Sin still had survivors guilt, it was silly but she somehow felt worse for having lived when so many hadn't. It was a small consolation that those students they had feared dead for good were in fact alive...and whole. She cringed at the memory of Riley being sliced up. A lot of things had since before clear to her, the first being her feelings toward a great many fellow students. She had been sure she could hold them at arms length, form alliances, make plans. Everything was complicated now, she rubbed her temples and took a deep breath trying to compose herself. Riley would be here soon if she had received her invitation. Sin wasn't sure yet what she was going to say, or why she should trust Riley, but wasn't that part of the problem? She had come to trust in others, to feel...friendship...loyalty.
She stood and ran her brush through her hair a few times glancing at her reflection. She looked good, put together, not the mess she had been directly after the trip. Inside though everything was still a jumbled confusion. She had extended an offer to Christof, no reply yet it made her antsy. She sighed and sat down, no point pacing, she'd arrive when she arrived.

Ah, the convenience of living in the same dorm. Riley was at Sin's door not too long after she'd received the invite, and she rapped her knuckles against it three times before lifting her hand up and resting it on the upper edge of the doorframe. She leaned lazily against it, and waited.
If Sin hadn't invited her over, she would have made a note to do the same soon enough. Riley's entire body exuded her current demeanor - cool, relaxed, detached. Her finger tapped against her chin as the door opened, curious as to exactly where this conversation would lead.
