~ Raide Lowe~ "Life," Raide thought to herself, "Is great." And indeed it was for the young trainer. She was on her own at last, with two great Pokemon by her side, out of their PokeBalls in order to get to know each other. That was the idea at least. In reality, it was more like she had two Pokemon reluctantly following her, one of which could run much faster than she could, and another which would never hesitate to use its flames.... Against friend or foe it didn't matter. And that getting to know each other? That was more like them ignoring each other and their new trainer while brooding or rebelling. Whichever they felt like at the moment, it seemed. "Life," Raide amended, "Has potential." She was not an optimist, but it was not for lack of effort. The sun was beating upon her back and shoulders, most likely giving her farmer's tan an even more dramatic effect, and the planks of the bridge were creaking underfoot. Her only hope at that moment was that Cyndaquil would be smart enough to leave the wood untouched. He would not be pleased if he got himself soaked, and she would not be pleased to pay for damages or deal with a displeased Cyndaquil. Absently playing with the end of her newly singed haircut, courtesy of Cyndaquil of course, she remembered exactly how he said hello when he was in a decent mood. She turned to check on the Scyther. Raide could never tell when he was there or lagging behind. He tended to hover a few feet above the ground, and his wings were so quiet it was impossible to track his movement simply by listening. Now, his feet hung close to the planks, almost dragging. In fact, his entire posture looked like he was hanging instead of flying, as if his wings were the only things that were keeping him up. But barely. Raide had never known that a Pokemon could appear to be so deep in thought, or so depressed. Maybe capturing him was a bad idea... She contemplated the thought, before coming to the conclusion that he would have been just as bad on his own. She pushed the negative thoughts out of her head, decided that they would get to know each other somehow, even if they didn't want to, and continued north towards Lavender Town. Later, they would make it to the grass-type-gym, but that could wait for a bit. "Splash!" Raide was pulled from her thoughts as she heard her fire-type Pokemon fall and begin to struggle. Rushing over, she got onto her stomach and reached as far down as her skinny arms would allow. Luckily, Cyndaquil floated... But his fires were out. The trainer grinned and decided to take advantage of the opportunity. Scooping the smaller creature into her arms, she continued the journey. Scyther watched in almost disbelief, and Raide decided that life was pretty decent.

H was walking on the bridge when he heard something in the water. He looked down and saw it was just a Horsea who was following him so he did not pay any attention to it. A few minutes later H looked down again and he saw the Horsea was still following him, he stopped and the Horsea quickly hid under the bridge. H looked up and saw something which made him forget about the Horsea entirely, at the end of the bridge he saw two police officers coming his way. H did not know what to do but then he looked down and he got an idea.

Horsea, could you please help me, H whispered. Horsea carefully came closer, I have got some food in my bag, if you help me you can have it, H said. The Horsea listened while H told it his plan. A few minutes later Horsea appeared before the two cops. Do you think that Horsea made that noise, one of them asked. Of course not, the other one said, it is way too small, the sound we heard came from something bigger. Now, Horsea use smokescreen, H commanded. Suddenly smoke started to come out of Horsea´s mouth and H quickly started swimming away from the two police officers while they were still blinded.

H climbed out of the water, the sky was clear again and when H looked up it looked like the sun was shining brighter than ever. I am glad the sun is shining, H thought, it won't take long for my clothes to dry. Just as he thought that dark clouds started to appear above him and just seconds later it started raining. Great, H said to himself, now my clothes will never dry. I will try to find a place to stay while it is raining, H said, do you want to come with me Horsea? Hooooorsea, Horsea answered, H put his arm in the water and Horsea grabbed it with his tail, let's go then, H said.

H was covered in some kind of white web, he could barely move, he tried to reach for his pocket knife and after five minutes he finally found it. It took just a few minutes for H to remove most of the web but he could see white strings all over his body. When H opened his eyes all he saw was darkness, he grabbed Charmander's pokeball. Charmander, could you use your fire to show me where we are, H asked. Charmander held his tail in the air and H looked around. At first he did not know where he was but then H realized he was inside a giant tree and the entrance was covered with leaves. The next thing he saw was a small white package shaped like a Horsea, H picked it up and cut it open. Hello Horsea, he said when he saw what was inside but Horsea just looked at something behind H, he turned around and saw a huge pile of pokemon, all wrapped up in the same white web. What is going on here, H wondered. He grabbed his pocket knife and started cutting the webs.

Charmander woke up, his head hurt and he was dizzy but besides that he felt fine. He looked at his trainer, H was still sleeping and it looked like he was not hurt. Charmander got up and wanted to walk towards the river but suddenly he realized the ground was farther away than usual. He looked down and saw his claws where larger and his color had changed. He turned around and looked at his tail, his flame was larger and brighter than before. I wonder what happened, Charmander thought and he was getting a bit worried. He walked to the river and when he looked into the water he saw his entire body had changed. Suddenly he realized what happened, when he was fighting he evolved so he could beat Venusaur. He was trying to remember what happened when he saw a dark shape in the water, the shape was coming closer and suddenly Horsea appeared from the water. Charmeleon quickly closed his mouth and hoped Horsea had not seen the fire in his mouth. I am sorry, Horsea said. I did not want to scare you. You did not scare me, Charmander answered. I was just surprised to see you. You don't seem to be surprised to see me at all, he continued. Why would I be surprised to see you, Horsea asked. Charmeleon looked at Horsea and tried to find out if he was joking. I evolved, Charmander said. I think even my own trainer won't recognize me. That is right but I saw you evolve so I know what happened. Why didn't you help us when we tried to save you, Charmeleon asked. We could have used some help. I am sorry, Horsea replied. But I am a water type and I am useless against a grass type like Venusaur. Charmeleon looked at Horsea and saw he looked really sad. It is not your fault, he said. You would have been useless on the land anyway. He looked at Horsea if his words had cheered him up but it did not look like it had a lot of effect. I think I should go and look if my trainer is all right. Could I come with you, Horsea asked. It is my fault he got hurt so I think I should help you. He looked like he really wanted to help so Charmeleon picked him up and walked towards the place he left H.

Amie sighed. " It's just that you're so prepared and that's one of their motto's." She remembered that a group got together in Celadon so maybe there wasn't one in Saffron or it could just be that Mezame was more sheltered than she previously thought. At this point it, it didn't matter to Amie since she knew the girl wanted to learn more about the world. " You're probably right." She said thinking about how long they would be traveling and how having that amount of food was best. Amie watched as Mezame let out her Starly, beginning to walk onto the bridge and her own Abra following absentmindedly behind her. " Is it ok if we wait till we get to firmer ground before we start battling?" She asked Mezame while taking her first cautious steps on the bridge and noticing the water below them. Though it couldn't be that deep right now, she'd rather not have Abra or herself fall into it at any time. Though they hadn't walked very far, the sky got dark as thick clouds blocked the sun. Further down the route, Amie could see that it was definitely raining hard. " Nasty looking ahead." She stated wondering she should have bought an umbrella at one of the stores before she left. She squinted and noticed in the patches she saw before had the sun pouring through them. She gave at little sigh as she thought about how the rest of the routes would be.
