GohanWinner First glimpse of the ep is back to the old style of teaser, where we get a clip of the action to come with a character narrating. With this sub chase and narration, we already know we're in for a ride. The theme rolls. It's still really bad and needs to be rechanged. The ep starts out calm, a happy day in the lair, until Leonardo is mentioned. All are worried about how long he's been gone. And then BOOM! The alarm sounds! What could it be? The Turtles are shortly told what, when the foot invades. Overhauled with sweet new threads. (The Elites look especially nice). The fighting is fast and furious and then the Shredder enters. All are at a loss for words. Karai informs them she is out for revenge. The fight continues. Splinter runs into his room to get Yoshi's orb, but Karai shatters it! (One of the most poignant scenes in my opinion) Somehow, Karai has become an uber ninja and hands Splinter his tail. The TUrtles decide to split up to get out! Don takes Splinter into the sub, Raph takes teh elevator and Mikey attempts to save Clunk and get out the front door. Raph is trapped in the elevator wiht three Foot ninjas, Don is ambushed by a bunch of Foot underwater fellows, and Mikey is just scrambling for the exit! The chase is on. Raph manages to get into the Battle Shell, and ram through the Foot blocking his way. Mikey gets into the Drill Tank (Which looks like Shredder's old drill tank from the ol' toon) and Don fights his way t hrough the seas! He even pulls a sting ray by hiding under the sand. Alas, he is not to be victorious! The sub is DELORTED! I mean blown up. Then, Raph zooms through the city, but he too goes boom!! And then ultimately, Mikey as well fails as a mech explodes him up good. Then Karai pays April a visit, informing her the turtles are dead, and to tell Leo this. April gasps at the "Sewer Sweet Sewer" sign in shambles given to her, one of the very few things to survive Karai's annihilation of the lair. The episode ends with Karai laughing maniacally as the camera zooms out. ...Oh, and the Ancient One tells Leo to get back as his family's in danger. Gohan, you are the man!

First off I gotta say that if this sends Leo back into his brooding depression... I'm gonna hurt somebody. Anyone else willing to form an angry mob? razz
Wow, just wow. I don't even know HOW to react to this episode! I mean... what's gonna happen? Where are they going to live now? I really liked that lair! And yes, these are the things I think about.
I can't say I'm really all that worried about them being dead considering we KNOW they can't be but there's always the chance for serious injury or something. And seriously, what kind of evil villain doesn't have her henchmen actually get the bodies? She's got a lot to learn about being a crazy badguy! Ruthless, evil and completely psycho? Yes. Thorough? Not so much. Of course this is good for us and all that but I'm just looking at all sides of the coin.
I am REALLY looking forward to next week's episode.

Agreed. Karai isnt the most knowledgable foe when it comes to bad guy stuff but she is ruthless Ill give her that.
The lair getting ******** over pissed me off. Especially Mikeys Battle Nexis trophy. He coveted that thing so much.
Klunk was sappy cute. Ss brother kept squeeing every time he appeared -_-
Speakin of which now he and S are pissed that Kirby tied with the '******** Up Cops' (his brothers term for them) in that Super Brawl thing. I sort of am too I mean Kirbys kinda cool and that Funky Cops was pure bullshit.

uh...i had to work, so i missed it...but i taped it...but because of stupid orlando tragic basketball f'ing up the airing of wrestling, some (or all) of this episode might have been cut off from my tape...but i've been so busy the last couple of days that i haven't been able to check. but i will tomorrow 3nodding

Wow. Just...wow. This ep blew my mind. I can't believe they destroyed the lair! It just...woah! Every single part of this episode was amazing. Animation, storytelling, coreogrophy, storyboarding, colors....
I'm just blown away at everything.
There's no question the Turtles survived, how is the question. I'm curious as to that...
I also wonder if they'll ever heal Leo's shell. Do Turtle shells heal? Anyway...if they do it'll probably be an unanswered animation tweak-thing. o_o;
So yeah, awesome episode! One of the best of the series.

Turtle shells do heal, and Mystic said she thought it looked like Leo's was healing but I didn't notice it. At that particular moment I was also watching from the kitchen though, and I haven't gone back to look yet.
I'll admit I was crushed when the lair was destroyed. I think it may be a combination of the fact that I just love the show and the fact that mine and Mystic's RP is now half a year and and it's our characters' homes but... *sniffle* I'm sad. cry

ok so my tape had most of the episode, but some stuff got cut off at the end. i got to the part after the last turtle's vehicle was "blown up" and then i think karai said something about Leo and they showed an aerial view of NYC. then my tape got cut off. uh...what else was shown after that? who gave april the sign? did they say the episode is "to be continued" or did they just end it as a single stand-alone episode? what was the preview for next week? anything and everything after that point where my tape cut out would be appreciated 3nodding

No Leo will not turn back to his brooding after next episode, if anything the next episode is the final step to his recovery, facing what caused his problems head on.
Yes Karai did accept the Turtle's deaths way to easily especially when compared to Shredder during season one who needed proof the turtles were dead after he burned and dropped a large appartment complex on to them.

Karai gave April the sign. She went into the shop all trench coat and hat like and told April to tell Leo she had destroyed his family... or that his family had been destroyed, y'know something like that. Then she left and April was all OMG! (And while this isn't important I would assume she called Casey... I mean that's what I'd do anyway.)
I honestly don't recall a "to be continued" bit but then again I was also sitting in the kitchen through a good chunk of the episode because Ryan has a fit if he makes me food and I let it get cold. xp
The preview for next week is the face off between Leo and Karai. It's pretty safe to say he's gonna be pissed and lets hope he kicks her whorebeast a**. And of course they didn't show any of the turtles that are presumed dead.
People all over the place are saying they feel sorry for Karai which I don't understand. Karai gets no love or pity from me!

I, too, was nuts over Klunk during the episode -- he's SO cute with Mikey . . mainly 'cause he's got Mike's colors (hmm . . orange tabby with green eyes . . poi-fect! ^_^)
We've already had the "she's stupid for not checking for bodies" bit done with, so I can't add that . . what can I add?? *takes a sec to check* Umm . . Okay . . I was also upset when the lair was destroyed -- mainly since I was sitting there silently cursing at Karai that her 'daddy' had to go and destroy the first lair with his mousers and then here she comes and trashes their new home. scream Karai, you go smack now!! stare
As for feeling any simpathy for the "whorebeast" . . I'd love to sick her comic version from City at War on her -- that'd teach her but good!! 3nodding As it is, we'll leave that fun job up to Leo totally and completely . . . maybe I'll make popcorn for the occasion??

I'm guessing during her "RAWR I'M PISSED AND MOPING" stage she did nothing but train and take steroids? Who knows! Creativerealms No Leo will not turn back to his brooding after next episode, if anything the next episode is the final step to his recovery, facing what caused his problems head on. *strokes beard* you bring up a good point 3nodding redemption! lady leo - thanks! i would have liked to see that scene with karai/april. oh well...perhaps i'll catch the rerun in the summer. oh and about karai taking steroids or being a man....don't make me post any Chyna pics blaugh oh and i forgot to mention in my last post that i've already been thinking/hoping for a karai in a shredder costume for the TMNT 4 game xd (i doubt she'd be a playable character this time around, but a villain karai in the outfit could be good)

S-X- Dual Personalities I actually liked Karai at one point, back when she was helping the Turtles out of scrapes that her daddy'd put her in. Agreed. When she was only a pseudo-enemy, I enjoyed her muchly. But when she became a daddy's girl...she really started to get on my nerves. Especially for treating them Turtles like poopoo!!
