame told Amie. "I guess they're not a great match for friendship." Mezame supposed and laughed nervously. Mezame sighed, thinking she should probably pack away their things soon. "What do you think we should do now?" Mezame asked Amie before she decided on doing anything. She peered over at the grass pokémon, wondering if they would be okay.

Amie continued eating her noodles, taking her time to enjoy the meal and the weather. Abra had finished up his food and was starring off into the distance or maybe he was watching the fire, she couldn't really tell. Her food was quickly finished too and she let out a yawn. A filling meal, good or bad, always made her feel tired afterwards. She fell backwards unto the cool grass, placing her now empty bowl beside her. A nap sounded good to her, but she knew taking a nap would end up taking more time than she wanted to take out of their day. Plus, even if the ground was cool, it was still too hard for her to fall asleep on. A rustling sound caught Amie's attention as she looked over to her bag placed nearby to her. It had gained a bulge in the center that moved around making the noise that she heard before. Now confused, Amie got up and walked over to her bag, poking the bump with her finger. At the touch, it moved and scurried backwards out of her bag. Amie was surprised to see that it was the Petilil from before. " What are you up to?" Amie asked, confused about the grass type's motives. Maybe she should have felt more concerned about the fact that the grass type was looking through her bag, possible trying to steal something, but she didn't seem too bothered by that thought. The pokemon also came out of the bag with nothing in her hands or crumbs on her mouth, so Amie didn't think that that was the case. She was bothered by the fact that the pokemon was just randomly going through her stuff. ' Pet Pet.' Petilil said dismissively and started walking away back towards the other grass pokemon. Amie was already annoyed by the pokemon's attitude, but this irked her again. " Hey, don't just leave like that!" Amie stood up and told Petilil, her voice rising but not to the point of yelling. The Petilil stopped and turned around facing Amie. " Can't you at least pretend to give me a good reason for going through my stuff?" After that question, the Petilil turned away and continued walking towards her group. Tired of being ignored by the tiny pokemon, Amie said raising her voice a little bit more. " Hey I'm talking to you!" ' Petilil, Petilil!' She yelled and hopping around to face Amie again. Her face mirrored Amie's annoyed expression, seemingly tired of being questioned by the trainer. She jumped in the air and twirled around, glowing leafs formed around the pokemon then shot at Amie. ' Lil, Petilil!' Seeing the attack coming toward her, Amie got ready to dodge, but the attack was intercepted by black orbs. Her Abra teleported and appeared right in front of her, not tolerating an attack on his trainer. The Petilil looked less than thrilled about his joining into this as she released another array of leaves at him. At the second attack from her, the other two grass pokemon fled into the thicker bushes. Deciding that she had stood blank faced for long enough, Amie took action commanding her pokemon. " Flash and dodge!" Amie told him. Abra's body glowed brightly, Amie shielding her eyes to keep up with him, blinding the Petilil but the attack was already on its way to him, and even with him trying to dodge, the attack still hit. Amie was baffled when she thought that the leaves followed Abra before they finally hit him. She looked over to her Abra that was getting back up after the hit. " You ok?" Amie asked him, receiving a nod in reply as he stood back up. Petilil wasn't giving them anytime to rest as she let out another flurry of leaves at him. " Teleport behind it!" Amie getting an idea in her head. Abra heard and disappeared from his spot and reappeared right behind the Petilil, who hopped around to face the other pokemon. " Now use hidden power!" Being this close the Petilil couldn't dodge the orbs that hit her, but adding to the attack was the leaves that she sent out earlier. They hit the bulb pokemon in the back, originally aiming for Abra but since she was between them it hit her. After the two hits, the Petilil seemed dazed as it wobbled around. Amie smiled a bit, thinking about the battle and believing that she had taught the little pokemon a lesson. Reflecting on it, she couldn't remember what that lesson was, or if she was really mad enough to have this much of a battle about something small, even if the other one started it. She felt a little bit badly that she had pushed the battle this far. Amie got another inspiration, as she went over to her bag, still lying on the ground. Picking into one pocket, she pulled out a pokeball and ran back towards the other two pokemon. If she caught the pokemon, she might not feel so bad about that battle. Plus, this way Petilil would have to pay attention to her more at least. She threw the ball at the pokemon as it was enveloped in red light and she waited to see the results. Beep...beep...beep...Ding!Another smile crept on Amie's face as walked over to pick up the now still pokeball. Holding the pokeball in her hand, it dawned on her that this was her first pokemon she had really caught and the satisfaction it gave her felt pretty good. This was her first really accomplishment on her journey, other than starting it in the first place. Next she registered the Petilil on her pokedex, checking out her moves and a few other quick details about her new pokemon. There could be more time later to check the small stuff and she put her pokedex away. " Nice catch, don't you think?" Amie asking both Mezame and Abra for their opinions. Abra yawned in response and walked back over to Amie, letting her notice that Abra was scratched up from the battle. Once again Amie went into her bag, finding a potion inside for him. She bent down to his level and sprayed some of it on him. Abra flinched but the magic of the potion started to work as some of the cuts faded away. After that she wanted to bring out her new Petilil to heal her, but she thought maybe the pokemon would be a bit upset after just getting caught.

H was walking on route 13, he was hungry and cold but he did not stop. He was careful, he did not want to be seen or be attacked by wild pokemon. Charmeleon was walking behind H, he was carrying Horsea who did not look like he enjoyed the trip. H turned around. Horsea, he said. I need Charmeleon to do something for me, could you please go in here. H showed Horsea an empty pokeball, Horsea hesitated but then he nodded his head. H threw the pokeball at Horsea, the red light did not flash like usual and H picked it up. Then he looked at Charmeleon, we have got to eat something, he said. I am sure you can take care of that. Charmeleon just looked at H, turned around and walked away.

Charmeleon was looking around, he had to find food for himself, his trainer and the other pokemon. Suddenly he smelt something, he was not sure but it could be food, he started walking into the direction the smell came from and suddenly he heard a voice. Charmeleon hid behind a tree and saw two trainers, an Abra, an Starly and a Skitty. Suddenly H saw a fourth pokemon, a Petlil, it hid in a bag and looked like he was stealing food, one of the trainers tried to stop her but was attacked. The Abra protected his trainer and started fighting the Petlil, the Abra was knocked down but used teleport to attack the Petlil from behind. The trainer threw a pokeball at Petlil and after a few seconds the light stopped flashing and the girl picked up the pokeball. Charmeleon realized this was his best chance, the trainers and pokemon were distracted and it would be easy to grab one of the bags and leave before they noticed. Charmeleon started running, he did not pay attention to the trainers and pokemon but just grabbed one of the bags and turned around.

"Whoa..." Mezame said in surprise. "Nice catch Amie." Mezame agreed. Mezame thought to remember not to get on Amie's bad side. She certainly did well to battle that Petilil and catch it. "I bet it feels good to have another pokémon on your side." Mezame smiled. She looked around for the other grass pokémon but it seemed they had all ran away once Petilil and Amie started battling. Mezame was a little disappointed they were gone, she had wanted to get to know that Bulbasaur a little better. There was nothing she could do about it now though. Mezame looked around at the mess they had created and decided she really ought to put some of it away now. She collected up her cooking utensils and thought she would need to either find a river or something to clean them up, or wait till they got to another pokémon centre. Without paying too much attention, Mezame reached out for her bag and felt a tug at the other end. "Huh?" Mezame wondered as she turned around and tugged her bag back once again. "HEY!" Mezame yelled as she saw a big red...lizard thing trying to pull her bag out of her hands. "Give that back you dirty thief!" Mezame raged as she put both hands on her bag and tried to pull it away from the pokémon. Once Starly realised what was going on, he took flight and rapidly started to peck the thieving pokémon on the head.

" Thanks." Amie responded back to Mezame. She did like the feeling of accomplishment that came with catching another pokemon. She felt a proud of her Abra too, who had helped her with the catch. Now that things were calming down, maybe she would have some time to heal up her new team member and get to know the new pokemon. She squatted down and rummaged through her bag looking for another potion so that she could heal up Petilil, but stopped looking when she heard Mezame yelling about something. Amie stood back up, slinging her own bag over her shoulder. She saw Mezame having a tug-o-war, her bag instead of a rope, with a big red pokemon with a flame on it's tail. Even without her command, Abra had joined in on the action, helping Starly by blocking the burglarizing pokemon from escaping, now and then yelling at the red pokemon. Amie now realizing what going on joined herself. She stood next to Mezame and took a firm grip with both hands on the bag, trying her best to help pull the bag back from the thief.

When Charmeleon tried to run he felt something, he looked up and saw one of the trainers holding on to the bag. Suddenly he was attacked by a Starly and an Abra. Charmeleon looked around and saw he was surrounded by pokemon and trainers so the only choice he had was to fight. The second trainer joined the first one and tried to get the bag back, Charmeleon took a deep breath and fired a large flame right above their heads. He was careful not to hurt them because all he wanted to do was scare them. When the trainers tried to dodge the fire Charmeleon ran away with the bag. He ran for just two steps when the tripped, he fell on the ground. He got up and when he looked at the thing that stopped him he looked right in the eye of the Abra.

Amie fell backwards at the sight of the flame, letting go of the bag. She probably should have expected a fire pokemon to be able to do something like that, but she still was caught off guard by the attack. Now sitting on the ground, she patted the top of her head, panicking that some embers might still be on the top of her head. After making sure everything was still up there, Amie stood up to go look at what happened to the fire type. ' No need to steal.' Abra said calming down looking at the pokemon below him. He really didn't want to waste energy on fighting with this pokemon. He walked closer to the other pokemon, looking for where it was holding the bag. ' You look smart. Go find own food.' Abra told the red pokemon holding out his hand, hoping the pokemon would give the bag back, but ready if the pokemon decided to get aggressive again.

Mezame ducked as the flames flew over her head and she let out a small shriek of surprise. Her loosened grip on her bag cause it to be easily snatched away from her. Once the fear of being singed passed, Mezame was up on her feet and ready to run after the pokémon. Anger was starting to boil in her chest but it was subdued by the sight of Amie's abra apprehending the thief. Abra seemed to be saying something to the charmeleon and Mezame watched as Abra held out his hand to take Mezame's bag back. Mezame readied herself to bolt after the charmeleon in case it tried to run away again. For now though, she held her ground and watched with ever growing suspense at the unfolding of the situation. The tension in the air could be cut with a knife but even so Mezame started to wonder why a pokémon would so viciously steal things from others. Wild pokémon wouldn't do such a thing, there were plenty of berries around in this forest, wild pokémon would know where and how to find food. This led Mezame to believe that this charmeleon couldn't be a wild pokémon, it surely had to have a trainer. Mezame's expression toughened with determination. If ever she crossed paths with that pokémon's trainer, she would have a few words to exchange. Right now though Mezame had to concentrate on saving her belongings. Not just her food was in there, but all her personal items too.

Charmeleon looked at the Abra who stopped him. I am sorry, he said, but my trainer has got to eat something and he cannot eat berries like we do. I don't want to hurt you so if you just let me go you will never hear about me again. Charmeleon looked up and saw the blue haired girl, ready to catch him once he tried to run away. Charmeleon had to find a way to escape and suddenly he got an idea. Instead of passing the trainer and Abra he walked straight towards Abra and jumped over him.
