The reason Cody was in the shop wasn't all that surprising. Beautiful, shimmery colors of the rainbow were cast on the white walls and the street outside, augmented by the sunlight that streamed through the giant bay window. The glass objects within were just as many colors and shapes, lining the walls, ceiling, and shelves while leaving just enough room to walk around. As such, the fact that a greed spawn just happened to wander in simply by how unique the objects were, and how pricey, wasn't all that surprising.
The rainbows dyed his clothes varying colors, changing what once was blue jeans and a dark green shirt to purple and yellow. "Woah..." he muttered, mentally making note of where the shop was for future visits when he had more money. His and Edes' current apartment lacked color and any sort of personality in his opinion. Only his little trophies and prizes were scattered amongst the bare furniture, giving the room a beautiful aura at how rare the objects in question were but even that wasn't enough for him. The greed spawn was determined to fix that after discovering the shop.

On her way home after classes in the evenings, Cera always found herself drawn to the shop. The glass within called out to her, causing her to almost wreck countless of times. She had never seen anything like them before. Still, today was the first day she was actually going to attempt venturing inside. In most cases she would panic and leave, but she had a good feeling about today.
The first thing she did was place her slender hands on the smooth glass of the store front window. Like a toddler, she 'ooohed' and 'ahhhed' over some of the more prominent pieces before she straightened her spine and walked in. "Oh my goodness," she half whispered, half squeeled. A truly amazing accomplishment with her hand over her mouth. She would have let it go, had she not seen the shops other occupant perusing the wares.
Instead, she started to look over the objects herself, for once in her life looking at the item before the price tag.

It took Cody a long few minutes to finally notice that there was someone else not quite like everyone else. It took him an even longer minute to realize he actually sort of recognized her, though the spawn was definitely older than the kid he vaguely remembered. Picking his way around the displays to stand closer to her, he struggled to remember her name while pondering whether he should just say hello or try something else.
"What about that one? It matches your eyes," Cody muttered softly, suddenly appearing at the greed spawn's side to point at a light-blue single teardrop-shaped glass object hanging in the window. The sunlight shining through it cast a pool of the same, light-blue color onto the other objects and the barely showing table. He had been quiet, hoping to not startle her and cause the objects to fall and break. And yet, he still couldn't think of her name. Damn.

With her hands clasped behind her back, Cera bent over to look at a menagerie of figurines. She passed them carefully, as captivated by one as the other. When she stood once more, she realized that someone was talking to her, and in her mad dash to listen to him, she bumped into the table. A little golden giraffe bounced off the shelf and...onto her tail. Cera sighed. Thank God. Tenderly, she placed it amongst the rest of it's cohorts and turned to the speaker.
At first, it didn't register. She simply turned towards the object he was speaking of, softly 'oohing' at it's beauty. "You have good eyes," Cera replied, turning back towards him with her signature smile until it finally dawned on her who he was. She barely could just remember him, from a time when she lived with her old family.
Cera's hand shot up to her chest with a sharp inhale. "Cody? Is that you?"

Cody simply nodded when complimented, smirking a little as Cera caught the knocked over figurine before it could crash into the ground. Still had his sneaking talents, it seemed. He just hoped such sneaky tactics wouldn't eventually get him into trouble. Making so much noise seemed to be such a waste some days, and being quiet was almost second nature now anyways.
Grinning, he couldn't help but do a little bow when she recognized him at last. "It is I. You seem surprised, far more than I anyways. You've grown a lot since I last saw you, but at least you could remember my name. I'm sorry, but I honestly can't say I recall yours. Time has not been kind to my memory," Cody replied, looking almost embarrassed at this fact. Flashing her a soft smile, his gaze flickered back to the glass objects on display. So many beautiful objects and not enough money to buy it all. If only he hadn't promised Edes he'd stop stealing from stores, otherwise there would be one or two extra objects coming home with him unknown to anyone in the store.

Cera's smile couldn't have been brighter if she'd captured the sun itself, and turned it into toothpaste. Once her heart had calmed down enough for her to speak, she took a hesitant step forward to make up for her jump. "Alot of things have happened recently, and I'm constantly being surprised." She giggled. So many new growths, siblings, a wedding, and Aunthood kept her on edge most days, but to see an old friend? This was the best of all!
"It's alright, it has been a while. My name's Cera." She followed his line of sight back to the objects with an intensely greedy look. "They're all so beautiful, aren't they? I have a hard time believing that someone could have made these, and that they didn't simply fall from heaven."

Cody couldn't help but smile back at the radiant smile he was given. A ray of sunshine and beauty, she was. If he hadn't been gay and married, he vaguely wondered what his reaction to her might have been. Probably would have involved lots of blushing and stumbling over words. "Heh, I've just been having a strange time as of late, mostly involving being a hundred places at once it seems," he replied, glancing at her only to see she was eyeing the glassware with the same greedy look he had.
Cera... Yeah, that did seem familiar now that she said it. Memory was a funny thing some days. "Yeah, they are. Maybe the one who made them really did fall from heaven simply to create them for others. It wouldn't be that strange if you think about it," Cody continued, shoving his hands into his pockets in hopes of hiding his twitching fingers. Curse his impulsive stealing habits! Always getting in the way when he entered a nice store.
