Tachio was looking for mud next to the lake. But it wasn't just any mud that she was looking for. It was special mud, mud filled with slippery, slide-ery worms and bugs and other creepy crawly things! She had woken up with mud dried in her tail again, and it was about time to get revenge! Besides, Mura would blend into the scenery for pouncing so much better with a bit of dirt--

She stopped, turning to n** at the crusty mud in her fur. It itched! She was so busy flea biting that she didn't even see the female approaching the lake. "She coulda at least woke me up to do it," she complained, trying to comb the mud out with a claw.

Tachio glanced up at the cry, cocking her head slightly before getting to her feet and padding over to the other female. She waited until she was right next to the older girl to speak, her voice just a bit too loud.

"Hello!" she said. "Do you see any worms in there?" She still hadn't learned that doing things like that was likely to give someone a heart attack, or at least make them get water up their noses.

"I'm looking for mud!" Tachio said. "My sister stuck mud in my tail so now it's all stiff and itchy, so she needs some too! Something with lots and lots of worms," she added with a wicked little smile. "And other creepy crawly things, too! Have you seen any?" she asked, starting to look around again.

Her tail flicked in the air, revealing the tufts of fur that were sticking up in odd directions to prove what had happened. "Something really dirty, cuz she's so white."

"Thank you!!" Tachio said joyfully. "With two of us looking I'm sure we can find enough mud to make her turn brown!" Which clearly was the best thing in the entire world to the little cub. She headed for the water, her tail flicking back and forth happily as she looked deep into the watery depths. "Ooooh, fish!" she said, distracted. "I see fish!"

"These fish--" Tachio said, jumping forward to catch the fish to show her new friend, only to wind up belly-flopping into the water, the fish disappearing entirely and the poor cub staring wide eyed at the water that she was now in.

She swum to the surface, looking for her friend, only to see the little lioness fall in as well. "Whoops."

"The fish are gone!" Tachio called back, clearly focused on that instead of how she had just accidentally fallen into the water. "Fishiess!! Here fishy fishy!! Come back here!" she called, swimming around in circles, dunking her head under the water to try and find the fish. She came up spluttering a second later. "It got up my nose," she told her friend, snorting loudly. "I was going to show you the fishies!"

Mud forgotten Tachio and her new friend (whose name she couldn't remember for the life of her, but that had never stopped her before) spent the next hour searching for fish and scaring the life out of them when they found them.

It was only when the sun started going down that Tachio realized that her family was probably worried about her. "I should go," she told her friend. "What did I come here for again, anyway?" she asked, looking around for a bit. "Oh well, it was fun!" she said before swimming for the shore.
