For those that excessively shadow (a.k.a. "Stalk") Jim and his many feeds, Book 14, Cold days, is now in the works, and due before the end of the year. Which means, we could be looking at a very early (Feburary-March) release of the 14'th installment of The Dresden Files.

So far, all we know is the working title and that it's due before 2012. The info came straight from Jim's Twitter account.

Woot, woot! As nice as it is to know the next novel is already being worked on, I'm just itching for Ghost Story to come out already.

I really hope he finds a loophole or something to get out of being the Winter Knight. Mab is eeevil.... Useful sometimes, but still evil.

No she's not. Not really. Mab is the Winter Queen. A blizzard isn't evil. A storm is never cruel. It just is. It doesn't hate the people who die in it. Mab isn't evil or malicious; she simply is. Winter is what it is, bitter cold and howling gale. I don't think good or evil apply to the Sidhe.

I'm annoyed now. Wasn't Ghost Story orginally set to come out around this time and not in the summer? And yet he is working on the 14th! I heard rumors that he had to show the start of the 13th before he was allowed to use the ending of the 12th so he should be done already dang it! *shakes fist*
I refuse to speculate on the 14th until I have read the 13th.

Can I still say Mab's mean though? lol sweatdrop Well, yeah. Winter is cruel. I think that's the mistake people make when it comes to beings like Mab and Titania. They think that because Mab represents winter (and therefore cold, destruction and death) she's evil, but she's not, because those things are simply natural. They also think that because Titania represents summer (and therefore heat, creation and life) she's good, but she's not, because those things are natural too. And there's bad sides to Summer and good sides to Winter. Remember what Bob said? If Summer wins, then the world enters an era of rampant growth, which doesn't sound too bad. Not if you're an Ebola virus, becausey you'll have lots of new friends. And remember that without Winter and death, there'd be overpopulation and global warming and everything going to hell. Balance is the key. 3nodding

Ghost Story was pushed back months ago dude. Butcher said he needed more time to polish it, and that it was just harder to write, because all of the things Harry could normally do were not on the table for this book. Sure, i wish it was already out, but I'm willing to wait a few months more. It's not like he's RR Martin and you're waiting YEARS for each book...
