Idothea hadn't made many friends since she come to the Ulili'mlindaji, though she had met many others. She was happy to spend her time with her sister but she knew she ought to broaden her social circle, and one particular lioness stuck out in her mind. Siha. Msingi had agreed to help try to find an avian companion for the blue lioness, though it hadn't been a quick task.

But now they had found one. Msingi was convinced she was a perfect match and so Idothea couldn't help but agree. She led the way on the ground, heading for a common area in the lands that Siha might be.

Circling about Idothea, trying to see through the trees and as far as possible without leaving view of the others, Msingi was looking for some sign of the blue lioness. There were a handful of blue lions around now so it wasn't as simple as finding just one.. but it didn't hurt to look out in case Siha was not somewhere Thea might guess.

Za, the white and black vulture lingered quietly in the trees. She wasn't really sure exactly how this was going to go, but she was willing to give this a shot. Drifting from tree to tree, she kept up with the dark brown lioness, keeping her golden eyes locked onto Msingi. Za was still getting used to being in so many trees, but she was heartily enjoying it.

Siha was near one of the small streams that snaked their way through the pride's lands, taking a drink. She had just finished a short tour, and while it may have seemed to go ok, Siha didn't think so. She had worried so much that they were going in the wrong place that she hadn't said much to the visiting pair. Way to be social and welcoming, ugh.

Msingi was the first to spot Siha, though she had to circle down toward the stream before she was sure it was the right lioness- and once she knew, her reaction would have been hard to miss. Twittering gleefully, she changed her course and went for Thea.

"Found her!" she said, doing a clumsy little circle around Thea's head to get her turned the right way, "This way."

Thea was very aware of the vulture moving from tree to tree, she obviously wasn't very good at it yet or she could have done it much more quietly.. but it wasn't a big deal, they weren't hunting.

"Oh!" she said, smiling when Msingi suddenly flew around her and off in the direction they would find Siha, "OK! This way!"

She shook her head, glancing up to where she thought Za might be with a smile- but then she followed after the little songbird.

Once they were headed in the right direction, Msingi didn't care about keeping near the others and went right for Siha- chirping a cheerful hello as she flew around the open area Siha was in, perching on a low branch just as Thea came through the trees.

Za cocked her head to the side, wondering just why Msingi was so darn excited. She kept up her little tree hopping scheme, bouncing around until she noticed that the little yellow bird was chatting happily at a blue lioness. Za kept to the trees, wondering if this is who Msingi was talking about.

Siha glanced upwards to see a little yellow ball of feathers flying at her. "Oh!" She felt drips of water slide off her mouth as she tried to look a little more attentive and less...surprised! "Msingi! Is Idothea with you? Oh!" Man, Siha needed to open up her eyes better. She knew she wasn't going blind, but she needed to be more observant with these things. "Hello Idothea. Why is Msingi so excited today?" she asked with a smile.

From her perch, Msingi sat trying to catch her breath-- but smiling down at Siha the whole time. If she hadn't been doing so much flying around- and then that last little energetic bout- she could have answered Siha herself.. but she needed to sit here and watch for a minute.

"Good afternoon, Siha!" Thea said brightly when she came through the trees, still shaking her head at Msingi, "We've been looking for you, she wanted to talk to you, that's why she's so excited."

She shot a look up to the songbird. She'd done most of the work, she should get most of the credit. But.. Za was the most important part of this little meeting, where had she gotten to now? Thea looked around, having lost track of her in the excitement of finding Siha.

Did that mean that it was Za's turn? She had never really spent much time with lions, and it was hard to judge what it was they wanted. With a sigh, she ruffled her wings and glided down onto the ground, landing with a bit of a thud from the weight of her body. She was much bigger than Msingi.

"Hello."

Siha was doing fine until she realized that this massive thing that fell out of the trees was a vulture. WHAT THE....she felt herself panic, which meant she completely froze up as she looked at the vulture that had eyes so much like her...but...but it was a vulture! Creepy crazy things that Siha just did not really like...

When Za made her appearance, Msingi was ready to join back in- whether or not she had all her breath back now. This was the biggest, best part- she wasn't going to sit in a tree. She fluttered down from the tree, landing beside Za, completely unfazed by the size difference.

"This is Za!" she said as dramatically as she could manage while containing her excitement, "She said she'd like to try working with you!"

Thea watched Za glide down to present herself, smiling widely from bird to bird and then to Siha, completely unaware of exactly what Siha's reaction meant. She was obviously surprised, but that was to be expected! There was no knowing she remembered the suggestion from before.

"Like Msingi helps me," she added for clarification.

Siha blinked, and then swallowed hard. She...well. She was kind of stuck, and was going to have to make this work. "Oh, alright. I was just surprised!" Thankfully the vulture was mostly white, and not black. Siha would have found it harder to deal with Za if she had been. More imposing.

Za was getting a little more curious about this lioness. She could tell how nervous she was, which only egged Za on. She had said that she was interested, but now Za was really feeling interested. "I would be happy to help you."

Siha smiled warily. "Yes...that sounds like an idea." An idea that was going to take a while to get used to.

Msingi was far too excited with the introduction to really notice the way that Siha was handling it, pleased that she seemed to be getting along.

"I knew you'd like it," she said, taking Siha's smile as a good sign, "She was perfect, it wasn't easy finding just the right bird." Never mind that it had been the eyes that really sold Msingi. That and the fact Za was willing to agree (or accept bribery.. how it happened didn't really matter, it was all the same to Msingi).

"Za isn't really from around the jungle part of the lands, so you can show her around here a bit, too," Thea suggested brightly, knowing they would need a chance to really get to know each other-- and they weren't exactly providing an expert on the area.

"She's been very pleasant hanging around with us today, I'm sure you'll get along," she added, finally really noticing the hesitation in Siha, though not fully appreciating it.

Za snapped her beak in something of a chuckle. "It'll be fine. I'm liking these tree things," she said as she glanced around. A tree here or there was common, but there were a lot of them here. Hopping from one to another was much too fun for the vulture. "I learn quick," she added on, trying to assure Siha that she didn't need to worry so much.

Siha still wasn't sure about it but it was hard to refuse a gift. If...Za could be considered as a gift. She was her own creature, but...Siha really didn't know how to take this. "Alright," she answered slowly, glancing from Za, to Msingi, to Idothea. This was quite the surprise. "I guess we'll just take it slow and see how it goes?"

"Sure."

"Great!" Msingi chirped gleefully, pushing herself off the ground and flying up to sit awkwardly on Thea's shoulder. Mission accomplished!

"We should go tell Carina how it went," Thea said, watching Msingi as she flew up to her, "She was too busy to come with us but she wanted to. Do you two want to come with us or..?"

Siha had accepted Za, that was all they really needed to say it went well. Neither of them, nor Carina, were very good at reading further into what was or was not said when dealing with things like this.

Za glanced towards Siha, letting the lioness give the call on this one. She didn't know how this pride worked, and it'd take a while for her to adjust living around so many other creatures.

Siha glanced at Za, and then back at the pair. "No, go on ahead. I think we'll slowly start the process of getting to know one another." She offered the pair an encouraging smile, only hoping for the best of this new friend of her's.
