She was propelling herself along mostly by sheer force of will, at this point, the pain in her side almost too much for her to bear. If the wound hadn't been severe before, Scylla's attempt at self-reliance had most assuredly made it worse. Her fuku was torn, full of holes in the stomach area, her top covered in blood from her nose, the skirt covered in blood from her belly.
Glasses, she reminded herself fiercely. Glasses and antlers. She was going to find out who had made her hurt, and she was going to make them suffer a thousand times worse than she was right now.
In ten minutes she had covered maybe half a mile on her own. If she were to be honest with herself, she should have hidden in an alley and called a taxi six minutes back. But hell if she knew where she was, exactly. She knew where she was going, and she knew it wasn't here, but she couldn't see street signs anymore. Breathing was hard, and she was dizzy with pain.
More than that, she was proud. She had failed on her own. She would make it on her own. She could have called-- who? Not her Court, they had their own wounds to lick. Not Virgo, who would have been her first choice for so long. Not any of the other senshi, those who were of the "White Moon." She was aligned with the Blood Moon Court, and they had brought their own pain on themselves.
Scylla had brought this pain on herself when she gave the Negaverser a chance.
Blood-slicked fingers clung to a loose brick, trying to drag herself forward, and instead she lost her purchase, tumbling to the ground where she gave herself a moment to breathe, frustrated.

As Elzo had sang to him two nights ago: 'Trololololololol red light district, you get to patrol it'. Elzo singing had been horrible. And since he wasn't fond of it, he'd left. To do just what Elzo had suggested. Patrol in the red light district. It was just easier that way. Sighing, Pollux had debated when he'd felt the power signals flaring out. When he felt his own brother's power go up like a goddamn beacon. But he'd made Castor a promise. To never come unless called. So Pollux had avoided it all. Even as he saw the fires. The monstrous shadow. He'd avoided it.
Even if doing so made him want to punch something. He felt useless avoiding it. Heck, more often then not he was feeling useless. His attack was weak. His fists did more damage then his magic. The sounds often he heard were not any that would require his attention here anyway. Not unless he wanted to get a case of herpes..or worse. But a trail of blood was much more attention gathering then any cry of distress. Following the trail was easy enough. Who ever had been hurt was bleeding..a lot. s**t, he might just find a body. Wouldn't that be his luck?
But it wasn't a cooling body that greeted him, is was a warm one, a moving one. A senshi body, eternal if the wings were anything to go by. A quick jog to their side and Pollux was in 'take care of s**t' mode. Problem? Senshi in critical state. Solution: Hospital. STAT. "You need medical assistance." He wasn't going to beat around the bush. "A real hospital judging by the amount of blood you've lost. Let me help you, it's still a ways away and unless your power is transportation, you won't make it."

There came the sound of footsteps on the cement, moving quickly enough, and the noise made her head jolt up in alarm. If the lack of focus in the dark-haired girl's eyes wasn'tt enough cause for the other senshi's quick observation of her state, maybe the colorlessness of her face had something to do with it. She couldn't get her eyes to focus enough to see who it was, but no Negaverse agent would be talking to a senshi in words that included the phrase 'medical assistance.' She blinked her eyes, trying to get them to focus.
"People hurt worse than me." she said at last, and her brow furrowed as she found a chunk of the wall and hauled on it. Pulled herself to her feet. The bow around her middle, a self-made tourniquet, was a dark purple from her blood. It didn't match the colors at the bottom of the ribbon at all. The other senshi was blue and white, and the voice was male. She couldn't' think of any males she knew with that particular color scheme, not off the top of her head. Then again she couldn't think of much of anything off the top of her head, right now. Standing was hard. It made her dizzy.
Were there people hurt worse than her? Oh yes. Dead littered the battlefield she had just come from. At least she was still kicking, and not the bucket-- yet. "I don't think I need a real hospital." her words were sluggish, her lips thick. Her nose was crooked, and it hurt, terribly. "They can sew me at the Red Light. Just a couple stitches, right?" Hope apparently sprang Eternal, no pun intended. "Right?" she leaned heavily against the wall. "I wish I could teleport. The Negaverse has it easy."
They could stab you with antlers and run away, and zoom pop to places, and the senshi couldn't.

Pollux couldn't have given two shits about others. Chances are they were dead or still in battle, and if an eternal was only getting away this damaged...he was not thinking going towards the direction of the fight would do him any good plus given the energy pouring from that area? HAHAHA, ******** that noise. The woman trying to walk was in need of help, and helping her wouldn't land him fighting for his life if he was lucky. She was weak enough that he could have probably grabbed her and tossed her over his shoulder like a bag of potatoes and she wouldn't have had the strength to fight him off. It was just that bad.
Blue and violet eyes were is stark contracts as one was wholely focused on her's and her own were hardly open. "You do, you've lost a lot of blood, and it doesn't take a genius to see you're loosing more as we chat." A hand reached out and moved to pick her up. "I can't see the extent of your injuries, but you need more then what any underground hospital can give you. Morphine and bed rest won't solve your blood loss or god knows what else." Grunting she was lifted into his arms ignoring the wetness of fresh blood soaking into his own fuku. "You're going to die if we try the underground, no the legally owned and operated facilities is what you need." Feet moved forward, pushing them onto the main streets, where Pollux didn't have to worry about taking a fall, or, about hiding. One good thing was that police would be heading to the wreck of where she might have come from, thus, giving him a clear path.
Years of track team, combined with the few and little jumping he'd been practicing were allowing them to cover a good amount of ground, but Pollux didn't want to pause. A life was fluttering in his hands, literally in fact. "By the way." He ducked into an alley, one short cut that would also keep them off the main road. "I'm Pollux, senshi of frost."

The senshi made a little noise as he reached out for her, grabbing her and tugging her close so he could pick her up. His hand felt warm, almost uncomfortably so; her own skin felt cool, clammy to the touch, and she tried to tug away. It wasn't a very successful attempt. "Don't you know?" she asked finally, not having the energy to struggle with the other senshi, "Only the good die young." the woman let her rescuer lift her up, trying to make sure he knew she was just letting him carry her, since she was so nice-- and probably failing miserably at her attempt.
He had very blue eyes. Why did almost all of her guy friends have blue eyes? "I don't like morphine." Scylla told him at last. "I don't want it. Something else." Why did he have to grunt when he picked her up? She wasn't that big! Still, she couldn't complain- he didn't seem to be having a hard time of it when he started off. Idly, she brushed at her blood on his fuku only once, then saw that the stain was only spreading and gave up. Her hands felt heavy, anyway.
They moved through the streets with surprisingly few bumps considering that he was running. Scylla could feel herself drifting off, losing focus, and the rumble of his voice in his chest startled her, made her jump. It was more of a little spasm, before she lifted her head. "Scylla." she said finally. "Senshi of the Kraken." It took her another moment to connect his name, and she cracked open one eye, tiredly. Then shut it. Her body felt too heavy to even lift a hand. "Nice to meet..." she didn't finish the phrase, breathing out through her mouth instead.
Her thoughts were becoming muddled. She tried to organize them, tried to...

Pollux sighed as she kept trying to act like it was no big deal, that she didn't look like she was walking to death's doorstep. Really? If she was able to talk it was a good sign at least, not that close to death. Yet. Yet was always the key term. "Look, morphine is the least of you worries. I'd be more concerned about death than-" She was going liper, her words vanishing. "Hey wait here, don't pass out on me. Stay awake." A shot of panic sent a wave of adrenaline pumping into his blood stream, his legs kicking into high gear. Dead senshi in arms, do not want. "Scylla? Kracken? Okay. Listen Scylla, don't die on me. Last thing I want is to tell my brother I found a dead senshi tonight. Hell, being dead is never a good thing."
Just a while more before the glow of the hospital could be seen, the blue street signs getting more and more frequent.

Silly Pollux. She wasn't going to sleep, she was- Her hand went limp, no longer clinging to him, her eyes drifting shut. All she wanted was to rest for a little bit. No one could blame her, It had been a traumatic day. People had died, and people were going to die, and she'd been... useless.
The lilac crystal was warm against her hand, tucked in her blood-covered glove. Well, maybe not all useless. One less crystal for the Negaverse, even though she hadn't grabbed the other one, hadn't kept it from Antlers.
Scylla went limp, dead weight in Pollux's arms, and the senshi's tiara and fuku faded away, too tired to maintain her henshin anymore. The girl in his arms wore dark teal athletic shorts, a white tank top that was slowly staining red and thick, crisp white socks pushed down to her ankles.
She deserved to sleep. Just a little. And then her world went black.

holding someone henshin down was..strange. The energy glow faded, flickered and just like that, it was gone. No way to know, no way to track. Without the fuku, the tiara, they blended in the the regular people, the civilians. They were back to just being faces in the crowd. But when you carried the limp form a senshi, and felt that energy flicker and fade, and had no idea what it felt like at so close...Panic. Pure panic. Pollux's heart quickened, the idea she was dying as he ran setting in. Faster, why didn't his legs move faster? He wished his speed could have increased even more then the typical boost the henshin gave him. It wasn't enough. She was going to die. She was fading. Her energy flickering, fading. Eyes were looking for short cuts. He was so close...to fail now..it would be unacceptable.
Then it was gone. Her energy signature gone, just like that. Shock stopped his feet, eyes went to look and then it was like ice water had been poured over him. The face, the hair, the softness of her weight...The girl who left him conflicted by existing. One who gotten him to care. Care to the point he'd opened too much, exposed himself too much. Jada, the girl he'd almost been in love with. Almost kissed. Almost gave himself for. Almost. Always almost with her, never beyond. And she was in his arms, warm blood soaking into fuku, eyes closed, body limp. If panic hadn't set it, it was now thundering in his body. Few things in the world made Marlo panic. Loss was one of them. Jada was...she was special to him. The idea that he could loose her, that he was about to loose her.
Feet thundered into the open streets. The risk of exposure be damned. The risk of being shot at disregarded. She was important to him. She made him care. He cared about her. Maybe too much, but he'd never admit it, not to her, not to anyone. Not even himself. Marlo, the man behind the mask of Pollux, cared. And in caring he cared just a little too much. Some things were too important to him to not care. Jada was one of those things.
In a flash, just outside the gaze of cameras, in the spot the street light didn't cover, Marlo picked up where Pollux left off, and it was Marlo who burst into the doors. Marlo who would later go home, shirt stained with blood. Marlo, who cared too much about Jada. Now, it would also be Pollux, who would care too much about a senshi who was more powerful than him. But more important to him then she even realized. More important then she ever would.
