Aureo thought that perhaps he had too much fruit. Scratch that, he knew he had too much fruit. After finishing off his last fermented fruit he had started to see everything in doubles. He tried to get his eyes to focus but to no avail. All he could do was laugh at himself. "Now this, this is interesting." After having so much of the fruit he started to find the most simplest task to be somewhat difficult. To himself he made a mental note not to have so much fruit in one sitting.
He stood up and started to walk in a swaying fashion. He told himself that he should probably start looking for a den, just in case he became unconscious. As he walked along the sand of the lake he noticed something shiny sticking up in the sand. He went over and examined it. Gently he dug it out with his paws. It was some king of gold crown. Maybe later he could trade it for some food or shelter. He put the crown on his head.
After checking to see if there was anymore treasure, Aureo continued on his journey.

It was amazing how many lions he ran into along the sandy shore. He had never seen many when he had traveled the savannah. But the ocean, he figured, just called to others. His eyes were focused, as he hadnt had any berries that day that had been left in the sun. No, he was compeltely sober and that in itself was enough to put him on edge. He'd find something of course, of that he was sure. So he kept his head high, a little sway in his step that had nothing to do with intoxication. His feather billowed in the wind, falling once it stopped blowing along the side of his cheek. It tickled, and he sneezed, sniffing a bit and then straightened up.
He watched the other, as there was no way to miss that bright pelt among the white beaches. He stood out almost like a elephant among a herd of zebra. He wondered if he should approach.. He was recruiting, and so he knew he should make his way over. However he truly didnt want the socialization. But deciding his crewmen were more important than his reservations, he continued forward.
"Evenin' mate."

Aureo looked at the lion talking to him. He was sure there was only one of him, unless he had an identical twins. He hated when he saw doubles! "Good evening to you too!" He hadn't seen any lions today, though he found that he had missed a lot of things today. He looked over at the ocean and smiled. "It's amazing out there isn't it? Sometimes I wish I could just live in the water."
He laughed at himself for being such a dreamer. Of course it would be fun for to live there, but he was sure he would get tired to it after a while. "My name is Aureo. I am a traveler." He was interested in what the other lion did or where he came from. He had admired the lions trinkets that he wore and wondered where he got them from.
