• • • NANAMI KOYAMA  For Nanami Koyama, the following two years were much like all of the others. Her business has been going well, her relationship with her daughter has been better than ever, and she has been enjoying her thirties with everything she has.
With Haruka's recent graduation from high school, she found herself with more time to herself, as her daughter becomes more independent. This has made her a little lonely, but at the same time she has tried to take advantage of her added bit of freedom to develop the friends she has (notably Gemma) and to get to know her employee a little bit better.
The past eighteen years had been about providing for her daughter, so now that her role as a parent has lessened somewhat, Nanami's been focusing on making herself happy. She still refuses to let Haruka move out, though.

• • • YUUTO KOYAMA  Ahh, Yuuto, the boring, the unimpressive. It should be no surprise to anyone, anyone at all, to learn that the following two years were just as boring and unimpressive. He moseyed through those two years, teaching the same students, avoiding Judith, and getting to know the new teacher. His relationship with his sister and niece went unchanged, though he finds it easier to talk to both now that he's not Haruka's teacher. Everything's the same, he's still the same dull man as before.
But wait! That's not to say that nothing has changed! Yuuto managed to nab himself a girlfriend! They met while he was in the States to celebrate his mother's sixty-fifth birthday. (Don't ask why sixty-five is so special, it just is.) Her name is Candace Harris, she's an accountant, and she's just as boring and unimpressive as he is. They've been dating long-distance for a little less than two seasons, and even though most people would think that a detached, sexless relationship wouldn't work out, it's perfect for the two of them.

Unlike her boring family, Haruka actually has change to boast about. She somehow managed to graduate from high school, and is still getting used to being on her own. So far, things have been going according to plan. She just recently got a job at the salon, and doing so has boosted her self confidence. She's still a self involved person, but thankfully, she's just as mature for her age as ever. She likes to think of herself as a fashionable young woman, but she's still quite prone to bouts of extreme awkwardness. Her personality has come out more, and she's a bit more playful, since she can be. However, the transition from full time student to full time worker hasn't been the smoothest it could have been; she's bumped along the way, and gets stressed easily.
Aside from that, she's developed her friendship with Raiden to something less forced and awkward, and considers him a friend. And maybe something more. But she'd never admit it. And now that her goal of working as a hairdresser is complete, her next goal is to find a fashionable boyfriend~

When we left Mei two years ago, she was on the verge of a mental breakdown, thanks to one Mr. Mao Xiqui and a general lack of companionship. Two years later, and she's still teetering on that edge, but she has seemingly been getting better. She has managed to take the problems in her life and make lemonade. Her loneliness? Well, she resolved to make herself a better person, and finally summoned the courage to do something she had always been too timid to do -- dye her hair. (Her father had always said that only whores and social deviants dyed their hair.) She took her problems with Mao and... well... she actually kind of made that worse. You see, she focused so much on avoiding Mao, it turned into some warped obsession. She's not sure what she would do without him! It probably one of the few reasons she's still working at the clinic.
However, it's not all bad. She's been housing Catrina for a while now, and she enjoys the catgirl's company, however strange it may be. It's good for her mental well-being to have a steady, long-term friend like that.

Shinju's life has been busy the past two years. Juggling her job at the coffee shop and taking care of her sister and nephew have made sure that she has little time to herself, but she stopped caring long ago. She still works at the coffee shop, as it pays well enough and she's too lazy to find a new job, and her relationship with her sister is still the same, though less pressured than before. However, she's been enjoying her home life more now that Peter can talk.
Being around a small child for so long has stirred something in Shinju, and she has adapted to a more maternal role, and has been wanting to settle down more and more as of late. Most of all, she's just tired of being a twenty-four year old virgin. In a surge of motivation, she cut her hair and started wearing contacts in an attempt to become more attractive, as obviously her personality alone isn't enough to catch someone's interest.

• • • KOTONE TAMAKI Oh, Kotone, the token teen mother of Nirvani! We'd all like to hear about what a wonderful person she has become, what epiphanies she had, what lessons she learned, but sadly to say, she has barely changed in the two years. Except, you know, she's legal this time. She's almost done with school, yet she's made no indications that anything's going to change once she's out. You'd think that everything she's been through, now she would try to make something of herself and help out her sister, right? Nope, not at all. Her meeting with Bela only reaffirmed her desire to be rich and famous, so she's completely content to wait until someone hands it to her. But even though she's just as selfish and abrasive, she's quietly, discreetly trying to become more responsible and mature, because now Peter is old enough to not only speak and understand, but remember.
She has failed to make any real friends. She likes to think that she's best friends with Alanis, because of the student council thing, but it's most definitely one-sided. Maybe.

• • • PETER TAMAKI After two years, Peter is three years old, and is living a surprisingly happy life with his rude, childish mother and strict, hardworking aunt. Thanks to Shinju's hard-a** parenting techniques, he's a quiet, well-behaved child. Because he's his parents' offspring, he's by no means intelligent, and like his mother, he's incredibly gullible and believes everything his friends tell him. He's a timid little boy, but incredibly loving and affectionate. He likes bears and dinosaurs.
He's become good friend with Wilhelm LeBlanc and Muse Sonata, thanks to routinely being hijacked and brought to the Sonata household to play with Muse.

Alex saw a busy two years. With Elliot's graduation, he saw a chance to be a total bachelor again -- and then watched that chance slip away when both of his sisters made it quite clear that they weren't going anywhere. And so, things looked as if they wouldn't change... until! Alex was offered a chance to open his own restaurant and still keep his job at the inn. The past two years have been a flurry of construction plans and business meetings, but now, after two years, his lifelong dream of owning his own restaurant is complete. He's busier than ever, but he's River's boss, and that's kind of awesome. He enjoys being the boss, even though the stress sometimes pushes him over the edge.
Surprisingly, he's become a regular customer at the Magic Box, and relies on Freja's readings before making any major decision. That being said, he's been over quite often since opening his own restaurant, and the two have become friends.

In the past two years, River's life has just kind of... come together. Her pestering finally paid off, as Alex opened his own restaurant, allowing her to work there as Head Waitress. (She's just a normal waitress) Being so close to her beloved big brother has put her into a perpetual state of giddiness, even more so now that Elliot has become so hotgrown-up. She's been a little lonely without Zhi to play with, but she has Una to make up for it, as she's enjoyed the younger girl's company since they all got really drunk at Gaston's wedding. Besides, she's been working extra hard to be a cute, fashionable young woman (it's still not working out that well for her). Still, she's determined to make new friends, since she doesn't know when she'll see Zhi again, and has decided she shouldn't be so dependent on one friend like that. Overall, it's been a great two years for River.

• • • ELLIOT PARK  Elliot Park, now twenty years old, has managed to grow up quite a bit in those two years. Not long after her eighteenth birthday, she had a sudden growth spurt, causing her to not only grow an inch, but also giving her huge tits a new sense of independence. Although she still lives at home, she has gotten a job as an animal trainer, since animals seem to really like her blank demeanor. Since Zhi's sudden departure, she's been a little lonely, but she has her animals to keep her company~
Unfortunately, not everything has been sparkles and roses. Since jerboas only live a few years, Elliot's pet Bokonon passed away just a season prior. However, her sister felt bad, so she bought her a teacup pig for her twentieth birthday. Elliot named him Kazak, after the dog in Galapagos.

• • • NATALIA PIPER  Somehow, Natalia has managed to stay pretty much the same over the past two years, though it really isn't that surprising. Although many things around her have changed, including her boss's, Robert, sudden disappearance, she's managed to become oblivious to all of them. She still hasn't noticed he's actually gone, even though Catrina's in charge, they have a new employee, and, you know, he hasn't shown up in a long, long time. She's too busy bullying Catrina and Zellynity, as she usually does to those she likes. She's happy.

If you thought Nat hadn't changed at all, then Rory's been stuck in place for two years. His job's the same, his friends (meaning Nat) are the same, and he's just been quietly going through life as usual. The only difference is that because Natalia's been harassing her coworkers, she's been a little bit nicer to him. Just a little.
