「Chase Forrester」

Chase hopped up to Onix's head and held on to his horn.
"Let's take this easy for now okay?" Chase called down to Onix. Onix responded by moving through the cave at a steady pace. Chase took a moment to get a sure footing, but he was soon confident enough to ride without holding on.
"All right, let's speed things up a bit." Chase braced himself for the acceleration and held on tight. He wasn't able to be as relaxed at this speed but it was still easy enough.
Pretty soon Chase could see the light at the end of the tunnel in the distance.
"You can take it easy from here Onix." Chase said patting the Pokémon encouragingly. Onix slowed down to a casual crawl and Chase decided to sit down.
He thought back to only a few months ago, before he was about to sit his final exams. He never expected then that he would be here now, sat on his very own Onix. Onix was never a pokémon he'd have thought to have in his team back in school. He liked his Onix though and was glad he decided to keep it. He hoped they'd become closer with more battle experience.
Chase shook himself out of this thoughts and shaded his eyes with his arm as the bright sunlight stung his eyes a bit as they came out of the cave. Chase looked around. He could see quite far around on top of Onix. In front of them he could see trees which Chase thought must be Viridian Forest and behind he could see buildings, including a familiar pokémon centre sign and an impressive looking building Chase thought must be the museum.
"Looks like we're just a stones throw away."╭↖╯
