The day was like any other spring day. Small shoots poked through a still chilly ground, which despite the weak sunshine refused to warm. The air was warm, not too cold yet not too hot, though the cool breeze led the mare to the false conclusion that it was colder than it actually was.

The pink Soquili bowed her head and nibbled on a small patch of grass. The taste was strong and brash, yet it was refreshing after the dried out, often wilted plants that she had been confined to over winter. The occasional flower found it's way into her mouth, sending new flavors dancing across her tongue. Some bitter, some sweet, others a strange combination of both.

Stretching her wings idly, the mare contently raise her head whilst she chewed. The day was pleasant, true, but some company would be nice.
