In ages long ago the fae people were one, a group, cohesive and whole, playful, mischievous, but certainly not evil, however troublesome they were. All kinds of magical creatures worked as one in a solid community. Then came the Schism. The fae split into two courts, the Seelie, and Unseelie. At first it was a simple difference. The Seelie believed that they should not harm others, they could play and cause trouble, but not harm. And the Unseelie, those whose games went far beyond, causing harm, pain, even bloodshed. The two Courts grew farther and farther apart, splitting, eventually fighting, until the Unseelie court left to find it's own lands. Centuries later these beings, these fae changed over time, eventually becoming what came to be called daemons. These daemons however did not forever enjoy their bloodlust, eventually they slowed, and even stopped their terrible crimes. Hundreds of years later the Unseelie approached the Seelie, wishing to join with them once more. The Seelie were suspicious, but finally it was decided. As a test they would have a marriage. The princess of the Fairy Fae, would marry the prince of the Crimson Daemons. If there was success among the couple, then the courts would reunite. However, if things went badly...war would be unavoidable between the courts...

--Profile Skeleton-- Gaianame: Name: Age: Gender: Race: Personality: Bio: Fae Appearance: Human Appearance: Other: -------------------------------Prince of the Crimson Daemons-------------------------- Gaianame: Zylo the Wolfbane Name: Drael Valdrizon Age: 1,832 Gender: Male Race: Crimson Daemon Personality: A calm, almost cold individual, because of his life among many bloodthirsty Unseelie daemons, he came to believe that life itself was a waste, he saw no point to much of existence, and he became emotionally stunted. Only occasionally could he truly experience something. He seeks excitement, trying to live, though he finds it difficult, he still strives for it. Bio: Raised by the darkest of the dark, with malice and bloodshed surrounding him utterly, he attempted to keep such darkness away, though it affected him even as he tried to avoid it. Because of his avoidance of such taint however, he was chosen for this marriage attempt, as he was one of the least bloodthirsty daemons. Fae Appearance: The Face of the Crimson Daemon PrinceHuman Appearance: Other: He carries with him multiple instruments and objects he has collected, items that he has found to let him live, however little that spark of life may be. -----------------------------------Princess of the Fairies----------------------------------- Gaianame: Paradoxial Mouse Name: Carmena Age: 1,700 Gender: Female Race: Fairy Fae Sprite Personality: Carmena is...stubborn. She refuses to admit to her being wrong, about anything. If you manage to get her to admit that, then, hey, she is starting to trust you. She, as most fae, is a prankster of sorts...not that you'd be able to tell at first. She starts out seeming completely innocent and quiet, though she becomes outgoing and mischeivious once she opens up to you. Bio: Carmena herself was raised, well, by parents who saw fit for nothing except for training to be a princess. Yeah, right. Like she'd actually take that. Really, she never actually bothered with her lessons. Nor did she go around with the other fae...she cared more to be off on her own, practicing her shape-shifting, or her singing. She was chosen for the marriage because the court thought that the girl was mischeivious enough that the match might actually work. Fae Appearance: Teeny Tiny Sprite Human Appearance: Her favorite Other: Carmena can shape-shift into HUMANOID forms. She just must return to her sprite form to sleep (unless she is touching someone of a different form) and...she can't exactly shift into clothes at the same exact time as she is shifting forms. She also has very light song abilities - they would be better if she hadn't skipped her lessons all those times.

A grand ball was held in honor of the coupling, and it was grand indeed. Held in an enormous glade, with dancing fae and slinking daemons at every turn, whirling and dancing as they examined one another, viewing their other halves for the first time in a long time. The glade was decorated in the normal fae manner, with bright colors and brazen decorations that flashed and caught the eye.
Drael stepped into the glade, calm and silent, remaining in his human form, crimson hair falling before his face, long braids extending down along his back. Drael's eyes, a sharp piercing green, scythed across the crowds with a chilling calm that frightened many, daemons and fae alike. Drael stepped into the glade, daemons and fae making way for him as he stepped towards the center of the ball, searching for the woman he was told he would marry.

I will sing my song
Carmena was standing in a corner of the ball in her favorite human form, not really wanting to be the center of focus with this many people. Of course, there were still eyes on her. Which, she supposed, should be expected. Her eyes did, however, search for this male she was expected to marry. Would he even be decent? She sure hoped so. She messed with the long dress she'd been forced to wear, not caring for the formalities.
I would love it if you danced along.

Drael stepped up to the small gazebo that was reserved for the 'happy couple' to dance on. Seeing no one he leaned against one of the twirling oak beams, folding his arms calmly and looking out across the dancing fae and daemons. He could see the bloodlust in the eyes of many of his kin, yet they had to hold back, they had been ordered to, and they would. Because despite their bloodlust, it was a fading feeling, passing like a breeze, and when it was gone, there was naught but emptiness. Which was why they had sought out their Seelie kin once more.

Carmena saw a male up on the gazebo that was reserved for her and...whoever she was to marry to dance on. "Must be him." She mumbled to herself, making her way through the crowd. Of course, it parted around her - mostly because half the fae wanted to see what was going on. She stepped up to the gazebo, not making any attempt to say anything as she observed the male.
I would love it if you danced along.

Drael turned as Carmena approached, looking her up and down calmly, sharp green eyes seeming to pierce right through her. He stood straight, letting his arms fall to his sides. He didn't say a word, didn't make a sound, and didn't blink once.

Carmena looked over Drael silently, not about to say the first word. She had no wish to, not at all. Her fingers, however, did comb through her hair, but it was obviously out of boredom, not nervousness.

Drael watched, silent and cold. It was a long moment before he finally spoke, a moment in which the many daemons and fae slowed, and finally stopped their dancing to watch the two. When he spoke, his voice was dark, deep, and soft, like black silk flowing through the air. "You are Carmena, correct?"

Carmena nodded. "That I am." She answered, her voice soft and melodic, as if she were singing. "I take it you are Drael?" She asked in response, her eyes still looking him over.
I would love it if you danced along.

Drael nodded once, green gaze locked on Carmena, boring into her eyes with a cold, almost unnerving calm.

Carmena's currently blue eyes locked back on Drael's, not minding his coldness. She didn't know exactly what she could say. There weren't any ideas flooding through her mind at all. Lovely. It didn't help that everyone was staring at them. Not at all. She didn't break her calm, but she really couldn't think of anything to say. She watched him now, wishing he would say something. "So."
I would love it if you danced along.

Drael looked out over the daemons and fae, frowning slightly, a few shuddered, the daemons took the hint and immediately started to return to their revels, slowly the rest joined. Drael nodded then looked back to Carmena, bowing deeply before rising, "It is a pleasure to meet you Princess Carmena." He said calmly.

Carmena curtsied in response as the others went back to their revels. No more making her nervous. "It is lovely to meet you as well, Prince Drael." She responded. Her eyes looked over him quietly still, not sure how to act.
I would love it if you danced along.
