Once this place might have been beautiful, and there are those who still think it so, yet times here has virtually frozen. An eclipse of the sun gives an eerie appearance of half shadow, half light, and chill in the air yet warm winds blowing across the pitted landscape of sands. All anyone knows is that signs of Kor can still be found, and that was enough to attract interest from both sides of the coin.
Solars have made tiny fortifications and tiny villages where the light still hits, enclaves sent out to explore the rough world and to push back the encroaching Darkness. Able to slip past patrols through shadows, sneak attacks are common and heavy casualties are felt on both side. Whatever importance lies hidden in this place, only the Kor really know, and the rest wish to find out, no matter the cost.
