Lately the crew has been busy planning new events to help boost activity in the guild. For that to be successful, we need some ideas of what you guys like, and what you'd be interesting in participating in. I'll be posting the ideas we already came up with below, so feel free to comment, suggest more/fewer rules, or come up with a totally different idea that you'd like us to host.

Chaotik Lottery
Members pick numbers (5g each)
Winning numbers are chosen by generating a random number/rolling dice with a post
Guess one digit to win 100g, 2 to win 150, 3 to win 1000, ect. Up to 20k (7 digits)
Story-Telling Contest
A theme is chosen at the beginning of each month
Entrants write a short story around chosen theme
Stories should be from 5-20 paragraphs in length
Judging will be based on creativity/originality, how entertaining it was, if the crew was in it and how awesome it made us look, believable characters, and of course spelling, punctuation, grammar, ect.
Trivia
Every week a trivia question will be posted, members answer it for a reward
Search engine use is prohibited, and we will find out if you cheat.
We will know.
May or may not pertain to the theme/events of the previous meet-up
Choosing a MoM!
(Unabbreviated: Member of the Month)
Points are earned by donating to the guild and participating in contests
More are awarded for winning contests
Also for good behavior and crewing with the crew in zOMG
The Guild MoM may acquire as-of-yet-unthought of privileges

Nice ideas and I definitely like the lottery and trivia ideas. MoM also sounds cool.
And I think gold is the best option for prizes. But I wanted to vote for "other" too, I think it would be fun if, e.g. MoM would receive a small-chaos themed tag with "Congratulations! You're the member of the month of C.H.A.O.S. (in *insert month, year?*)"
Or something like that... biggrin

That's a good idea.
We were actually thinking about buying the MoM a piece of art.
Adding the date and "Member of the Month" would be a nice touch, I think.

Time to revive this. . . I want you guys to see what we, the Higher-ups, have planned just for all of you. :3
Also, I want to know something else. . .
If I held a Competition, a VERY fair competition, for a new Crewmember- Like, finding a new and ACTIVE Crewmember, would any of you be interested in joining?
And before you ask, the Prizes would be: 100k gold (originally I intended 75k, but then I thought I'd be nice and put up 100k instead. You're welcome.), an automatic spot in the 'Member of the Month', Art from a good artist (and trust me, I know plenty of talented artists), and you'd have a hand in the important decisions we'll be making in the future.
So. . . If I held this little contest, would any of you be interested in joining? I don't care if I know you or not, had beef with you in the past, or whatever. I want a more active crew, because frankly I hate having Crim do all of the Crew work.
If you guys are interested, let me know here.

@Angelo: I'd be interested. ^^ I mean, it would be nice to have a slightly better idea of what would be expected of the winner of such a contest beforehand, but yeah.

@ Adrienne: Well, I'd expect them to be ACTIVE, Activity is important to me, and I'd hope they know their way around the ToS, plus CHAOS' rules. And I'd like for the chosen Crewmember in question to be good with people, and have a sense of humour.

Well, just try to attend parties as much as possible- preferably not missing more than three in a row (without a reasonable excuse). Participate in discussions and contests. Post in guild threads (Games are very easy, and look into some topics in the Nattering Skull) Post in this thread (which, honestly, I think most people don't know exists). Not-really-qualifications-on-activity-but-still-advantageous-to-you Propose new ideas for contests Crew with other members in zOMG Play OMGPOP games with them. (We love us some Draw My Thing) And [at least pretend to] be nice and friendly

Etrom,. . . Riiv lives in Finland. Yet he has made it to A TON of meet-ups. He was there, he had fun.
Yeah, being in bed asleep is a good excuse. You forget that we understand your position, and everyone else's. We're well-aware that not everyone in this Guild is from the states.
But bascially what Saku said (all in a nutshell), Only I'd rather people NOT pretend to be nice, because I want REAL people on the crew. I want geniunely nice people- Helpful, Enthusiastic, Energetic people. Because, honestly, NOBODY is going to turn to a douchebag when they need help with something. Nobody is going to turn to some pompous-a**; Who are they going to turn to? The nice person with the warm and fuzzy attitude. And I want people on my crew to be just that. Warm, and fuzzy, damn it!

indeed, but i try to wake up at 3 am to talk to my girlfriend. at the time the meet-ups start my brain is already dead sweatdrop
so you want teddy bears. ok, it is possible
