Introducing the little silkie chicks:
My boyfriend promised me he would get them for my birthday and he delivered. The one who didn't want chickens had named his before he even got home with them ( whee ). So the blue one is Jacob and I haven't named mine yet (suggestions are welcome. I was thinking Anemone but that might be too much name for a chicken.)
I'm so happy to have started my back yard flock. We've also being doing a lot of talk of maybe saving up to buy land since it's cheap here and then just building a house on top of it and then me staying home to work the farm <3 For now that's just a dream but it could come true!!

Haha, chick season! There were no chicks at the store when we went to get food for these little guys, but there were signs for them.

Oh yeah, sorry about that, I moved some pictures to a different folder in photo bucket and didn't realize they were posted anywhere. I'll fix them!

Lol, I have no life. I only work in the morning so lately I've been coming home, cleaning and then hopping on gaia for a few....hours >.> Plus we must have a lot in common.

I want to have chickens when I live in a non-apartment.
The rules are strict here though about where they can be kept.
