 Adrenaline pounded through Bourkan's veins, syncing with the pounding of his heavy hooves on the ground as he blindly charged forward. The black cloth covering his eyes blocked out all, and between the sounds of his blood rushing and his heart's heavy thumping, he could not use his hearing to guide him. He was by all rights, a hundred percent blind. At any giving moment, he could crash into one of the few trees that were scattered along the open country side. It was dangerous, and he loved it.
His father could never grasp what motivated the young stallion into taking such risks. He scolded Bourkan at any given chance, speaking of how it would not only be Bourkan who would be hurt should he finally slip up, but it would also hurt those who cared about him.
It'd be simple enough to tell his father why he took such risks. That the feeling of the adrenaline rush was addictive for him. And that unlike his father, he did not want to wander through life filled with hate. He wanted to love every moment, and that meant doing as he desired. No matter what the desire may be.
Cold water greeted his hoof, finally causing the stallion to skid to a halt. Or attempt to anyways. His momentum continued, his hooves sinking into the muddy bottom of the shallow creek he'd charged into. Waves of water violently rushed away from the zone in which his large body had impacted on the water's surface after toppling over.

 Sallexis was enjoying some time alone. She loved it. It gave her some time to be a girl. Living with a group of boys often made her favor times like these. She trodded slowly through an open field with her wings outstretched to catch the warmth of the sun and stopped briefly to admire a passing butterfly. She smiled to the softly fluttering creature and it greeted her with a small flutter against her nose.
Everything was peaceful in the field. A cool breeze, a warm sun, the gentle songs of birds about and..... pounding hoof beats??
Her ears flicked forward and darted to find the source, only to see a large Soquili pounding forward recklessly near her direction. She breifly wondered if maybe he was running from something but how could he with a piece of fabric over his eyes....
'Oh Crap...'
Her ears flattened and her eyes widened as she realized that he was running blindly and she fluttered her wings quickly to lift her up and out of the way. Too shocked and surprised to say anything as he raced passed - quite elegantly, she might would add - she settled to follow him for curiosity's sake.
Many questions flitted through her head. Who was he? Where did he come from? Why was he doing something so incredibly insane that it almost made her giggle and want to try for herself... Her thoughts distracted her long enough to not see the danger that might befall him up ahead. She gasped sharply and fluttered her wings into a hover then cringed and flinched as the inevitable sound of him crashing into the creek echoed.
"Ouch..." she half whispered to herself then dove down to a rather panicked and rough landing at the creek's bank.
"Are you ok?! Hello?!" she asked, trying her best to not panic given his current situation and position.

Water flooded areas that is should not be when Bourkan made the mistake of attempting to inhale while under the water. He kicked and struggled to find purchase in the muddy water bed. Something not easily done considering his large and heavy frame.
Amidst his struggling, he could have sworn he'd heard a muffled voice. Was someone speaking to him? And more importantly, was someone watching him?! Just the thought of being seen like this had his gut burning with such embarrassment that it hurt even more than his screaming lungs.
Finally managing to roll and get his legs under him, he heaved himself up above the surface. He coughed up the water that had flooded his lung and then sucked in the much needed air. The blindfold that had once covered his onyx eyes now hung down to his nose in a comical manner. Blinking against the blinding light, he squinted his eyes to try and find someone was indeed around.
"Hello?" he croaked out.

"Spirits help you!" she gasped and scrambled into the water. "Are you alright? Can you walk?" She swiftly moved to his side as to offer support, her own wings lifting and stretching high to stay out of the water. "You didn't injure your wings in landing, did you?"
She sounded slightly panicked, though she was relieved that he was at least conscious and active. Such a crash could have ended so much worse than it had been.
"C'mon..." she started softly, nudging him towards the shore. "Let's get some solid ground beneath your hooves." She may have been smaller than him by comparison, but she at least attempted to put forth a lot of effort in offering him support should he stumble.
