Jed was shown standing backstage. This video was shown before the PPV preview started. The part of the program that showed all the hype up to the World bout. Jed looked towards the camera.
"I've held this.. This Torch. "
Jed put his hands together like he was praying and then he spread them to show his palm.
"This Torch that says that I'm the best. The greatest professional wrestler and no matter what any one says I'll be the top guy. Weither it's me losing or winning. My matches were what people remembered. "
Jed paused for just a second.
"I received the Torch from A True Legend of Professional Wrestling. His' name was The Maverick Jet. On that day that he gave me the torch, August 28, 2007. I knew it was time for a change. Lets watch what The Maverick Jet said about me.
"Wrestling was going great and was a lot of fun but I wasn't able to put as much effort as I wanted. And eventually it became apparent that Jed was ready for the win and carry GWF on his shoulders from where I left off."
Jed clapped after the video was done.
"That was the defining moment in my career, the day I knew I was top dog. When I knew I made it. When I made it there was nothing left for me to do except defend it. Defend GWF, The Undisputed championship, and The Torch. For a short while someone tried to take everything away, but I soon regained it all. That was November 30th, 2007. The day I regained The Undisputed Championship, this championship around my waist. I'm the longest reign champion in the history of GWF, maybe even a few other companies. "
Jed paused as a small tear came from his eye.
" I've defended this title against anyone at any time. I defend it against people I love, and people I hate. Even those people that suck. Because as Champion you have to do it. You have to put up with bullshit and just push on. That's what I've been doing for more than 3 years. It seems like no one is going to beat me and take my place. "
Jed looked down sort of looking disappointed. But soon he smiles.
"That's not a bad thing, because then I'll be here able to wrestle for all you great fans. Like tonight at World Bout when I face a person that has stabbed me in the back before, Justin Amaze. I could easily say no to this title match. I could. I could even say the reason I don't want to face this person is because he is disrespectful. Also he let success and other peoples opinions into his head. BUT seeing I'm champion. I'll deal with it, because that's what Champions do. We push through those matches for the people. That's the reason I wrestle."
Jed looked at the camera not blinking.
"And Tonight, for fun, I'll probably look at this match being America vs Canada. On one side you have The Canadian Standard, and on the other The American Born Hero. A Match people have been begging for. Tonight at GWF World Bout, The challenger, Justin Amaze vs Myself, Jed. For The Undisputed Championship of the world. "
Jed paused.
"I know you people are ready for this match up. I am. I'm ready to push Justin to his Limits, and maybe over the top rope!"
Jed smiled as the video ended.
