I'd say both too... Cuz there are some things that only the japanese dubbed version has, and things that the english dub has. I kinda get angry at my friends who are all like, "I don't wanna watch more episodes, cuz they're not in english yet." It just makes me angry, even though I see their point. stare

I prefer sub..., because a lot of people like to sing... and CAN'T.... although some can.... so MAYBE both?? I like sub because I can listen to the beautiful voices of the Vocaloids, and know what they're saying at the same time. biggrin

I prefer subs, but some dubs are fantastic, so I'd say both.

Subs...Others can't do cute voices for cute animes...But the most perfect dub for an anime is Bleach!! The voices fit for all the characters!! It's really close to the Japanese version!! ^-^ And maybe Hetalia too...:3

I would I prefer Subbed to Dubbed...To the point I can't watch Bleach Dubbed =_=...But it just Depends on the Show I guess ((Or the Company that Does it)) But Hetalia is just an Awesome as A Dubbed "Who are you? I'm Canadia." XD

subs, since kid bad guys are usually voiced by the awkwardest females in dubs : P i.e. Selim Bradley from FMA Brotherhood

It entirely depends on the voice actors they've chosen to dub the anime. I usually watch the first episode of an anime dubbed in english and if I find it painful or a character's voice too inaccurate I switch to the original Japanese audio and throw on the subs. I did enjoy the InuYasha, School Rumble, Peach Girl, and You're Under Arrest anime's in their dubbed versions, but there are many more that I will not watch unless the Japanese audio is on.

I would have to say it depends complacently on the anime, there are things that i feel work better in English and things that i feel are better in Japaneses, for instance Animes like cowboy bebop and baccano must be in English and things like ninja scroll and Gurren Lagann must be in Japaneses. However English dubs are always a nice brake for that eyes and allows me to focus more on what is going on so then I can pick up more subtle things, that i would otherwise miss reading the text.

To tell the truth this is a really funny question for me because if you asked me when i first got into anime what i preferred i would have said Sub's hands down , but the voice acting business has come such a long way, that lately I really have been preferring the dubs. It is pretty rare now that i prefer a sub over a dub , I think that last anime a chose sub for was Gurren Lagann, not that i didnt like the dub there was just a certain quality in kamina's voice that the dun couldn't recreate.
